The issue ended up being a massive hair clog caused by long curly hair and our failure to use a proper drain strainer. What impressed me was Richard himself. He was transparent, respectful, calm, and genuinely teachable. No polished sales routine. No pressure tactics. Just a real young man willing to work, learn, explain things clearly, and build trust honestly through empathy, grit, humility, and care. During the visit he shared some of the life lessons that shaped his path into the trades after originally studying MIS before COVID disrupted opportunities in that field. He seems to have discovered that hands-on work fits him well. "hard sell" - the homeowner kept asking them to leave as they wanted to get more bids. The sales guy Monjour hooked some woman on the phone and it is one of those sales tactics, you know. Becasue of the insufferable heat and their GUARANTEE that the unit would be repaired "SAME DAY" the homeowner agreed. The install was completed around 930 pm. homeowner immediately noticed that the a/c wasn't working, called abacus and was told someone would be out "shortly" never happened. contacted monjour who (see photo) said in a text they would install a wall unit in the dog room (the dogs were overheating and had to be taken to a vet) the room temp was 85 degrees all night. So someone LEO shows up today. Fixed the problem but refused to install the window unit and just DROVE AWAY without saying anything!!! Also the control panel UI isn't the one that the homeowner was shown in the "sale" plus there was to be an air duct cleaning, and a new concrete pad put down according to monjour. ALLAN O"NEIL shame on you. this is a scam company, prey on the elderly why don't ya. They are taking this to court unless the window unit is installed as promised. note the screen shot says NOTHING about if or when the upstairs unit works.
