Ok, so here's the deal. Number one, while I love a good movie night, I personally find movies to be a huge ripoff. It's not the theater's fault. They really only make money on concessions, hence the huge concession prices. The door generally goes to the rental of the movie. And intellectually I both understand and respect this, however, my wallet and debit card don't care. They want a deal. And thus, the deal. I think this is the cheapest deal in town for a movie, provided you are willing to do a little planning and leg work. 1. Go to the twilight show. It's the cheapest seating. 2 prepurchase gift cards at Sam's (2@$25 cards for $40) or Costco (4@25 cards for $75) and use these to purchase your movie tickets and concessions. These are good even on the first night of a movie, unlike those discount tickets you can occasionally order. 3. Sign up for their rewards program and accumulate points. This allows me and the Honeybun to go to the movies for about $5 each. Not as cheap as my beloved dollar theaters from when I lived up north but hey, I'm not driving back there just to see a movie. No, they don't have those cushy recliner style chairs but hell, those things cost money and that's why those places are about $15 a ticket. Screw that! If you're the kind of person who hits up the candy aisle at the Dollar Tree before you hit the movies (and I am) then this is the way to maximize your entertainment dollar!! read more

Theater 2 in the theater complex was muggy and had water pockets hanging from the ceiling. The popcorn was stale and even after they supposedly popped it fresh it was bad. Walking out the handrail made my hand turn black. The staff was nice but the whole place looks run down. read more

I know I can count on your bathrooms to have soap and toilet paper, your ticket counters to have staff behind them and your ticket prices to be under $20 for two adults; something your competitor still can't seem to figure out. No, you don't have a fake IMAX screen or always broken make-your-own-soda machines but you also don't CHARGE me to belong to your rewards club while still hooking me up with popcorn refills for two dang quarters. They sometimes seat you in the theater that has no rised seats. I, being relatively shorter than the multitude of people sitting in front of me, do not enjoy this. However, the closed captioning service always works, unlike the service at the IMAX theater near the Grand Prairie mall. It is a very good theater overall, with an even amount of advantages and disadvantages. However, someone who may not need a closed captioning service may not see that upside. The service is good- the same as any other movie theater. Overall this is a very good movie theater. I definitely prefer this over the other two movie theaters in Peoria. On a side note, I wish they would let you rate half stars. I would rate this 3.5 if given the choice. read more

I think this theater is underrated. Well a lot of the ratings are old. I personally love that for new releases, they show the movies at midnight on Fri & Sat, and they usually give away posters. Besides the new releases, they show classic films & indie films. Plus they have comfortable seats and friendly employees. So a movie nerd like me is very satisfied with this place. read more

I like this place a lot, mostly because it is the closest to us. There are lots of theaters and the quality and seats are nice. They have decent student discounts and if you subscribe to their frequent moviegoer card (free), you can earn discounts on concessions and see certain movies for $4 (mostly 1-2 week old releases). Another plus is that during the summer, they offer $1 kids films five days a week once a day, not first run films, but good nonetheless. This is my favorite movie theater during the day but by nighttime, you get the crowds. Ticket prices and concessions are reasonably priced. Standard variety of movie theater concessions, and their popcorn is excellent. And they have free popcorn seasoning at the end of the counter. The GQT rewards card is amazing. Willow Knolls has the best rewards card out of all three movie theaters. You rack up points from tickets and concessions for free stuff easily. Plus, if you are a Sam's Club member (which is a couple stores down), you can get $50 in gift cards for $40! Service is always friendly. The theaters themselves are large, picture quality is okay, sound quality is okay, and the seats are rather comfortable. The cleanliness could use improvement. Unfortunately, during the evenings and weekends, this place gets a little crowded and loud. This does affect the moviegoing experience for some, and the teenagers working aren't going to kick anyone out. Best time to go is Tuesday (Tuesday specials for tickets and concessions), early matinees, or Monday through Thursday. read more

I've lived in Peoria for close to 15 years and have always enjoyed Willow Knolls however I recently discovered why it truly is a great place to go, the people. I lost my late grandmothers ring and was heartbroken at the thought of not having that piece of her with me. I called Willow to see if they had seen it or someone had turned it in, as I had seen a movie earlier that day. No luck. But they promised to keep me in the loop and eventually found it, called me back, and I now have that ring again! I am so grateful for their kindness, understanding, and hard work. They went above and beyond for a stranger like me and that is such an undervalued characteristic. Thank you Willow! read more

I hadn't been to Willow Knolls since the Rave was built until this past weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to see they made several upgrades. They put in new seats that are comfy and have leather on the headrest, no fear of head lice! Some theatres have stadium seating. The picture and sound were good, and concessions were fine. The seats are comfortable, but for some reason everytime I go here I have to contend with A holes that what to talk through the entire movie. Weekends are like a teen convention. I will pay the extra 2 dollars to enjoy a movie with relative peace. read more

There's no reason to go here because you can go to Landmark a few miles away and see the same movies for a lower cost and get the same concessions for a lower cost. They seem to have the same number of ignorant trash who are going to be on the phone during the movie. read more
