When I used the tape gun to tape a box, the guy asked me who is going to pay for the tape. When I asked him to how much is to used the tape and tape gun, he pointed the new tape to purchase. I picked up the boxes and left the store to go to any other store. It not that I couldn't afford it, it's just the cold poor attitude towards customers service. Not being racist, but the Asian guys at the register needs to take Customer Service 101 course. I will never return to this store again. The other UPS store little south of this store has good service, I never experienced any issue there. Edited Review: the response by the store is not accurate. I brought 6 boxes in total and only two of them were open and I had 4 shipping labels. To give context to the review. These were window blinds that Home Depot provide the return label for inaccurate size. There were two blinds that were only 11" wide and when I received them they were bundled together and same with 23" blinds - others were larger and had independent labels. Home Depot shipped it that way and expected it return the same way. The guy never cared to actually walk around the counter to look, but started passing comments behind the counter which was not helpful. Even after I explained him the situation and how I received it and I am not sure what the UPS and Home Depot contract is and I am just here to ship the way as I received, the guys started questioning me. I am like, "I don't know." What do you expect? Call and negotiate the UPS and Home Depot corporate contract? This store does have very poor service and never been helpful. When I went to other UPS store they first greeted me, held the door so I can bring all the packages, helped me with the shipping/packages and when I spoke to them about what I experienced at this store they just laughed and told me they would never do and I am always welcome at their store. I understand that I should have brought the box taped (which I offered to pay, not for a full new tape roll), but I am talking about customer service and the manner it was dealt with. The guys had full opportunity to better explain and help me understand, but he chose to offer poor service and was very condescending - this is the choice he made. I have experienced this in the past and so did my family and community members. Like I mentioned before, the store needs customer service and verbal/non-verbal communication skills. It is fair to say that, my family and I won't be returning there. I have never experienced this at any FedEx, UPS, DHL or even USPS locations. World Class Service comment is a joke. Also, in the response it was mentioned that they print the label free, but the other review mentioned that he was charged for label printing. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this hit me as this happened on Veterans Day and when I picked up the boxes and left, it did cross my mind that there are people who sacrifice everything and then there are these people who cannot even be nice. I was there and you and you other coworker didn't help me in any way possible. Just made smart comments from behind the counter. If this considered world class service by you, then this store is hopeless. You are averaging 3 out of 5 stars. If you listen to customers and implement some change then maybe you will be on track to becoming better.

I don't like writing this review, but I had one of the most uncomfortable retail experiences here…read more I wanted to buy uhaul boxes, and didn't realize that I wasn't going to a uhaul specific location, but no big deal. They don't offer bundle discounts if you buy 20/25 boxes like uhaul, but fine I was already there. I was prepared to pay more money per box. Once I checked out I went to my car and checked uhaul prices, I was charged $4 for medium boxes, $39 for 10 medium boxes. At uhaul it's $39 for 20 boxes. I came back apologizing saying I'm sorry but with the price 2x as much I needed to return them. The owner was *angry* raising his voice saying there was no price difference arguing with me, as I had the site open ready to show him. He angrily waved me off saying fine and a woman began to refund me. She was huffing, rolling her eyes, acting irritated with me. She didn't refund me tax (they do everything manually), and when i pointed that out and asked to do at first she repeatedly refused...umm that's illegal. Finally she did, with a very unpleasant attitude. At the end I softly said, hey I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. You guys charge 2x as much as uhaul, and I should showed my phone to her. She aggressively raised her voice shutting me down waving me off. Well. Alright. I went to uhaul and bought 20 boxes for $39. Instead of 10 for $39. Most aggressive retail experience I've had. Just...feral. I work retail myself...I was kind, calm, respectful the entire time :-/.

I called the shop to see if it was left behind and to see if they could check to see. The employee wasn't willing to help, so I asked for the owner. He got on the phone and was immediately angry with me for suggesting something was left behind. He went on to tell me that he doesn't make a penny for accepting my pre-paid packages (which is I know is incorrect because I used to work with a shipping shop personally). I asked him to stop raising his voice at me, and as a local resident I would think he would be willing to help me locate this package. His answer...."Call UPS and have fun trying to find it." and then he hung up on me. I've read some poor reviews of this place on Facebook before, but had been giving him the benefit of the doubt. Beware - and know that there are several other ship shops in Trophy Club and Roanoke, and I would advise driving right on down 114 to the next one. In reponse to owners answer - I called the shop to see if the package was still there because UPS doesn't show that it was ever scanned in to their system. I would think this would be the obvious question any normal customer would ask. Did I accuse him of theft? How ridiculous....I was simply asking if they could do a once over to see if it was left behind because it was an envelope and not a box. He IMMEDIATELY was rude and disrespectful. He refused to even look and hung up on me.

When I first walked in I stopped to view the greeting cards. I could feel the employees watching me at the printer counter.(Mind you I was not greeted coming into the store) but I continued reading about 3 different clever birthday cards. As I began to walk the center aisle I was approached by a short hispanic woman who had come from the register, I assume she was the manager, asking if I needed help finding anything. I told her a 5 Star- 5 subject notebook. As she guided me to the notebooks I tried making small talk and she abruptly cut me off and ignored me. We walked in silence until we made it to the aisle. When we got to the notebooks she kurtly threw her hand up and said here are the 5 subject notebooks and walked away. They didn't have the color I wanted either. I was going to get a different brand but I noticed the priced was a bit high for a notebook. So I pulled out my phone to compare to stores around me and I found what I was looking for at a much better price. I began to exit the store, I notice various employees are surveilling me. I sat in an office chair to test it out. Since I work from home I sit alot and my back bothers me from time to time. I take a slip and exit the store. As I leave I notice there is a black male standing by the door watching me leave until I got in my car. I never shop at Office Max, but after the way I was treated. I won't be back.
