Always on the search for quik in and taco places I tried this today. Friendly staff with owner present, they were engaging and helpful. I tried three tacos, pastor, guisada and chicken mole but unfortunately they all suffered from the same problem as the salsas that were served with the chips....no flavor. All were served on dense yellow corn tortillas that fell apart about half way throuh eating and all were also barely warm. The only thing I could taste in the pastor was the pineapple, the mole did have a hint of sweetness but the chicken (which I assume was added at the last minute) lacked seasoning and the pastor was pretty greasy. While the chips were pretty good the red sauce tasted like it came from a jar and the light green sauce while somewhat refreshing had no punch. Guess its back to taco trucks and Torchys. OMG just tried this place for the first time. I've been meaning to stop here for months so mad I hadn't stop sooner. I had Pepe's fajita taco, it was well seasoned very flavorful, I had them hold the onions as I hate onions, I also had the Baja Fish & Shrimp taco all on flour tortillas. By far my favorite was the Baja shrimp. It had 3 of the most juiciest shrimps, this taco to was well seasoned. I will be going back. read more

Those nachos tho! Them egg rolls too. everything from the service to the food...A+. I highly suggest the nachos...only slight downside is maybe a little more steak in the nachos. The meat was definitely cooked well. The egg rolls will change your life. That's all Ima say about that. read more

I don't recommend the street tacos as they may seem inexpensive on Tuesdays, but they are the tiniest tacos with out any extra ingredients. The meats were tasty and so were the salsas and sauces. I recommend the regular full size tacos for best meal experience. read more

Stopped in to try a taco. This was the second location my daughter and l drove by that day so we thought we would check it out. I feel like they are competing with Torchy's. We ordered a taco and drink each & shared chips & salsa. First, the drinks: l can't remember the brand, but all of the sodas are awful. They are some type Pepsi product boasting no artificial sweeteners & natural sugars. However, it left you with a diet soda aftertaste (we tried a few different ones).the barbacoa taco was SUPER greasy & wasn't all that big. You get way better at Taco Cabana. My daughter ordered a regular ground beef taco. It looked good and tasted good but was SUPER greasy. Both taco's were over priced at $3.50 each. Finally, the chips & salsa: the chips were good & the salsa was pretty good. We were given several types. The red and green salsas in the bowls were not hot at all but tasty. Two others were another green and an orange (ish) ones. The green was really good and we asked and were told the orange one was the hottest one they have. Now hot is relative when it comes to salsa but for this woman, it wasn't spicy at all. Unfortunately, with all the great tex-mex in south Texas, this place is not trying hard enough. There is way better out there. Los Gemelos on Veterans Memorial is a great example of cheap/good food. You get twice the meat, it's authentic & it's $2 a taco. read more

Pretty good food but a little too pricey I got the California burrito which was delicious.

I wanted a quick small bite since it was 2pm and i missed lunch. Stopped by and was impressed I could find a delicious soft chicken taco plate with heathy toppings and a side of mole sauce. I will come back again to try other items before I can rate it higher than average. read more

I ordered for pick up here and got 3 breakfast tacos, Barbacoa, steak and Mixto. GET THE BARBACOA, it's amazing please just try. The steak was fantastic as well the Mixto! Ate there today for the first time. After a challenging time ordering with a cashier that spoke unbroken English and had a hard time answering our questions about their tacos, when we received our ordered, they were delicious. We will be back. My only complaint, and I'd love to suggest to the owner but probably won't, is their shrimp tacos came with 3 whole large shrimp which made it difficult to eat. I would love it if they would chop the shrimp into smaller pieces for ease of bites. Also a condiment bar would be really awesome. But other than that, really good chicken steak and shrimp tacos. read more

Have been here several times and every time it is delicious! I've had the shrimp tacos, street tacos, queso, micheladas and margaritas and it's all really good! The service is really good! Excellent. The food reminds me of when I was still living in San Diego. Brought back a lot of memories with their California Burritos and their Fajita Tacos. Their drink selection is delicious, I've never heard of "Stubborn" soda but it's really good! Staff is friendly and welcoming! I'm coming back here very soon! read more

This is my first time to leave a review, so I don't know the exact etiquette. My husband and I had read about this place, but we weren't really sure what to expect. The location is on the small side but it's really clean, well kept and offers a relaxing aesthetic. The staff were all genuinely friendly and you could tell there is a lot of love being put into this place and the food because it was all DELICIOUS! There are so many options in this city for tacos, but they truly set themselves apart from the rest. Their menu offers a wide variety of taco choices as well as items like nachos, enchiladas, burritos, etc. For our family, we ordered the bottomless table chips and salsa, Texmex ground beef tacos, the cheese enchilada platter, fajita chicken tacos on flower, fajita chicken street tacos, and barbacoa street tacos. A lot of places serve "barbacoa" tacos, but they're not traditional at all. This place is serving them up traditionally and with amazing flavor! I can't find barbacoa like this at brick and mortar spots. I usually have to hit up the taco trucks for it. THEY WERE SO BOMB! The ground beef tacos were the best my husband has ever had, and this man knows his tacos. Every single thing we had was delicious. The red and green salsa for the chips were great, but the salsa verde salsa for the tacos was my favorite. Tomatillos are so often not handle correctly in making verde salsa, but this stuff is magic. It packs the spicy sweetness that salsa verde should provide. I can't say enough good things about this place. The meats are tender (not chewy), flavorful and there is lots of it! Even my two year old was impressed. Her shredded cheese and queso smothered enchiladas were creamy and a hit. We are already planning our picks for our next trip. The trash can nachos and chimichangas are next on our list! Seriously, give this place a try because you will not be disappointed!! read more

We have frequented this place quite a bit since it opened and really haven't had any complaints until tonight. My wife and I went in and ordered our food. Also saw on the wall there "Bottomless Chips and Salsa" was an extra $1.95. I don't recall the last time I paid extra for chips and salsa at a Tex-Mex restaurant but it wasn't a big deal, paid the extra and sat at our table waiting for our food. Not once did we get offered a refill on our "Bottomless Chips and Salsa" again didn't think much of it as we were ready to leave until I asked for some chips and salsa to go. This is where I have been turned off and will never come back. So apparently the "Bottomless Chips and Salsa" is for dine-in only. Which we did and were now wanting to leave. Again we paid extra and never got a refill on the chips or the salsa and now I asked for some to go and the girl behind the counter acted as if this was life or death to give me some chips and salsa to go. Again, I paid extra for this. I asked again for some extra salsa and chips and again was told it's for dine in only and would not budge. This was turning into a joke that this person was arguing with me about the take home chips and salsa. I again reminded her that we paid for this and never even received a refill. This entire experience turned me off from here and I will not be returning here ever again because of how stingy and petty these people are. "Bottomless Chips and Salsa" that you pay extra for is not that. You may get ONE basket of chips and 2 small salsas. Good luck. read more

First let me start off by saying I have eaten at grab n go the past 4 nights and let me just say the consistency is unheard of. People can complain of them being slow etc but u know what being a little slow is ok when the food is on point and fantastic. Darren and his wife are a hidden gem in spring. This places food is incredible and to be honest if you have any complaints about this place your just pretty much are on another planet. I was a regular nightly customer at el tiempo vintage park until I tried this place. Now I'm a regular customer at grab n go tacos and I'm proud of it. Darren and his wife are fantastic people and are really working very hard to try and impress the spring crowd with their fantastic food. Guys and gals let me tell u I am very picky but their is no food that matches grab n go anywhere in this area so when you get the chance do yourself and your families a favor and give them a try. I suggest the diablo taco plate the enchiladas the quesadillas and if you really wanna treat get the trash can nachos or the adobe wings there ABSOLUTLEY insane!!! I wanted to like it. Everyone was so nice. However tacos and nachos are pretty basic. Few ingredients and you have a beloved taco. The thing that sets tacos and nachos apart are the meat and cheese. Unfortunately my chicken nachos were bland; no seasoning on the chicken and cheese seemed canned. On top of flavorless layers of bland. Eat and cheese was cream and that didn't help at all. It was a huge portion but unfortunately my teenager didn't eat them all. The ground beef taco was greasy and meat quality wasn't there. Perhaps the burritos or fajita tacos would be more flavorful? read more

First time trying this place. One of the worse places I've tried. Food was not good at all. No flavor and bland. Then on top of that they forgot some of our food and the third party delivery service they use was horrible. Driver asked if he had to deliver the food to the door and he didn't even check the order to be sure all the food was there before delivering it. Worse food and delivery service.
