Venturing into the former (what I thought would be vacant) Keg and Case, I slowly discovered a…read moretotally fresh concept with what appeared to be pinball only machines setup on the exterior level at first glance. Upon further investigation, I learned how it all works post speaking with the staff member. First off, the pinball exterior machines are ran by a totally different company than Starcade and all those machines are .25 cents each. Starcade is stucked inside the former giant main restaurant of Keg and Case which offers unlimited gaming for $20. All the machines are set to free play after you pay the fee. There is a bar serving basic snacks such as chips, pizza and on tap local sodas. The liquor license was just recently obtained and the staff seems to think this will get rolling out within the next few months. I'm not a gamer, yet I can tell you lots of games exist vs. just pinball like the exterior. Inside Starcade, you will find both a main level and upstairs (where the former brewery was). It's dark, there are fun twinkle lights and LED signs. Starcade used to be located within Rosedale Mall so come give a warm welcome to them as they lay roots in Saint Paul! I look forward to returning and trying some games. It has a Can Can Wonderland feel but less complex. I'm very glad the building is getting used as it's a beautiful venue. Enjoy!

In the next year or so The art in here is BEAUTIFUL though I will say that. All the structures in the golf course, old games, everything was so playful. My chaotic self came out, and I just want to jump and buzz around. I had a lot of fun the duration I was there:) it's very memorable, but be prepared for those prices. They have lots of events too, I might check out one of those sooner than doing the whole experience!

All entrants pay an admission fee (kids under 5 years are free), and all video games, kids rides, and older-style games are free to play. Mini golf and some other activities are Ala carte. There is street parking and an underground parking lot, but, on weekends, parking can be tough to find. There is a cafe to purchase food. Options are flatbreads, baskets, tacos, and more. The food quality is pretty good, but pricey. I get it. The place probably has large overhead costs, so a business needs to make its margins. There is also a beverage wall with various kinds of drinks (mostly-all (?) alcoholic), which are self-pour. I forgot to take photos. Trust me when I say the place is very unique and is great to check out. Pros: - Great place to bring kids - The older-style games are very amusing Cons: - Food is on the pricier side

They have a full bar with limited seating, two patio areas (one in the front and one in the back, and an upstairs party deck. They have old 80s wrestling playing on the televisions, which took me back to my childhood. The place is full of retro video games, pinball machines, skeeball, and there are a couple of video game consoles. The place has very nice, attentive bar staff. They serve some 80s-themed signature cocktails, such as the TMN Tea, Mike Tyson's Drunk Out, Macha Man Randy Savage and the People's Margarita, and have a huge assortment of tap beer. I tried both and they were really good. The cocktails are stiff and savory. Be careful when ordering some beer, though; some of them are THC-infused. Drinking those may get you in trouble at certain jobs. I got the Princess Peach Punch and Raspberry Cider tap beer. The place has a mixed crowd, age-wise. There were 21-year-olds to 60-year-olds. It was a pretty low-key spot that has specials every night. They have limited food options that feature pizza. There weren't many people there while I was there, but it was still a really fun place. I enjoyed my time there. I recommend checking this spot out.

The Explore Pass allows "free" entry and limited access to some of the activities--bumper cars, laser tag, ball fort, laser maze, and a 360° video game. We walked in unsure what to do and stood next to two staff at the front desk for a couple minutes before being greeted. We used our explorer pass from Groupon which allowed for a visit do try most of the attractions. A lot of stuff was broken (laser tag maze, laser tag vests, games, blowers in the ball area) or no staff were available to let us know how to use it. What we could use was fun the bumper cars and arcade were favorites for our five year old. We purchased an additional pass for the bumper cars he had to go again. Overall it was okay for the prices, but there are other options around the cities if you're willing to spend a little more.

So I decided to try it out. VR locations are starting to get more and more popular but I have always been so hesitant. Mainly because 1. They look dingy. (Like cold and wet.) 2. Sometimes they look sketchy. 3. Or they look creepy or they charge too much. HOWEVER. this place is not the case. I called to ask about making a reservation. Since like most people you google, and look online at photos and stuff. They were super awesome. Super friendly but most importantly. Patient. As a person who worries and stresses about making things nice. This place made it so easy, and Jacob (the person who helped the 3 times I called and was there to show up the set up and greet us.) Was amazing. Super kind and patient when it came to asking about the location. And really relatable! I really like this place. They have lots of choices for games and I think it's well worth the price. You get a good seating area too. Bottom line: so I am coming back. I dont know about you. But I am coming back. And if that is any consolation, it means you should try it too.

We usually take them to the Victoria Burough were they drop a $50 worth of points into the claw machines and runoff some energy. But they don't open till 4 o'clock and it was noon. So we tried Dave & Buster's and what a surprise! The place evidently is completely remodeled. it's all twinkling new and immaculately clean even the bathrooms. It has a huge gaming area. Along with games along one side wall of the restaurant there are 4 huge television viewing areas you could see anything you wanted to see, and we were able to watch soccer, baseball, tennis and college football. They have a lunch plus game card deal, which is your best value if you're going to eat. So each of the grands had two cards to blow in the gigantic gaming area. Food was very good particularly the double cheese smash burger and the crispy chicken sandwich. Service was friendly and prompt. Granddaughter said, in her oh-so-matter-of-fact-way, I guess we'll be coming back here again. (Only 3 mediocre claw machines though, Dave and Buster could step it up in that category.)

The birria beef was flavorful, but there was a little too much avocado crema for my taste, and the consommé didn't have much flavor, which was disappointing since that's usually one of the best parts of a birria dish. My mother-in-law ordered a rice bowl and said it was huge but had way too much rice compared to everything else. My partner had the Alfredo, and that was probably the favorite at our table. It was creamy, tasted great, and I liked that they used cavatappi pasta instead of the usual fettuccine. We skipped appetizers and dessert this time. Overall, the food was decent but didn't really wow me. I'd give it about 3 out of 5 stars. Wait times were not bad at all and I do love the amount of interaction that is involved with the store with all the games that are also featured here too. My one big gripe about this place is that the games itself are overly expensive and I understand that they give you "bonus credits" for what you spend when you initially get your card. I only put $10 in but I only played a few games since that's all that I could afford. Mainly I just enjoy playing all the pinball games which I was sucker for. It's got a great sports bar atmosphere but expect to possibly spend about $80-$100 if you're coming here with friends . It's a fun time but it's enough to break the wallet a bit
