Took the grands (8 & 10) here after a couple hours at Edinborough Park Adventure Peak down the road. We usually take them to the Victoria Burough were they drop a $50 worth of points into the claw machines and runoff some energy. But they don't open till 4 o'clock and it was noon. So we tried Dave & Buster's and what a surprise! The place evidently is completely remodeled. it's all twinkling new and immaculately clean even the bathrooms. It has a huge gaming area. Along with games along one side wall of the restaurant there are 4 huge television viewing areas you could see anything you wanted to see, and we were able to watch soccer, baseball, tennis and college football. They have a lunch plus game card deal, which is your best value if you're going to eat. So each of the grands had two cards to blow in the gigantic gaming area. Food was very good particularly the double cheese smash burger and the crispy chicken sandwich. Service was friendly and prompt. Granddaughter said, in her oh-so-matter-of-fact-way, I guess we'll be coming back here again. (Only 3 mediocre claw machines though, Dave and Buster could step it up in that category.) read more

If you're an adult going to have a more adult like session, maybe have a few drinks, etc, I wouldn't recommend going later in evening. This is our go to place for birthdays! Adults and kids. Our kids are now 5 and 7 and we've been celebrating here but also our birthdays as well. They always have some good deal for games that we take advantage of. The season passes are nice if we want timed visits. The half off games are also what draws us in. Worth looking into as the kids get older and you want to stray away from chuck e cheese. The food here has always been good too. I like the discount we get when using our passes. The waiters are usually very attentive to us. We got a free birthday dessert for our daughter last time but for some reason they would not give us the free dessert this time we went. The overall vibe is chill here. It's a dark place with lots of lights so can be sensitive for some people but if you are in for a good time this is the place for you! read more

Food was actually fairly decent and the pricing not as exorbitant as I expected and you get to play fun games with all your friends while drinking beers or cocktails(not at the same time I don't think). Overall great experience just the food is not the greatest and the beer list sucks. We came in with family just for a fun night & decided to do dinner. The wait was 45-60 minutes for a table which was understandable as the place was packed. I felt terrible for our server because I didn't see her stop moving the entire time she was there because it was so busy. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food! I hadn't had high expectations and went in thinking it'd be a chicken stripped/pizza vibe. The truffle fries and nachos were delicious and great for sharing, perfect together for a table of 8. The nachos were very light on toppings though. I had a salmon chimichurri rice bowl (pictured). The salmon itself was some of the best I've had in the twin cities, the rest of the bowl was just okay in comparison. I had a terrible experience at this Dave & Buster's location. At closing time, the bartender rudely yelled at us to leave, like literally yelling at us and even got out of the bar and got on my friends face talking about "ill help you so you can leave", even though our server hadn't closed our tab yet. It was incredibly unprofessional and unnecessary. We tried to explain the situation, but instead of resolving it, the manager did absolutely nothing to make it right. No discount, no apology--just a dismissive attitude. This happened yesterday 26/dec If you don't want to feel discriminated against for any reason please save yourself a headache. This was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

We had a friend in town and wanted something to do inside to escape the cold and have some fun - Dave & Buster's was a great place for that! I only stayed for a drink but nibble on my friends food which was pretty good - I'd say high end bar food. Their menu was pretty unique and had some fun, different option which sounded yummy like a Philly cheesesteak dip?! Couldn't beat the drink deals, just over $4 for a IPA and the 100 OZ came out to around $20 I think. We had a semi large group of 7 and the server was up beat, fun, and nice despite being busy! As mentioned, I didn't go to the games but the rest of the group did and they had only good things to say. Absolutely horrible experience. I am so overly disappointed. We went in for my birthday to the restaurant side. First, everyone was eating but they told us the restaurant was closing so we would have to go food. Then they charged us full price for a to go drink no refills even tho we were sitting in. Our food finally came and it was disputing. It was undercooked and inedible. THEN our waiter took our cash and never came back with our change! It was a super gloomy day, so I headed to the mall to get out of the house and hopefully cheer myself up a bit. After doing a couple of laps, I decided to head into Dave and Buster's, as it had been a long time since I'd visited an arcade, and I've always enjoyed them I didn't stop by the restaurant portion so can't speak to it, but the arcade was a fun diversion. Everything (tokens and tickets) is on a card, so it is a bit harder to keep track of what you're spending. You also have less control over reloading--the kiosks don't seem to allow you to add your own amount but require that you add in increments (minimum of $15), which is sort of a bummer if you're only looking to kill a few minutes. There are all kinds of games here (and for all ages). Some are largely random, some have elements of skill involved, there are single-player and multi-player varieties, and they even have some VR games. There are classics like Skee Ball and the coin drop along with newer FPS games and games inspired by popular apps. Put another way, there's probably something for everyone if you're in a group of arcade game fans. (I don't think I saw pinball, though, alas.) It is of course loud in here, and I imagine that it gets crowded during some periods, but on this Sunday afternoon, I had zero wait time for all of the games that I tried. There were guests of all ages and persuasions. There were of course kids with their parents and grandparents, but there were also couples and friends groups in of various ages and a handful of people who had come in on their own. I took a quick cruise through the prize department but didn't get anything today. They have a more limited than usual selection because of the pandemic, but there's still quite a variety (ranging from small items like candy and pencils up to larger items like electronics and kitchen appliances). I'll probably come back to try their happy hour on a day when they've got a deal on gameplay credits. read more

I've not been back to this location in a year since I live in Miami, FL and was visiting my brother's family here in MN during Christmas weekend. I took my niece and nephew, and I noticed a huge change since last year. There are new games and new video arcades. They moved many machines around the place to different locations. Service was nice, but it was very overpriced. Today I took my daughter to this Dave & Buster's. Games were fun and we enjoyed it, great variety of games, but the prizes are a joke. The prizes are a whole different level or expensive. 100+ credits to get just a bit of candy. Fundip wad 150 and most of the games had a jackpot of only 500 or less. It was hard to get the nice things. We got a light up LED ottoman and my daughter was really excited to use it, whilst when we get home it looked like it was from a scam app. The games were fun, but the price wasn't. This place has turned into a money pit, dumpster fire! They have zero customer service, 1/4 of the games, pricing has tripled, the menu is laughable. Here's the real issue. SERVICE IS DEPLORABLE! We called ahead for a birthday gathering and had 3 tables to our disposal. Which logically was great, except the server decided that "they/them" didn't want to service people of color. Started out with the first 6, they came over asked for names and began drinks. THEN WE GOT A MAGIC SHOW.. CAUSE THEY DISAPPEARED AND NEVER , NOT ONCE returned to our table. (Over 40 yr old professionals) we were patient for the first 45 mins. Than no drinks, no food orders. I stepped up for the party to ask for another server, and Alcia the manager took right over. However, we were now 2 hours in, food out and no one came back to check, yet again. Dry salads with no dressing on the side, no dipping sauces for wings, no refills on drinks and 20 open bar tabs and 17 open dining tabs. It took us 4.5 hours from start to finish and we didn't even get our play cards for those who ordered the play & eat. Alicia ONLY AFTER BEING ASKED to take care of the Birthday Girls dinner in which didn't come out for close to 2 hours was completely ruined. I detest this place and everything it stands for. This place is absolutely not family friendly, it's a drunkin frat house for 20 somethings. There is also nothing that indicates this establishment is under construction and the VR is gone, and about 70% of their games. It's not worth the ridiculous prices and unrefined service. What the hell has happened to D&B in the past few years? I came here for both food and games while in the Twin Cities, and while the food itself was OK (it's what I expected), I was very disappointed about the games. How does this place charge $20 for only 100 chips which will only last you about less than 10 minutes? I used to come here years ago where the cost of chips for each game would leave me playing for a while. Now, those chips seem to go by even faster. I left feeling quite ripped off. $30 for 165 chips just isn't going to cut it either, especially when most games charge at least 7-8 credits on average. Not only that, a lot of the games I wanted to play were broken. Staff are still very friendly and enthusiastic - at least that part hasn't changed. But I was quite let down by my past visit, and I'm not sure if I'm going to come back. read more

I would come back just for the candied bacon on the Bloody Mary. This isn't usually my kind of place, but we were at the mall so decided to drop in. It was a little uncomfortable having a drink and navigating around so many children (it was early evening Friday 8ish). I was sure one was going to run into me, I'd spill all over them, and be arrested... I survived though. Lots of fun shooter games, not too many traditional arcade games. Not sure if they all worked since I beat my athletic boyfriend at football, and tied at basketball... I'll take the win though read more

Went to Dave & Buster's for the first time last night with my family. Firstly, no one seated us. We had to look for a table ourselves. And we waited a good 10 mins before someone gave us a menu. Another thing we encountered was that our host did not seem to know about a promotion we want to avail. He said they ended the unlimited wings + unlimited video games a month ago, when we just saw that it was available starting yesterday. He made us feel like we don't know what we were talking about which was annoying. He also acted and replied in a sarcastic manner. I love the idea of food, drinks and arcade games but I think overall this place or Dave & Buster's in general is overpriced. I've came here multiple times for birthdays and just catching up with friends. This time my parter and I came here through a groupon. We had some drinks and food at the restaurant before playing some games. Our server, Brittany, was very friendly and talkative. For drinks, we ordered a blue moon and the strawberry mango margarita- which was sweet and perfect for the spring weather. For food, we ordered the avocado toast, cheese curds and ice cream brownie tower sundae. The avocado toast was super delicious and fresh. The cheese curds was cold and you don't get much especially for it's price. The ice cream brownie sundae was pretty looking but definitely style over substance- the brownie was very hard and after eating half of it, we found a bead in it??? We told our server, who was very friendly and took it professionally- she apologized and took it off our bill. Overall, great service and I definitely understand that things like that happen. Now for the games....save your money lol most games are 3-10 points (average of 6 points) and it order to play you have to buy a game card & points. Many of the games are often out of order or will take money/points from your card but the game wont start. The prizes aren't that great too. read more

A solid 3 star experience here. The service staff, especially at the bar gets five stars. They were very helpful to our larger group and ensured we got happy hour pricing when appropriate. This contrasts to another business I recently patronized that intentionally waited until after lunch hours to serve us. That's for another review, however... Some of the games were inoperational or not working correctly. I'm not going to fight over 25-50¢ worth of credits, so I didn't bother reporting any of the malfunctions. However, it is annoying. I played a coin pusher game where it was supposed to return tokens for further play. Despite pushing many coins over the edge, I only ever got one back. A skeeball game never dropped balls either and some of the basketballs in a hoops game were flat. This part of the experience gets 1.5 stars. The food gets about 3 stars. The smokey honey dijon sauce served with the goldfingers is mildly sweet, but not overtly so. I swear back in the day D&B offered one or two other signature sauces. Food was freshly prepared and a rather large serving was provided in the "Play and Eat" combo. Fun time with friends; wish it was more adult-only. read more

It is worst it for an affordable price worth sharing with friends. Appetizers: Do NOT try those pretzel bread with the marinara sauce... It's just greasy and gross. I would recommend the calamari though. It was not too bad! Entree: I recommend the grilled salmon. It comes with brown rice mixed with red peppers. You also has spinach on the side. I split this dish with my boyfriend and I was satisfied with the portion size. I had enough room for... Drinks! Drinks: I would recommend one of their margaritas or the mojitos. If you don't like the different types of drinks they make, you can always just ask for a normal mojito, etc. Dessert: my friends ordered the smores and shared it with everyone. This had a candle with chocolate on top that was melted in a black bowl. They give you toothpicks and you can dip marshmallows, brownies, cheesecake, Graham crackers and other things into the chocolate. Good for kids. Not great for food or watching the game. Potential is there, but they don't really change the channels for you and have irrelevant games playing. If you want to watch a Twins game, good luck. You want to watch a Vikings game, hope you get to. You can ask and they will tell you they will change it, but doesn't happen. Food is mediocre. Some dishes more acceptable than others. Take your kids there to have fun. Best to enjoy food and sports elsewhere. One exception - UFC; they do put effort in that. read more
