I've been coming here for years because they were the only ones that trimmed my ends correctly. On Thursday March 23,2023 I came in for my regular 3-4 month trim and the lady that usually does my hair wasn't there. I was a month behind schedule so I decided to just get it done instead of putting it off. I' got a wash and blow since I was in a little bit of a rush and would normally sit under the dryer. Let me just be clear. I stopped allowing ppl to do my hair unless it was to get trimmed and my hair has never been healthier. 2 weeks after my wash and blow I'm in my bathroom washing my hair and my hair just starts falling out. YES THATS RIGHT FALLING OUT!! Apparently the lady' that did my blow out didn't know what she was doing and burnt ALL of my ends off. I am too embarrassed and pissed tf off to show pictures They should be real grateful I changed my lifestyle!! read more

Today was my first time and I love this spot! Ana was the one who did my hair and she really hooked it up. I got a deep conditioner, cut and wash & set and it was great. I've gone to other places that end up burning my hair (it's curly but fine so lots of people leave the blow dryer on my hair for too long) but that didn't happen her. Ive gone to this salon on and off over the years due to convenience. The reviews about them talking about customers and complaining about their hair types in spanish are true. The price changes depending upon the day and how the owner is feeling. I only like the way Audrey/Aubrey blows hair out. I walked in for a simple wash and set. I didn't even want them blow drying my hair. I witnessed way too many folks getting their hair fried. When the lady who was designated to wash my hair started shampooing, my scalp was burning. Like on fire! I immediately expressed to the washer that my scalp was burning. And she answered, "no mami is you." I legit got up and ran to the bathroom to dip my head in the sink under cold water. My scalp was extremely red and irritated. Within a matter of minutes my texture was different too. I pinned my hair up and left. It took a few days for the burning sensation to go away. However, now I have to slowly cut the damage off from the shampoo from hell. I will be reporting them to the office of professions. Please clean your salon, stop talking about your clients in Spanish, learn how to work with all textures (it 2022), and stop mixing cheap products. read more

I've been attending this Salon for years. Their prices were reasonably. I went in as usual for a basic wash and set and was shocked when a woman who I'd never seen before informed me of New Management with New Prices. The starting price for a wash and set was $55.00!!! Now I am not a cheap person especially with regard to self maintenance, however the jump in price from 40.00 with a deep conditioner was a bit excessive. I've been coming to this place for over 5 years. I always paid between $25(weekdays)-$30 (weekends) for simply a trim and style. Today i step in, and the racist owner tells me that the prices have been increased because of new management. And I ask her, okay how much is a trim and style ? And she replied " it depends on your hair length ". I finish getting my hair done, and she tells me the price is $45. I was shocked, i said to her " i always pay 25-30$. She says to me " that was a long time ago , and you have natural hair, and you sat under a hooded dryer etc ". And i said to her, you'll lose a lot of customers, and she brushed it off. Very racist salon! If you are black STAY AWAY AND GO SUPPORT A BLACK BUSINESS!!! They discriminate against people of color! They charge people of color more money because of the texture of hair! I came there with a short cut and they said they couldn't wash my hair due to it being very short. HUHHHH? How does that make sense? I wash my hair all the time! Honestly this is my first Dominican style blowout and I am very happy with the results I wasn't expecting it to be so nice the way the ladies did it. The customer service was amazing even though it's a little busy on Saturdays but they were still attentive I didn't feel like they were trying to rush me either I will definitely be coming back to this place. Perfect blow out for the perfect price. They are pretty good versatile with hair. Before I went natural I use to relax my hair and they did an amazing job. When I went natural they were able to still accommodate my hair texture. I have a 4c texture so my hair isn't the easiest to tame. They offer advice when they notice things such as breakage, dryness and etc. I don't find it expensive depending what your needs are. It does tend to get crowded there and it's always busy. If your not patient this may not be the place for you unless you come as soon as they open or when it's close to closing. The staff are all great. I have been coming here for 15 years... Today I been discriminated against a new Spanish woman I never seen before. I came in with my fiancé for a wash and blow. It's Wednesday before she says in Spanish "she doesn't wanna do it and charge more" she tells me it's gonna be $30 per head on a $10 day. Money is never an issue but then you talk shit in Spanish and never greet when you come in and make the place feel disgusting.Esa and Jackie are sweethearts and nothing against them. Walked in for the 1st time and was immediately disappointed at their attitude. They are extremely understaffed, they had 3 people at the salon and gave us an attitude when my wife asked to be attended to. Instead of being happy that a customer walked in for the 1st time they were upset because they were ready to go home. A blonde lady working on a blow dry spoke discriminatory about me in Spanish because she thought I couldn't understand her! its disgusting how people treat you when they don't need your business or are done working for the day. I had a truly remarkable experience here today. Now I'm 100% natural and was very pleased to see many other women (clients) who were the same. Although the place was pretty crowded on a Tuesday afternoon, I was still seen 3 minutes after walking in. I got a wash n set and Lisa was the hairstylist who took care of me. I asked her to blow dry on low heat since my hair is prone to heat damage, and she accomplished it in a kind manner. I strongly recommend this location and plan on going back very soon. I have gotten a wash and set here multiple times and never been disappointed. It's very relaxing to get a wash and then just sit under a dryer with rollers but don't be afraid to tell one of the ladies if it's getting too hot. I have shown photos of a hairstyle I wanted and been very pleased with the results. There is no fixed price menu which might turn some people off but they are very reasonable and go by the length of your hair. I have thick long hair that reaches the middle of my back and I have been charged $30. Trimming split ends or styling usually is $5 added on to a wash and set. It helps to speak Spanish to more clearly explain a hairstyle you want. Dominican women know what they are doing with hair! The place can get very busy and then you have to wait in line so I recommend going Mon-Wed at a non peak time. read more

They do a good job on a wash and set for the most part. It's nothing special from any other Dominican salon though, they all got the wash and sets down. Blow drying. I mean it's nothing that requires much skill or technique. I don't ever see them doing anything special just wash and sets. What's disturbing to me is the amount of shit they talk about African Americans and their hair. Same time smiling in their faces like they're not saying they have horrible hard hair. I speak and read fluent Spanish and I'm very bothered by what I'm hearing them say about some of these people who have no idea. Turning around and tipping them when truly they would rather not do their hair. It's a shame for real so I had to at least post this so ladies are aware. Bcuz these girls have no clue what's being said about them. I have natural 4c hair and came here for a blowdry and trim. The staff was overall friendly and I was seen quickly. I brought my own products from home and they did a good job. They do use a ton of heat so I would recommend bringing a heat protectant for your hair if you're paranoid about heat damage. Would come here again. read more

It helps that I live down the street :) The ladies are always fast and skillful in rolling and blowing out my hair. I love coming here. The ladies are very talented. I have been coming here for 10+ and I've never had an issue.They know me by first name basis and greet me every time I come in. It makes me feel great, the service is very affordable. Mon- Wednesday they have a sale, and although it's more crowded then usual the longest I've been in the salon kid you not has been approximately 2 hrs and a half. They normally have a hair washer, a lady that does the rollers, Jackie (owner) relaxes hair, and dyes hair, and about 3-4 ladies who blow dry hair as you get out the dryer. The system works.You leave the salon feeling awesome.They are experience, and professional. Even though some of the ladies don't know perfect English, or English at all they try their best to communicate with you in a professional manner. Hope this review was helpful.
