It's big and well-established - They seem equipped to do a huge range of things for women, above and beyond the other places. They also were much cleaner, spiffier, and were twice the size of any other place I passed by. The salon's also been used for women on some of the makeover TV shows. 2. Great, helpful staff - Really friendly, and I liked them a lot. They gave me a lot of pointers about the area, which I really appreciated. 3. Fluent English speakers - I know it's the Bronx, but three places I'd visited nearby struggled to answer me when asking "can you give me a haircut?". Seemed like decent salons, but made me worried about how I'd further convey the "no buzz cut" concept :) 4. Surprisingly good price - $15 for a haircut. 5. Good haircut - My wife approved and liked it. They didn't scalp me or get scissor-happy or anything, I thought it was a good haircut too. I'd recommend this place to women to try out - seems like the best salon place within three miles of here. I'd recommend it to men too.

So anyways she gave me the best hair cut ever. I told her I wanted change and change she gave me. Chopped it all off! But it complemented my face so much. She told me what products to buy and showed me how to curl my hair with the flat iron. Told me what not to do so my hair won't get damage again. When I say everyone loved my hair, strangers stopped me to ask where I got my hair. Why The Look I responded. I'm glad I found her thru yelp. Linda is definitely a keeper. The salon was busy and a bit noisy but welcoming and my wait time was only about 5 minutes. I would not say this is a place to go for gentle pampering, but the prices are very reasonable and the Spanish speaking stylists seem skilled and efficient. The hair of the women being served there appeared full and shiny. I had a shampoo, roller set, bangs cut, and a blowout. Three days later, my hair still looks great. I recommend this salon and will definitely go back.

I heard about both of them from my current hair stylist who said Roxan is the best for updo and anyone she hires for makeup is great. She did not lie. I paid my deposits for both of them and showed up at 11am sharp for my appt. I got my hair washed and i was out in the dryer with rollers while i waited for roxan. When my hair was dried, i got my makeup done and Roxan styled another client. After my makeup was done she styled my hair. She was honest about what would work and not work for my hair as my hair is very long but fine. And she added hair and things to make it look fuller. I left feeling beautiful and my son even called me a princess! It's now Sunday night and my hair is still intact, i don't want to undo it because i love it and have been sleeping with a bonnet and it looks exactly the same ! The makeup didn't budge at all until i washed it off. I will def be back for all future events. I loved the work and how convenient it was to get my hair and makeup done at the same location!

Now it's in the best health it's ever been since my childhood years. I've been wanting to do a blowout for some time but have been apprehensive of trusting my healthy hair with anyone else in fear of them damaging it with heat. Heat damage is irreversible and ruins your natural curl pattern so all my hardwork could've easily been undone. Before having my hair blown out, I spoke with the owners and stylist at the salon about my concerns. They were very understanding and assured me that there wouldn't be any heat damage to my hair and are very knowledgeable working with natural coarse hair. They didn't try to convince me to put a relaxer in it and even stated that the texture doesn't determine if it's good or bad when the hair is healthy. That right there let me know that I was in good hands. And I was! My hair is very thick so it requires a lot of patience to work through. From the shampoo to conditioning, I was in heaven with having my scalp massaged without all the heavy handed pulling and tugging. Even the blow out was skillfully done without my scalp and ears being burned or small clouds of smoke rising up from the hair. This was what I was used to from before which had caused the heat damage to my already then chemically processed hair. They offer you beverages and the black/white ambience is very trendy, comfortable and welcoming. The owners who are a husband and wife team were very nice, accommodating and confident in the quality of their services. They have been in the hair game for many years and I have to say that I wish I knew about them sooner. I was so excited about the results! My hair still looked and felt healthy after the blow out. I couldn't keep my fingers out of my hair because it was still very soft. As for their rates, it didn't break the bank as their prices are very affordable and I am looking forward to pampering myself again at my new favorite salon. My hair was bludgeoned this past year with all of the processes I did to maintain blond, and when I thought to chop it off with a pixie cut, I messaged Jenny right away to schedule an appointment. She's available via phone and their online system, though I do recommend making an appointment. I've seen 1-star reviews here for scheduling issues, but I don't see how someone can review a business without actually having received a service. I love a good walk-in appointment, but I understand that adulting includes making appointments in advance to ensure I can be seen. Totally enjoy how comfortable, Jenny and Freddy made me feel during the deep condition and recon. I sipped on a cup of tea while I did the Moroccan oil treatment and Jenny and I reviewed photos of the pixie I was going for. She talked me through what she was doing and the final results are so perfect! It works either straight or curly, which is super versatile. Jen also told me about products to use to maintain it. Overall, amazing service for a really affordable price. She also does microblading and laser hair removal, which I haven't tried yet, but I'll update when I do. Upon first walking in, I was warmly greeted by some edgy stylists. The layout is dope, with chairs positioned in unique spots on the floor. The male stylist asked Alexa to play some freestyle music, and that quietly complimented the sound of the the electric clippers as a woman received her cute short cut. The salon was very clean and stylish, combining reds, whites, and blacks with metal chainlink curtains. It's an intimate space, and I like what they did with the floor plan! My only caveat is that it may be difficult for clumsy people to navigate from section to section. I went in to treat my decrepit ends because bleaching and toning have not been good for me. I picked up a Groupon voucher for a deep conditioning, cut, and blowout. The shampoo was very gentle, and my stylist, Jay, spoke with me about using a purple shampoo and other hair maintenance trips. He told me about glazes which are about $25 and can add some color love to my locks. The deep conditioning was comfortable, and my curls felt super hydrated afterwards! For the cut, I showed images of a long, asymmetrical bob to the other stylist, Jen, and let her work her magic. I loved the finished result, and will definitely be going back to have them do a rose gold color for the fall! Jay and Jen are so personable and I appreciate their time and expertise!
