The building is brand new, the landscaping is beautiful, and the weather is near perfect, with the waft of fresh ocean air always present :) As a RN with years of experience working directly with Seniors and consulting in the Assisted Living environment, I HIGHLY recommend Regency Palms to care for your loved one!

The clothes you take you will see on other clients. Your stuff goes missing. If you aren't in memory care they treat you better. That's where the comments are for not memory. They kick you out without notice. We don't want you back. I don't know a place like this that you've been in over a year and they don't even give you a notice. They just said you need to be moved out. I believe the other comments where they said they'll dswhatever they'll tell you whatever you want hear to get you in it's a whole different ball game once you're in this place. Like the other comment about memory court care I agree do not place your loved ones in the memory care facility at this place so those pictures that you see are deceiving with those clients they have make up and well dressed and eating restaurant food per se that are the clients that don't need that much Care.

Hypothetically, about 30 years into this California Dream his second wife began having memory lapses. Nobody could tell him anything about her condition. He stood on the east bank of the largest river in the world De-nial. Her boat got nearer and nearer the west bank. She began seeing her deceased Mom, Dad and brother or asking where they went. Instead of compassion, mercy, and going along she got long lectures and rational proofs on the nature of her reality. They had been dead 20 years. DONE! When she said day sfter day she wanted to go home she got long lectures and rational proofs on the nature of her reality. She WAS home. When she packed a shoebox with a toothbrush and other items and was found by a neighbor wandering on the boulevard a mile from home, no bells rang for her husband in this jypothetical case. Not in all the times she wandered or was found hiding under a neighbor's truck. Hypothetically, step-children visited, were taken to a room where generations of photos were arrayed on a table, "I'm trying to identify these before my memory's completely gone." Few recollections were left. A few photos got a few words on the back. The children promised a nice place to live in a favorite town. A hypothetical time arrived when the couple could no longer manage a home. Husband was home-cared for 7 months. His wife needed care elsewhere. A family elder care pro in a favorite town recommended Aegis. Hypothetically stepmom moved in, was evaluated and integrated into Aegis programs. She assisted with food-related tasks, was offering mentoring tips to Aides and others. She bloomed. The hypothetical family was hypothetically pleased with this reversal. The hypothetical stepmother was reunited with her hypothetical spouse in a super nice facility with standard memory care. Not the same as Aegis.

In that 3 months he had a total of SIX 911 calls landing him in the hospital. We couldn't figure out what was going on at the time but we now know he wasn't being given his doctor ordered life saving medications properly or at all. Medications were stopped without doctors orders nor the family being notified. This ultimately led to him going through withdrawal symptoms over and over again and him suffering the last 2 months of his life.He had a major stroke in June of 2023 leading to him passing away 3 days later. He was supposed to be on 2 different medications to prevent a stroke from occurring. It was listed on his Lexington med list but not being given. We were paying for him to have his medications given to him and that wasn't happening. When talking to the LVN in charge he told me that he has found other residents with medication errors in their charts as well. I asked him who was responsible for my dads death and he smiled and said " the Lexington and probably me". The Lexington was horrible with communication and answering calls, the staff is rude to the families and the residents, they did not answer his pendent presses in a timely manner( sometimes it was 90 minutes before his call was answered) the billing department messed up on his charges which took months to figure out and get the money returned. I did request that they return all funds from my dads stay there because they didn't do anything they said they were going to do. They agreed but in return I couldn't leave a review and I was going to have to sign a nondisclosure agreement where I couldn't discuss what happened to my dad at the lexington. I wasn't willing to do that because what happened was not ok and it could have been prevented. I had a meeting with the new management and I was hoping things would change and this would never happen to another family. I don't think things are changing because they are still getting citations from the state. Please check this web site for yourself to see all the fines the state has given them. If I could go back in time I would have never moved my dad into this place!! He was only 71 and had so much life to live. Not to mention that when the state went in to do an investigation on my dad's complaint the Lexington had deleted all of my dad's medical records. This was only 3 months after he passed away. Which they legally have to keep for 3 years! Good thing I had copies of everything and gladly handed them over to the state. https://www.ccld.dss.ca.gov/carefacilitysearch/FacDetail/565850111
