We live a bit "out of the way" in the Sierra Foothills and had a rather large move coming up. Our 2300 sq/ft 4+2 house needed to be moved about 20 miles over curvy roads to our new home. I explored a few moving companies (Grace Moving included) and they were by FAR the best team available. Sally came out to do an on-site inspection and gave me a quote that ended up being exact. A few other companies wanted to provide me with a phone-only quote which made me nervous and the other companies also assured me that one truck and two guys would get the job done. Not so much... On the day of the move, TWO trucks arrived with a very professional 5 man crew. They took the time to carefully wrap our belongings that weren't already packed and did an expert job of getting everything into each truck. At every step of the way I felt completely comfortable with the way all of my furniture and boxes were being handled. They even brought wardrobe boxes, extra boxes, packing tape, tools - all the stuff you would hope and expect a moving group to bring. After a drive to the new house, everything was expertly unpacked. All of our furniture was re-assembled (thank goodness for a good bed that night!) and we were left with boxes to unpack for a few days :) I've moved four times now, all with different moving companies (and once on my own) and I can tell you that Grace Moving company truly cares and does a great job. read more

I had Grace Movers come in and move my things from a 1 bed 1 bath. There were a total of 3 guys, one older man and 2 younger guys. They were early. However, and I would not expect this from the older man, he had no manners. He asked me once to use the bathroom and that was fine up until he went a second time without closing the door and once again at my new place without asking. Also I explained that my furniture was not scratched before moving, older man stated "No, it must of been like that before". I did not appreciate the lack of manners and doing the job with care. Two younger individuals were careful with very few bumps and tears. I appreciated their work. Overall, Grace Moving did an okay job. They packed BQ metal pole with pictures and broke those missing lamps received lamp shades not the lamps. Upon delivery from the Grace Moving and Storage to the home in the Poconos the Movers had an issue with the truck so they got a smaller truck, they opted to just not deliver the remainder of our items. We didn't receive 2 complete sets of fine Christmas china, we received legs to tables but not the tables, we got lamp shades no lamps, missing pieces to a clock we never received the bill of lading so we couldn't do a timely claim for the broken and missing house hold goods, these drivers knew what they were doing to hurry thru the delivery. We had the best experience with the movers and company that we have ever had with a move. The start was great with Lura she was very helpful and very pleasant. The day of the move I received a call letting me know they were on the way. Calib and Karnilois (sp) were super efficiant and took extra good care of our belongings. This was our first time using a moving service and let me tell you it was the best thing/decision we could've made. Grace moving company was so professional, punctual, and super attentive to detail when it came to making sure that our furniture arrived in one piece without a scratch. All of our furniture was wrapped carefully and loaded onto the truck. we had a two-man crew for a two bedroom apartment with a small living area. We had the moving service scheduled for four hours, and with it being our first time I was very anxious about not having enough time as we did have quite a bit of things. Needless to say they were extremely fast and finished within 2 1/2 hours loading and unloading. if you are hesitant about hiring a moving service, don't be, I would recommend Grace moving company a 1000 times as they have made this move the easiest move we've ever had. I decided to hire Grace movers after a not so great experience with a different mover and my experience with them was excellent, from start to finish. (Not sure what that other guy's problem was, but there seem to be two different Yelp pages for Grace movers, so look for the other one and you will see all the good reviews.) My move was from Fresno to the Bay Area and included several valuable pieces of furniture that were very special to me, including a very intricate life sized carved wood statue which I hadn't had time to crate (see pic). My first point of contact at Grace was the estimator John, who was very reassuring.  I called several times before the move with questions and the office staff always reached out to John, who called me right back to alleviate my concerns. On moving day, the three guys who came to handle the move, Daniel, the driver and Alex and Fernando, the two helpers were great. They were friendly, efficient and handled all of my pieces with great care. (They even moved a heavy adjustable bed down a tricky flight of stairs and made it look easy, never touching the hardwood floor.) When it came time to move the statue, Daniel reinforced all of the delicate parts with packing paper, then actually created a kind of shell out of cardboard boxes before wrapping the whole piece in mover's blankets and plastic. They carried it very carefully and strapped it to the inside of the truck with nothing else around that might impact it. Really the care that these guys took to keep it safe just blew me away! Moving can be so stressful, but these guys made it so much easier. Everything made it to The Bay Area perfectly including the delicate Statue, not a scratch!  If you are planning a move, you can ask for these guys by name, they are a great crew.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I ever needed to. read more

Grace Moving was wonderful to work with! From the very beginning when we met with our estimator John, we knew we were dealing with total professionals. He knew his business and it was obvious! John provided suggestions to save on cost and that was a huge help. All communications were clear and prompt, they gave good price quote, and showed up exactly when they said they would, and the packing was done very efficiently and with great care. So the response from the business owner is a joke. Just like the company. First: they worked "closely" with us??? my name isn't even Ron. Second: the tracker which was on the truck help law enforcement locate THE MOSTLY EMPTY truck later on that morning. The only reason we were able to locate any of our belongings was because an older gentleman located one of our boxes on the side of the road which had my name and number on it and he called me and told me where he found it. My wife and I then went to that area and scoured it and followed the bread crumbs to the transient camp where some of our property was found stuffed in a trailer. We called some friends and brought what we found home. Third: a suspect was never arrested. Fourth: The owners never reached out to apologize, I had to call them. In fact, they never reached out to me at all, I had to contact them every time, even to set up the one face to face meeting, where, yes, they apologized and said they wanted to help take away some of the burden on us. We never heard from them again. Fifth: I never put a value per box, we valued our property as a whole and to the best of my knowledge there was never a box count or inventory when they loaded up the original truck, we had to go off memory and pictures. Sixth: I was never "offered" anything from Grace Moving or their insurance company. They stated they had insurance, yet requested we use our homeowners. Everything went through OUR homeowners insurance. I can't believe the dishonesty in the reply to this review. Despicable. read more

Not one word as to how they can correct the damage their 3 guys did. Not a phone call, not a letter of apology, not one word back from them. The owners, Sally and Patrick should be ashamed of themselves the way they treat seniors. With all the damage these guys did to my belongs comes to $3245.67. The employees of Grace moving from the office staff , to the estimator and all six movers were professional, efficient, friendly and very helpful. They worked quickly also. It was worth every dime to spend this money. The quote they give you may seem too expensive but they will have you only pay for the hours you use. So if you are very efficient you have all your things packed and stacked in the garage and ready to go they can move faster.
