I don't even know where to begin with this horrible nightmare that calls himself a company... Here is my nightmare in my review... I'm trying to put into words all the crap this jerk caused. It's mind blowing on how terribly horrible my moving day went and is still dats following getting worse and worse as I find more stuff that was damaged. I was told they would need to do a second load for very few items that they left on the first load I specifically asked John how much that would be in addition to what I had already agreed to pay them for the first load at that time he told me there's no way that the second load would take more than an hour and with half an hour drive time he quoted me $210 for the second load I was very hesitant because I was already paying $380 for the first.. Jon reassured me no way I would go over $210 and he would find me after the first load was all the way empty off the truck and we could figure out where we were time/money wise then before moving forward about the second load. He even offered to take a 3rd mover with them in the U-Haul truck so they could be sure only one more hour. When I heard they went for the "little" Second load I was a little taken back for I never said it was OK but just figured they were already doing it, not to mention he left his son at my house while they went to get the 2nd load. they returned the truck was not even halfway full & we asked if that was everything out of the old house. We were told yes nothing was left in the house, except a outside umbrella. I was upstairs putting a bedframe together (they stopped half way thru) they removed the less then half full truck and then it was time to sign for the paperwork and hand them my check. My dad had agreed to pay the extra trip/hour when I realized they had left for a 2nd load without talking to me first. I signed the paper & paid $380 and thought everything was all good. WELL it wasn't they ripped my sectional, dug paint off my stair case and banister, they left 20 boxes/totes in the Garage that are clearly marked what room and where they go, I had kitchen totes in my children's room , my bed frame for my master bedroom was in the living room floor under the coffee table, they left my $3800 mattress slumped over my dresser. All of my bedding, pillows and my clothes , My sons Xbox games were all left in the garage or on the back patio for some reason, my dresser was left on it's side wrapped in tape, broke my deceased grandfathers rocking chair, the list of nightmare heartbreaking things go on and on.... John also charged my dad $400! And me 380! Again We never agreed to a second load ! Not to mention when they left for the 2nd load they left their son here for me to watch!!! Well as if that's not bad enough when it became bedtime we couldn't find my sons special blanket anywhere so we drove back to that other house (30mins) and walked in and complete utter disbelief. There were tote/boxes everywhere broken picture frames, they left a 47 inch TV leaned against the wall, there was kitchen stuff, a desk , things that they left and lied about I don't even know if there is more missing at this point.... they smoked and stomped their cigarette butts on my grass & drive way. Which I was willing to see past some of this but as more and more came I got infuriated and hurt that someone would take advantage of me this way. I am a single mother of two and saved every penny I had to make this move. They stole my trust but my $ & damaged my stuff that I can afford to replace. I reached out to John and expressed some of my concerns about the broken stuff and what he charge my dad so much & the fact that I never gave permission to go for the second load he responded with some very snappy & rude BS lies and excuses and when I was sending him pictures of the evidence I have to prove everything that I am saying he blocked me. I tried to give him the chance to fix this nightmare someway but he didn't give a care at all. If you value your belongings don't hire this company for your move I repeat do NOT! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I will go all the way I can to make sure that nobody ever gets devastated the way I am after this nightmare moving company ruined everything!!! **update: John the "owner" of this awful company wants to email the last 3 days & he still takes NO ownership in the horrible job they did, the overcharging, the job NOT being complete, the broken or damaged belongings, the missing paint, new scratches, the lies he told and breaking my deceased grandfathers rocking chair!!! he is placing blame on me! I told his 2man crew where to put things, yes I'm sure I did step away a few times from helping movers I paid to move me but I know w/o a doubt boxes were all labeled on top & sides all they had to do was care enough to look instead of trying to speed through and leave stuff half done, scratched up, broken or ruined, DONT hire this company you'll regret it read more

Horrible company. Very unprofessional and SEVERELY damaged brand new vinyl flooring (pictures included). Called them to tell them they damaged the floor and denied any responsibility, ignored all phone calls. 9 panels have been scratched or gouged. Then we took the U-Haul trailer over to a storage unit and got an old couch and brought it back to the home. I asked to adjust some of the furniture that John brought in and he and his son Ethan were all too glad to help out! They did a great job. We found them on Yelp, and they were on site at our project in less than an hour. They have more than 20 years in the moving business and did a great job. The most horrible moving experience. Experience from last year: 4 people came (3 teenagers and one adult), and only one person working. They charged $260, basically only unloaded everything. John is a nice guy but as far as moving companies go, you get what you pay for. It was the lowest quote among five businesses I've inquired. Got a deal if I pay in cash and rent my own 26 ft U-Haul. At least, I thought was a deal at the time. Long story short, moving from Modesto to LA, many of my antique furniture pieces were broken even though I emphasized they needed special care all due to negligence of unprofessional moving crew and their carelessness. Not only were my furniture pieces completely broken but I had to rent another U-haul and drive it down myself (after the move) to take the rest of my things. Initially I was told everything would fit in the 26ft truck and they would make it work! The crew John used were definitely not professionals and John didn't supervise or get involved in the whole process. He was a "hands-off" boss who mostly played with his phone rather than dictating his crew and checking on their work. They also did not reassemble everything they disassembled for the move and I still have shelves that need to be put together! I have pictures of all the broken furniture as proof and pieces that still need reassembling. In the end, I spent just as much as if I hired other movers I got quotes from...who were professional movers. So I didn't save any money, just lost/wasted a lot of time, energy, and antique furniture!!!!! John is lucky that I'm too busy to pursue any type of compensation. I take it as a lesson learned. DON't HIRE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT ALL OF YOUR THINGS BACK IN ONE PIECE OR IF YOU WANT THE JOB DONE CORRECTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY!!! read more

I had another mover no show on the day I had to be moved out. John and his crew showed up within an hour as promised, got started right away and I was returning my uhaul 90 minutes after they got there. They were fast and efficient but we also really careful with my furniture and even offered to move the dryer we haven't installed yet for me. Pretty great overall experience. Got straight to work as soon as they showed up. They were careful, fast and efficient. We moved a 10x10 storage unit, 3 bedroom home in a matter of a few hours. (Mind you we had everything boxed up and ready to go) pre-sorted and ready for them to come. They did great. Fit everything in a 26' truck we rented. They were kind and helpful, they had a plan and time wasn't wasted. Which really does matter in instances like this. I was very impressed with the organization of the team and diligence in getting things done. They were prepared and were just as friendly when they left. These guys work hard and fast. This was a pretty horrifying experience, particularly since the reviews here were great and things started off well. John was exceedingly polite and pleasant on the phone during our initial conversation and in subsequent texts confirming the Uhaul reservation (which we had to make - he has no truck) the day before. On the actual day, everything was off and got increasingly worse as the night wore on: 1) John had promised that including himself, there would be four men working for three hours, at a rate of $340 for the first three hours and $125 for each subsequent hour. John only showed up with two additional men. They spent a superfluous amount of time wrapping things in shrinkwrap that we said we didn't want wrapped, and trying to grab smaller items into the truck when we clearly said we didn't want help with anything but the bulky stuff. This seemed intentional, so as to drag out the time. Later, when he tried to say he would do my a solid by not charging us extra for starting "thirty minutes late," I had to bite my tongue. (This made no sense - we had agreed to start at the Uhaul site and since he's done this before, he should have known that it would take time to check in, process my husband's ID, get keys, etc.) 2) John kept insisting to my husband that he wanted to drive the truck, even though my husband was the one who had to reserve it in his name. My husband had to be firm with him and explain that that was a liability. When the truck arrived at our new home, John jumped into the drivers seat after my husband exited and re-parked it, backing two tire holes into our lawn. (Even his assistants were ragging on him for this move. I felt sorry for both of them the whole time - they kept squabbling in front of us because John wasn't moving very much.) 3) John showed up with a NASTY cough - you could hear the phlegm rattling in his chest, no joke - and proceeded to cough on EVERY INCH of both our old and new homes. He coughed on the furniture, on my freshly scrubbed island countertop, on my cell phone when I pulled it out, etc. I felt bad that he was sick but would have appreciated that he cover his mouth at the very least! I'm hoping because he was sick, this was the reason he appeared kind of out of it. He also showed up with a ton of clear tape wrapped around his thumb and asked my husband for more so he could rewrap it. He had injured it somehow and kept messing with the tape while eating a piece of pizza he'd brought with him, and was smearing sauce around. Suffice to say, this was pretty gross to witness. 4)John sat in the UHaul on our couch, laughing and playing on his phone for twenty minutes while his men moved as fast as they could. He held up the process so much that my husband and brothers stopped moving everything else and started moving the heavy stuff John was paid to love themselves. This was really frustrating. His assistants were struggling to carry one large item upstairs alone and my husband jumped in as John continued to sit in the truck, coughing and ignoring everyone. Later, he walked in and shouted "This house is HELLA nice!" He also told my husband that he recently helped a neighbor move. Unfortunately for John, we had met said neighbor earlier in the week when we first got the keys to the house, and they informed us they have lived here 12 years. Unprofessional and concerning to say the least. 5) When it came time to pay, John tacked on $50 to my bill, because "I'm ignoring that we started half an hour late" (see above) and adding "that ain't me to not be fair to you." He explained that because we went over 15 minutes, he felt $390 was fair. John made me nervous, so I actually rounded it up to $400 to be nice, even though the entire night was a joke. When I ripped out the check, he held it up and said "What the heII is this sh*t? The bank won't cash this if it's jagged." The check wasn't jagged, just not perfectly evenly ripped out. I opened my wallet to redo it, because he was insisting, and that's when John pulled out his cell phone and started to zoom his camera at my license in my wallet. I told him to stop and he freaked out, saying he only needed it because other people had "screwed" him over for "$3000 jobs" in the past and without a DL number, he wouldn't be able to fight it. I told him absolutely not, as I had no way of knowing if my info would stay safe in his phone, and that he obviously has my number and address if there's an issue. This made me very nervous, and I hope to warn anyone else working with him that he never talks about wanting to do this, and was going to snap my photo without my consent. Just writing this review feels like a risk, but I want to have it out there in case someone else gets mislead by the positive reviews. John was actually showing me his Yelp reviews during the move (instead of actually moving furniture) and I do worry about recourse or retaliation. However, his lack of professionalism and honesty have earned him this review. read more
