Overall, had an ok experience with Grace Moving Company. I made a 300+ mile move and it went smoothly for the most part, but there are some notable things that bring this down to a 3 star rating. From the start, they are great at answering any questions, whether its Carissa who answers the phone, or their estimator John who did the walkthrough of my home and gave me the estimate. I opted for the full package where they not only just disassemble/assemble and load/unload, but also pack most of the house. The staff who came out the day before the move to get a head start on packing for the next day were awesome! So nice and clearly very caring of your belongings. After reading the negative reviews from people, the staff that handles your move can essentially make or break it. In my case, one of the guys named David was just absolutely AMAZING. Dude went above and beyond, and whatever he is being paid is surely not enough; dude needs a raise! The day of the move, David and a few folks come back out to start loading everything into the truck. It went well, but a few things caught my attention that I didn't like: 1. They needed to use my tools...because they didn't bring any. What? How do you go to a moving job where you are clearly disassembling items and NOT bring your tools?! It's not the worst thing, but it's definitely not professional. 2. Some staff are more competent than others. This could be due to new hires or whatnot, but a lot of my belongings were not labeled at all! Eventually as we unpack we can find everything, but consistency in labeling would've been nice. Some staff know what they're doing, while others aren't. 3. Be aware that they do NOT claim liability for any damages related to particle boards (basically, all Ikea furniture). I understand why this is the case (it's cheap "wood" that breaks and dents easily), but I was randomly told this DURING my move. I would've been appreciated if I knew this prior. 4. Some things were not as protected as they should've been. When I pointed out, "Why isn't this wrapped?" I was told because they ran out of blankets. Ok...then go get some more??? You're really gonna risk damaging my belongings because you didn't come prepared and are too lazy to go back to your office to get more??? We get to the destination and, for the most part, no damage (especially for the sensitive big furniture pieces I was worried about, so they did a great job with that). I say for the most part because, as you would've guessed, some of the particle board furniture I have got scuffed. My fridge got a small dent while they were attempting to move a couch around it. And lastly, my gaming PC got so badly dented from the back where the power supply unit is, that it no longer works! I get that things happen during the move but was really saddened about the PC. I will be putting in a claim with them regarding the PC and fridge and hopefully they reimburse me appropriately. The saving grace for the move was really David. In comparison to the rest of the staff, he clearly cared the most and was especially careful with everything. Was very polite, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to do things that he didn't need to do! Additionally, the owner (Sally) personally called me to see if everything is going good. There was a payment issue because they wanted a cashiers check, but the bank was closed. Gave Sally a quick call and she was really accommodating and willing to work with a personal check instead. Overall, an ok move. Some good parts, some great parts, and some bad parts. At the end of the day, moves (especially long distance moves) will have hiccups. Besides the fridge and PC, I'm pleased with the service provided. read more

This company is great! From Carrissa in the office who worked with me to set up the move and had answers to all my questions to the wonderful team of four scheduled to complete my move. The lead was Caleb and the rest of the team was Casey, Sean and Henry. They showed up on time and they were very pleasant. They worked efficiently, very hard and got the move completed sooner than I expected. I even had a baby grand piano which needed moving. The disassembly and reassembly went well. Highly recommend. The 4 guys were on time, moved quickly, had great attitudes, were extremely patient, and honestly felt like friends. I wish I could remember all their names... Turk felt like an angel sent to help me through a hard time, and there was Casey and Rueben (?) and 1 more kind gentleman. Truly stand up, respectful, professional men. Qualified, qualified, qualified! We were not able to complete our move so everything was stored in the garage. Nothing was organized. I explained to Grace Moving the circumstances, and that we needed someone qualified to organize the mess first. The two moving professionals arrived on time. I used Grace Moving Company to help me move Sept 1, 2022. I was in a very small two bedroom apt and onLt needed help with larger items I moved all the misc stuff and boxes myself. I moved 3 miles from my apt and it took the two movers almost 8 full hours. it is now late Oct and I am still waiting for them to complete repairs on the home I moved into after the movers dated my furniture and the walls. The movers came on time and kept me informed during travel from one home to the next which helped a lot as I could get things accomplished in between. We moved 879 miles. From the very start, beginning with the estimate for the move was spot on. On the day of loading the truck they showed up and each of them introduced themselves by name and shook our hand. It took us awhile to decide how we wanted to insure our stuff but in the end, it did not really matter as there was only one thing damaged and it was minor. We had most everything staged in our garage, they wrapped it with protective blankets and then wrapped them in plastic wrap. Then they basically set everything out as a preset for the packing. They inspected every item and identified if something had an issue, for example if it was already damaged. Once they started packing the truck they moved quickly and packed everything tightly. They took the truck back to their business to store overnight and then hit the road the next morning. No matter how you slice or dice it the trip took two days. They showed up on schedule, coordinated to get some local help and unpacked the truck. Before we knew it, we were in a new house with all of our stuff. Easy peasey. I would highly recommend Grace Moving to all family, friends and anyone else who is moving. read more
