I leased a new car under my name last fall, and ended up needing to get my own car insurance (separate from my parents' policy) and was referred to City Insurance. During the initial insurance search process, I worked with John (?) to compare quotes. He was very helpful via phone and email, over about half a day of quote comparisons. What if I wanted to lower my deductible? What if I wanted more ______? I probably got about 6 quotes before picking one, and he was patient and helpful the entire time. Now, a year later, I get an email from Cami letting me know my policy rate is decreasing (by $460/yr)! (I'd been in an accident a few years ago, but now it's far enough in the past that my insurance is finally getting cheaper again.) What a fun way to start the morning. She even helped me cancel my renters insurance (since I stopped renting a place a few months ago) AND is trying to get me a partial refund (since I should have canceled that a few months ago but never got around to it). 5 star experience so far. They compare all the major insurance companies and provide you with detailed quotes so you know how to compare apples-to-apples (without having to spend the time crunching numbers yourself!). My home's roof is fairly new and has no missing shingles. I responded to this false claim, requesting that they look into their error. Instead, I was asked for proof of the roof's condition. The burden of proof is not on me. Travelers was more than welcome to come inspect my roof and determine why such an outrageous and clearly false claim was made, but they did not. I cannot remain a customer with a company that treats its customers like this. If I ever needed to file a claim, I can't imaging the battle that would ensue to force them to pay. Because of this blatant, unprofessional mistreatment, I have switched to the competition.

My parents got great…read moreservice from Lee Hineline and when he passed away, his son Cliff took over and for 25 years, Cliff was my agent and dare I say friend. I got stellar service, counsel and support and he and his staff had my complete trust and confidence. When Cliff retired, this location turned into a circus. State Farm put multiple interim agents in this office and after what must have been 3 years, Jessica was placed here. It goes without saying. Jessica is not Cliff, but even worse, Cliff was able to run his office with a staff of 4. Jessica's staff appears to be at least 12 and with 3x the staffing, the service, support and competence is so far below what it should be, I would caution anyone considering this office for quality coverage. Gone are the days of the Good Neighbor mentality, you are a policy number and paycheck for this office, no one is fighting for you or advocating for you and when you finally need to exercise your policy, be prepared to be let down. This is an embarrassment for this office and State Farm, but the reality is that neither care. So, this is my feedback on this practice, company and culture. Do better, Karma is coming.

Our policies had a ton of minor errors that we had go back and forth to get rectified. The policies were all suddenly purchased without me OK-ing their purchase. I had asked them to wait until I made a decision on all my policy limits and then have them be purchased at the same time. I didnt complain since it saved me money, but when the policies came back I found a bunch of small errors. Tyler's team member claimed that it was fine for me to sign an incorrect declarations since they would be eventually corrected. You wont get responses to emails and then 3-4 days later a lot of things will happen without announcement or confirmation. I had to keep changing email subject lines to get their attention. Even after escalating to Tyler, and him confirming that the policy had been fixed, the policy still didnt have the requested changes. Their portal will have a partial view of the policies which defeats the purpose of having a single portal to get access to all policies. The absolute worst part about this is they don't seem to think any of it is their fault/problem unless you press them hard on it. No apologies, no acknowledgement of failures, nothing! It also makes me feel that is how they expect to operate and feel that you are being unreasonable expecting this level of care, concern and accuracy. Given all of this, I would be super worried about working with this group when I actually have a claim to file.
