When I called to complain the company about the instructor (RAUL), and his complete inappropiate behaviour, they lied to me that they will reschedule a class with another teacher. Furthermore, the teacher Raul call me and very rudely start screaming on the phone, disrespecting me and my son and saying that my son was a liar. I asked to speak with a supervisor or management, to address the problem, but they declined to give me the info. Use another more professional company, it will be better spent with some company that cares about teaching and not insulting the clients.

I tried to reason with her and told her i could pay half of it or something smaller because I couldn't make the lesson anymore due to having to move stuff around cuz of her mistake, to which she replied that the $50 wasn't available anymore and I'd have to pay the fee of the entire lesson. The business seems quite disorganized. It's not a surprise that most of the negative reviews refer to the administration rather than the instructors. :(

When I moved back to Southern California and had to relearn how to drive, it was a stressful experience for both me and the family and friends who helped me practice. They were genuinely nervous riding with me at times, and I was especially anxious about lane changes, reversing, and parking. Oxford Driving School was able to fit me in for a same-week lesson despite my full-time work schedule, and the booking process was very smooth. I especially wanted to give my instructor, Chie, a shout-out. She was sweet, kind, encouraging, and very attentive to safety throughout our drive. She gave me clear, honest feedback about what I still needed to improve, particularly with parking, lane changes, speed, and traffic checks, while explaining corrections in a way that was constructive. I also appreciated that she struck a good balance between instruction and independence. She kept a close eye on what I was doing and stepped in when appropriate, but she also gave me opportunities to practice judging traffic gaps and making driving decisions for myself. She was sincerely invested in helping me understand how to reverse and park correctly rather than simply getting through the lesson. And somehow, she was in a great mood on a Saturday morning before 10 AM! As someone who is definitely not a morning person, I consider that a colossal feat. I had a very different experience with a driving school when I was a teenager, so I'm especially grateful for how positive and constructive this lesson was. He also wasn't even a good instructor, we would get to a dead end and I'd have to ask him to turn left or right while being fully stopped. He reached over and adjusted my wheel slightly while on a residential street approximately 5 times without saying a word. I got annoyed and I asked him, "am I driving too close to the other cars?" to which he replied "yes." You're supposed to tell me that! I have reason to believe that it was partially to invade my space especially due to the flirty comments. I've never had another instructor behave this way before, tried him out and was disappointed. I asked for a refund for just that lesson after I had switched to another instructor for my remaining 4 hours I had prepaid as part of the package. I did this to not lose any more money to this company, and another instructor was sufficient for the remaining lessons. When I asked for one for ONLY the lesson with Nathaniel (which they should have offered in the first place), they offered me a complimentary lesson with another instructor instead, stating that they "understood my frustration" and would "have a conversation with him." This completely dodges accountability. This service is not what I paid for and I will be having to go out of my way to file a charge dispute with my bank to make things right. I also reported him to the DMV already online. When I posted about the school and reporting the school to the DMV on my Instagram account, one of my old coworkers reached out to me. She's 18. I didn't even mention his name in my post, yet she had asked me "did you get Nathaniel?". I was like "how the heck did you know?" And apparently he had harassed her too. He thought she was underage and still proceeded to make inappropriate comments about her height. Take this review as a warning. This man shouldn't be teaching driving to anybody ESPECIALLY high schoolers because he is abusing his position of power to harass young girls and women. They responded to this review alerting me that they were advised to sue. As a response, I have attached the email, which includes no personal information about anyone whatsoever, in which they acknowledged that his behavior was unacceptable, not "small talk." They also included in their public response to my review that "lessons are 2 hours long and can be stopped at any time if students feel uncomfortable." This sentence honestly really frustrated me because I feel that it inappropriately shifts the responsibility onto me, a new driver who did not know where we even were on the road or how to get back to the school, to tell a man 3 times my size and double my age while alone in the car with him and reliant on his guidance, that I feel uncomfortable and wish to stop the lesson and head back. I consider this victim blaming. The fact that I reached out the day after and did everything I could to inform them of his behavior and state that I was no longer comfortable working with him after the lesson should have been enough for them to absolve me of blame from this situation. Their response speaks for itself. I stand by my review and encourage fellow Yelpers to always share their experiences, good or bad.

My daughter had taken lessons from another company where the instructor was professional but not nearly as informative and thorough as Daniel was with me, the parent, about what he was going to teach before the session and what they did after the session. As other reviewers have mentioned, Daniel is so knowledgeable about every aspect of instructing "how" to be a good driver, why you need to maneuver the car this way or that way, and took my son on all sorts of streets and freeways and different situations. And yes, Daniel is very funny (in a subtle way, I've noticed myself) and very very patient. And my son can attest to these comments! So, where do I even start? I wasn't able to get help from friends or family with practicing…read moredriving, and it really set me back. Eventually, I realized I needed some extra support. After about a year, I started taking weekly driving lessons with instructors, and within a couple of months, I was able to pass my driver's test just before my permit expired. I got my license at 25, and honestly, I sometimes feel like I'm behind compared to others who got theirs much earlier. Now, I'm in the process of purchasing my own vehicle, which I know will be a big step for me. Having a car is important, especially for emergencies and having the freedom to get where I need to go. Without this driving school and the support of its instructors, I don't think I would have been able to do it. If you're out there feeling afraid, behind, or like it's too late, don't give up.
