Yesterday was my third time here and I enjoy it more and more each time! They are open till 8pm which is AMAZING. Most places close at 6pm at the latest and I can never make it after work! So the fact that this place is open till 8 is amazing on its own, but the service is even better!!! I have been going here for a long time and the service has been ok. However, they have significantly increase their price. It went from 10,12,15 and now 17 dollars. The reason for the poor review was that they charge guys 17 compared to females at 15 to do brows. When asked why they did that, they gave me a lame reason that it was harder. Grace Threading offers threading, waxing and facials. Walk ins are welcome but appointments are recommended especially if you have a go to person. This is my go to when I'm in the Scripps/Mira Mesa area. I usually do walk ins during the early afternoon and never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I don't have a go to person as I usually just take my chances and let anyone who is available thread my brows. At the end of the threading, I opt for the witch hazel to reduce any redness. I only wish they would offer to brush off the stray hairs that are all over my face when the threading is complete. I usually need about a minute or two to clean up my face after the threading before walking out. Be sure to ask for a stamp card. After ten visits they will comp one of your threading sessions. I also noticed that they have a threading discount program. I didn't pursue, because their prices are already reasonable at $11 for eyebrow threading but it's definitely worth looking into. read more

I used to come to grace threading all the time. Today was a much different experience. I walked in and no one was in there. There were two ladies who worked there sitting on the bench on their phones. I asked if they had any openings and they asked me to sign in. They did not look like they wanted to work and I felt uncomfortable. I got my eye brows done and she took less than 5 mins and did not have any care to attention afterwards. I liked the shape of my eyebrows but customer service was horrible. I'll be looking for another spot from now on. read more

Other than my usual threading (which I LOVE btw), I decided to get a mini facial! I have only gotten one facial done prior so I was pretty excited and at the same time quite hesistant, because I have very sensitive skin. I was given a free consultation and a client questionaire to fill out. The facial masseuse was understanding of my concerns and explained my alternatives as to how their products would be used on my skin. She took preliminary precautions in case I got an allergic reaction by using a less powerful treatment. Her honesty left me feeling more than relieved by the end of the consultation. The facial took 30 minutes and involved cleansing, AHA exfoliation, neck and shoulder massage, extraction and mask, which by the way smelled like pumpkin goodness. It smelled soooo damn good I thought it was real, edible pumpkin..haha! Don't worry, I didn't take a taste of it, but the thought did cross my mind. Those 30 minutes went by fast! I was sad that it ended so soon..I wanted to stay there forever. What was even more impressive was while she was massaging my shoulders and back, she guessed that I worked in front of a computer all day since I had so much lactic acid built up!!! OMG! haha! I walked out of there feeling great with my skin literally glowing and no terrible reactions or redness from the treatments used! Such a major relief! I knocked off one star, only because I wasn't informed of the $5 discount for the facial on "Sunday Funday" until the end of May (as advertised on here). I rarely get to take advantage of discounts so it would have been nice to have been told that, but oh well..next time for sure! All in all, the experience was definitely worthwhile! read more

A few weeks ago, I decided to come here after grocery shopping at Trader Joe's in the area. I wasn't working and decided to treat myself to an eyebrow threading before my trip. I came in here not knowing what to expect and it was a great surprise! I was served right away since it was a little slow around noon on a Monday. The woman who helped me was very nice and didn't want to go too thin so she took off little by little until we got to what I wanted. Then she rubbed lotion on my brows to soothe the stinging and gave me a mini temple massage, which was rather relaxing and so unexpected! On top of that, it's cheaper than Beauty by Dolly and if you refer someone, you get discounts, and you get a nice discount card where they stamp each time you visit and after 10 threads, you get the 11th free. read more

WOW beyond impressed with this place. I have been getting threaded for a long while now. I prefer threading to waxing because I personally think the hair doesn't grow back as quickly, it's get all the hair better than waxing and it's easier on the skin. So I have tried several places and all have been pretty good but I will tell you why I think Grace is the best place yet. You walk in and they have examples on the wall of how you'd like your brows shapes and not photos of people like actual shapes. Next they use baby powder on your face (they ask first if it's ok), I have never had this done before but the reason they use the powder is so they can see the tiny hairs better. Next, the girl I went to shaped my brows so perfectly I am still amazed, she was a perfectionist. Shira I believe was her name. I'm sure everyone there is good but she was beyond good. Lastly they cleanse your face with Witch Hazel. Usually I break out with tiny little bumps when I get my face threaded but this has been the least amount I have broken out ever so I'm very happy about that. I came here out of convenience since Bombay Fashions is closed on Mondays. I thought I would give this place a try since their reviews seemed okay. As soon as I get to the door no one greets me. I sit down for about 15 min waiting and still no one bothers as to say anything. Finally I break the silence and ask if they have a restroom, turns out its out of order. I walk to Trader Joes and use their restroom and then come back. Girl who does my brows was nice but didn't seem very skilled. After getting home I realize my brows are very uneven, misaligned, and lacking shape. I have had much better. Again, this was my fault for settling for mediocre service. (After 10 threads, you get one for free.) Within the last year, I've noticed some girls are better than others. Lots of parking in the shopping center but it's a busy center especially during lunch and Friday's but truthfully I've never waited more than 15 minutes even on busy days. Grace Threading has always been my favorite place to get my eyebrows done because they're fast, efficient and know exactly how to do a cleanup without making it too thin. I have been coming to this specific location for over 5 years and there has never been a problem. However, today i specified to not make my eyebrows too thin as soon as I sat in the chair because I am still in the process of growing them out. It takes awhile for my hairs to fill in sparse areas so I assumed the lady would understand. I always come here during my lunch breaks and noticed it was taking longer than usual. I don't want to rat out the lady who did my eyebrows because I have a feeling she is still new and was really sweet. She ended up giving me a $2 discount but in all honestly, I should've gotten full compensation because I am so upset that I planned this in advance so I could enjoy my birthday in two days. I have no complaints coming here. I've been going here for my eyebrows for a few years now and each time I've gotten threaded by someone new. I don't always get the same person. I haven't had a problem. They all seem very gd at threading and making sure it's the way you requested it. Their very welcoming and the place has the sun beaming in on those sunny days which makes it nice while you are there waiting and or getting threaded. I got my eyebrows threaded here on August 8th 2020, this is my go to place. When I arrived however, the lady wasn't wearing her mask correctly and she wasn't wearing gloves. I only came here because I thought they were following all the procedures like wearing a mask properly, and gloves!! This place has been hit (kind of hit) or miss (mostly miss) since I started coming here a few months ago. I feel like after the first time I was disappointed, I probably should have stopped coming here. But due to having just moved to the area and Covid times, I really wanted this place to be my "go-to" spot. One time they took a bit too much hair off. One time it was SUPER painful, they used a really thick thread I've never had used on me before. I actually had to tell her to stop. Then, this last time (yesterday) it hurt pretty bad once again. But this time they didn't use the thick thread, it was just her technique. It was really red under my brows last night after I got home I could really see it. Then today there are actual CUTS IN MY SKIN that are more visible now that I'm not so red and swollen. As much as I've liked the idea of threading (and had an amazing threader years ago) I am officially done with it. Too many horrific experiences. I'm going back to waxing...it's time.
