I don't trust anyone else to do my lashes. I have pretty difficult lashes (super short, straight, Asian lashes) and have had some bad experiences. I came here almost two years ago with different management and quickly walked out due to cleanliness. The new owners reached out and wanted me to come in and check out the new updates. I'm so happy I did. Not only was my lash tech very kind and knowledge but extremely clean!! I've been getting my lashes done for more than 15 years now.. I'm getting old. I lived in NYC before and have got them done all over the city but usually Korea town and I know the differences between a great spot and horrible spot. Writing another review because I LOVE this place so much! I always did a mix of either classic or volume lash extensions because my lashes NEVER curl. I used to get the D curl lashes because I love how it gave my lashes volume and curl. I have long, stick straight lashes -- not even a lash curler with heat can help curl these bad boys. Ever since Lashbar came out with their Yumi Keratin lash lift service, I HAVE BEEN HOOKED! I always make it a point to make an appointment with Julie to do my lash lift. She's such a sweetheart and expert and makes all her clients feel comfortable before explaining the process. The Yumi Keratin lash lift lasts me about 10 weeks. It's definitely worth the investment for anyone who has the same issue as I do with non-curling lashes! With Valentine's Day coming up, I wanted to try something different with my lashes. I saw they were providing hybrid lashes -- a mix between classic and volume lashes. Jazel was my lash artist that day, and she was so sweet and kind. She showed me a chart of different lash styles, different curl types and what my dislikes are for lash styles. After getting my lashes done, I have to say hybrid lashes are the way to go if you're indecisive about whether or not to go with class or volume lashes. She knew exactly what I needed and went conservative on the length and drama, emphasizing the curl so that my lashes wouldn't hit my glasses. The lashes were natural-looking while enhancing my eyes. My fiancé loved the look, while at first he was apprehensive about my decision to modify my features (he was scared the lashes would be too gaudy). I had to take a few breaks in between due to my location and use other lash businesses, but nowhere compares to the service, professionalism or structure of LashBar. The newer location of LashBar is beautiful, spacious, and clean. All of the staff is so professional and knowledgeable about lashing and the products. Worst lash job I've ever received, and service. Gaps in lashes, quite a few clumps fell out soon as I got in the car, lashes weren't even glued at root they were mid lash attached on some lashes. You can see from pic the whole inside part of my eye is missing lashes so only 3/4 of my eye has lashes. Asked for cat eye got all sorts of different heights. Looked like someone took a fine tooth comb bristles and glued it on my lash line. Called them right away and let them know they' said to come in and they can fix it. I couldn't go in the time they gave me so I called twice and no one ever called me back to get me in. This is an inconvenience for me to go in and they don't even have the courtesy to call back and schedule. I wouldn't waste a dollar more at this place. read more

I've gone here twice now to get my lashes done. Both times with a junior tech. Everyone is very friendly. Once you walk in and check in, they always offer you a beverage while you wait. The last time I was there, the owner was in with a client. She actually knew my name even though I wasn't getting my lashes done by her. I love how everyone is so personal. My first threading experience at LashBar with Judy was great! I was excited to come back the second time. I was surprised when it wasn't Judy though! At first, I noticed that the threading was a bit harsher and not as gentle.. The eyebrow artist said she would put an oil on my eyelid because there were some sore spots, so I wasn't too worried. Then as I was leaving, I noticed that an area of my upper lid had a small cut in it. When I washed my face that night, my eyebrow area burned and I noticed that a lot of the brow hairs under the arch weren't plucked. Then I noticed that there were many cuts around my lid. My first visit to Lashbar was on March 1st. It's now March 11th and I maybe have 10-20% of lashes left on both eyes. I got my fill in the morning and later that evening noticed lashes falling out everywhere--I hadn't showered, washed my face, gotten them wet, or brushed them at all since they were put on 6 hours earlier. The days following, I would *very carefully* use my spooly to brush out the ends and experienced lashes falling out even with the slightest touch. Now, I'm not new to lash extensions. I recently moved back to San Diego and have been getting eyelash extensions every 2-4 weeks from a few different private lash artists in Santa Barbara for the past 1.5 years. I've experimented with classic, volumes, and hybrid sets. I'm actually pretty disappointed considering the massive amounts of positive reviews, how nice the girls where, and how nice/clean the Lashbar location was. I wonder if the glue they use is different than what I've had done before--you're typically supposed to wait about 6-8 hours after application before getting lashes wet, but they told me their formula was different and that it would be okay. I'm also not rough with my lashes at all, but for comparison I've gone to other places where I could comb my lashes bottom to top and not have a mess of them all over the counter afterwards. I did sign up for a membership and have an upcoming appointment in five days--at this rate, I could very possibly show up to this two week fill with zero lashes. Due to my work schedule I can't make any appointments sooner during the week (work too late) but I might call later today about moving it up. Unfortunately if the lashes continue to fall out at this rate I will have to find somewhere else to get my fills done. read more
