I took a major break from lash extensions. I first got them in 2017, and got them without breaks for almost 2 years. Convinced that they "ruined" my natural lashes (the extensions and no breaks likely contributed to it), I caved in around 2020-2021 and got them on and off during that time. I caved in (again)! I actually discovered Suzie a while ago but didn't end up scheduling until sometime later (last month). So far, I've had two sessions with Suzie and her work is as-expected in terms of quality, speed, and professionalism. Price-wise, she is on par with others that are certified in the area. What Suzie stands out for is her actual studio, personality, and other "personal" touches. Hands down, Suzie has the cleanest, prettiest, and most calming studio / beauty salon I've been to (and I've been to 4 different lash ladies before her!). I think this reflects how Suzie is both as a person and as a beauty professional. Suzie is super sweet and nice to chat with, which is great when passing time during the lash fills. I can tell she listens and cares for her clients! For instance, she asked me why I stopped getting extensions as she was concerned about any allergies. I told her I don't have any allergies (to the glue), but that my lashes just became weak overtime. I was glad when she told me my lashes are not "as bad" as I keep thinking and that she has seen "worse"! Suzie also provides a cute care package with maintenance instructions, pricing, and two spoolies for brushing your lashes. Furthermore, her salon has lash-related products in her store, such as lash shampoo and a lash brush (sturdier version, not the ones that you can throw away/one-use). I bought lash shampoo during my first visit and they've definitely helped keep my lashes clean! Another thing that stood out to me is that Suzie encourages using lash serums! I told her that I was advised in the past that that wasn't OK to do. She said, "Nope, that's a lie." That stuck with me since I knew my lashes were taking a beating from the extensions, and was disappointed when I was told I (apparently) couldn't use lash serum with extensions. I've gotten my lashes done dozens of times over the last couple of years and it's easy for me to say this is the place I'll be sticking with. I have monolids and hooded eyes so it could be a bit difficult to find lashes that look good with my eyes but she knew exactly what I needed.
