I got there, the interview went great, and they said they would get back to me within a week. A week passes and I still haven't heard anything back. I call them the next Saturday, but no one answered the phone. I called again the following Monday and told them I want to check on the status of my application. They put me on hold for a few seconds and then tell me that the doctor is sorry to get back to me so late but that the position has been filled. Very unprofessional for an employer to not get back to applicants at all until they check in, especially when it was communicated by the employer that they would reach out to you within a certain time frame.
