It took a long time and lots of research to find her, so this was not great news! I did some research around Sumner County and found Sandi at Fresh Esthetics. This place is literally a five minute drive from my work--BONUS! Upon further inspection, they offer all of the amazing services of a Nashville salon (hard wax being my #1 requirement), and for a fraction of the price. The first time I visited, Sandi blew me away with how comfortable she made me feel and how down to earth and REAL she is. Not only did she do an amazing job with my wax, she was really fun to talk to! I've now been back for a follow-up visit and I must say, the salon is clean, the appointment reminders are amazing and they even carry some really cool product in the waiting area. There was no consultation about my color goals, desired blonde tone, or haircut plan before the service started. I had to stop her myself to show inspiration photos, and even then there was very little discussion. Throughout the appointment, decisions were made without explanation, including applying additional bleach and charging me $50 for toner without ever discussing the cost or expected result. When I expressed concerns about the color and wanted to make sure we were on the same page before cutting my hair, I was asked if I didn't trust her rather than having an actual conversation about expectations. The haircut was equally confusing. I was told she was only trimming my hair before the color service and would complete the haircut afterward. I changed my original haircut request from a long bob to long layers during the appointment, but the haircut was never completed. When I questioned this at checkout, I was told the haircut had already been done before the color service, which directly contradicted what I had been told earlier. After nearly four hours, I left with wet hair, unsure if I had even received the haircut I paid for, and feeling like my concerns were being taken personally instead of being addressed professionally. The issue isn't that I didn't get a perfect result. The issue is that there was little consultation, poor communication, and no real attempt to resolve concerns when they were raised. That's something potential clients should know before booking.

I was also greeted by his cute rotweiller sabel!!!!! (i LOVE dogs) when i got inside i realized i was the only one in there besides one other woman, which i then realized (with all bad things going on in the world) i was actually kind of nervous. but Ty got me sitting down and immediately got to work, and we start to chat. He is EXTREMELY personable, we talked about his kids in florida and how he's owned this salon for 6 years. he took his time with the massage which is not normal, most places usually have a timer or seem like they're in a rush, but Ty seemed to enjoy our convo and kept the massage going! i also found out the other woman is his girlfriend (who is such a sweetheart) and had a nice conversation with her as well. the vibe is 1000% not what you'd normally get at your average salon. Ty's salon gives off a very 'mom and pop' feel to it, especially with his dog walking around. I will a million times take my money to a business like Tys over your average salon, especially since he gave me, hands down, the BEST pedicure i've had in awhile. I'm completely blown away with my experience, and he now has a forever customer if he'll have me. Thank you so so much Ty.

DIP/SNS on my real nails and it's always a baby pink. Ty was kind upon arrival and was on time, but his salon is clearly dirty. It doesn't appear as though he washes his tools after each customer nor lines the pedicure bowl from previous pictures on here. My nail color is extremely uneven, my nails are poorly filed and shaped, and he didn't ask me what shape I wanted. One has already chipped. I just am so sad that I paid $60 for this. Especially in this economy. Please just make customers feel like they're important and that you value their patronage.
