here is an extremely honest review if you have the time to read it. it was saturday night around 6:45pm, and i completely forgot i really needed to get a pedicure done before my family gets to town. i've only lived in the area for a few months now, so i was still trying to figure out what nail salon i liked best. the one i've been going to was ok, but they were closing in the next 15 mins and i know they wouldn't take me as a walk in. so i jumped on maps and found lavish salon was open until 9pm, which was interesting to me considering that is not common for a nail salon to be open late. i figured i'd call and give them a chance, and he said it's appointment only but can get me in in the next hour. so i get there, and from the outside it's not your average looking nail salon like you'd see at a strip mall or a shopping center. the door was locked so i knocked, and Ty let me in. I was also greeted by his cute rotweiller sabel!!!!! (i LOVE dogs) when i got inside i realized i was the only one in there besides one other woman, which i then realized (with all bad things going on in the world) i was actually kind of nervous. but Ty got me sitting down and immediately got to work, and we start to chat. He is EXTREMELY personable, we talked about his kids in florida and how he's owned this salon for 6 years. he took his time with the massage which is not normal, most places usually have a timer or seem like they're in a rush, but Ty seemed to enjoy our convo and kept the massage going! i also found out the other woman is his girlfriend (who is such a sweetheart) and had a nice conversation with her as well. the vibe is 1000% not what you'd normally get at your average salon. Ty's salon gives off a very 'mom and pop' feel to it, especially with his dog walking around. I will a million times take my money to a business like Tys over your average salon, especially since he gave me, hands down, the BEST pedicure i've had in awhile. I'm completely blown away with my experience, and he now has a forever customer if he'll have me. Thank you so so much Ty. read more

Hate to say it and hate writing negative reviews but Ty, you need some advice. I've been getting my nails done for years. Same thing every time. DIP/SNS on my real nails and it's always a baby pink. Ty was kind upon arrival and was on time, but his salon is clearly dirty. It doesn't appear as though he washes his tools after each customer nor lines the pedicure bowl from previous pictures on here. My nail color is extremely uneven, my nails are poorly filed and shaped, and he didn't ask me what shape I wanted. One has already chipped. I just am so sad that I paid $60 for this. Especially in this economy. Please just make customers feel like they're important and that you value their patronage. read more

Being new to the Nashville area, I'm going through the painful process of finding quality services that I had on speed dial in MS. I can tell you that finding Lavish Nail Care was a Godsend! I read online that it is appointment only, so I called a little after 7 am to leave my request for an appointment on the answering machine. To my complete surprise, Tran answered the phone and kindly made an appointment for me for that afternoon. So happy I found Lavish Nails! COVID: staff wore masks or when not working with a client socially distanced. Work stations had hanging plexiglass. Work stations were sanitized and wiped down between clients. Temperature was taken at check in. Things are very well organized on the nail polish wall with matching dip powder to regular polish so I could pick toe nail polish to match and not hunt it down. (The whole place could use a good dust but to be expected because of filing nails all day). Ty is the best! I haven't had nails done in a long time but due to lots of hand washing my nails were a wreck. Ty walked me through what would be better for my nails (dip powder vs gel). My pedicure was amazing and he took his time working off age old calluses and helping an in grown toe nail. I called on a monday. when i arrived they have paper towels so you don't have to touch knobs which is AMAZING! for al of the doors! the atmosphere was clean & relaxing. they offered wine which was a PLUS! I desperately needed a pedicure and I figured I would get a manicure as well. I was able to make an appointment for the very next day. It was great. I was taken into a private room to get both my pedi and manicure. Ty was very patient with me, even though I changed my mind on what color of my toes three times. Due to my medical condition, massages hurt me and when I told Ty it hurt when he was massaging my legs, he didn't bat an eye, he just moved to something more soothing for me. I'm hesitant to write such a good a review because I don't want Ty to become too busy! I got the SNS dip powder manicure from Ty about a week and a half ago. My nails still look like they were done yesterday, even though I work with my hands everyday and am very rough with them. The perfect shape and thickness as I requested and a good price too, considering his local competition. He has about 40 colors to choose from in the SNS; though I would like to see a wider variety of color tones, I can just as easily bring in my own colors to have exactly what I want. Services: dip manicure & regular pedicure Pros: easy booking, uniform manicure appearance with no imperfections, received many compliments on dip manicure, polish did not crack or peel as nails do not bend (much like artificial nails), long lasting Cons: nails were thin and tore easily after removal with acetone so will probably go back to gel manicure though the dip lasts longer, was a bit uncomfortable with no other customers or employees in the salon (but this was very soon after the salon reopened in September and I expect would not be the case now) Pics were taken approx 3 weeks after manicure. Only removed polish then because one kept popping off (reattached with nail glue) after I injured my finger and bent the nail back. Eventually the polish shell tore. I found Lavish on Yelp and booked an appointment with Nancy. It was absolutely wonderful! I was the only customer and it was so peaceful. They had loads of colors to choose from. I had the deluxe pedicure and it was so worth it! Nancy did an amazing job and the massage was on point! She also did a great job with my acrylic fill and shellac, they're perfect! Ty was literally falling asleep while doing my nails. The dip powder is not even, my nails are bulky, I'm very disappointed. I hate my nails
