After getting Frannie from Bonita, I got engaged, got married, moved, and am expecting my first child and Frannie has been with us through it all. She has continued to grow into her affectionate, loving, and friendly personality. She has calmed down quite a bit and is still very playful. I have kept in touch with Pat all these years, she loves receiving updates and pictures of Frannie. She even came to our wedding! Still forever grateful to Bonita for giving me my first baby!

Both dogs are beautiful, incredibly healthy, and have been amazing additions to our family. And I really can't say enough good things about Famn Damily. I've been there twice now. With my family. In both cases we drove 240 miles to get there, just because we realized what a special place it is, and because we knew we didn't want to get our puppies from any place else. You set foot on the farm, and you see dogs that are truly living their best lives. They have so much space to run and play, they are so well cared for, and so loved, and so clearly happy!! And healthy. And the facilities that have been constructed for the dogs, that clearly took a great deal of time, money and effort to build, are very impressive. Melodie Hammond runs the farm. And she's amazing. I know that my future dogs will be golden retrievers, simply because I know I only want to get puppies from Melodie, from Famn Damily, and Golden retrievers are what she breeds. He's an honest, hard working guy with a lot of heart. This shelter is not his job - it's his life. He's a dedicated person who really loves animals. Pike County is a NO KILL shelter that has had dogs there as long as 4-5 years and even adopted at that age. He was very honest with me that Biscuit was not housebroken so that there would be no misguided expectations. She's a wonderful dog and she's in the process of being trained and she's responding well. I love her to pieces and will be giving my yearly donation to Pike County going forward. Please consider adopting a pet from Pike County or even a donation of any amount would help this hard working Shelter with caring volunteers.
