I empathise deeply with the vulnerability and pain and suffering the reviewers experienced. As a PROFESSIONAL hypnotherapist it is absolutely unconscionable and downright wrong for anyone seeking emotional (or any type) of healing to be abused. On behalf of all mental health professionals I apologise for all those who don't adhere to the professional practices expected. I caution people not to attend any sessions with this woman. If you are going to hypnotherapy, it likely means you are in a vulnerable position and should be treated and spoken to with caution and care. She completely lacked any empathy, she discounted my traumatic memories and said I was "one of those sensitive people". She has no idea how to talk to people in distress, anyone who does this should be trained in psychology or another professional disciplining. Her ridiculous "certifications" plastered all over her wall don't count. I believe in hypnotherapy and have met respectable ones since Grace. It's people like her that give it a bad name, as she is clearly not in it to help people, but to make money, Or maybe she just likes the power she gets from it. I'd actually been warned about such frauds in this area but chose to ignore the warning. At one point during "hypnosis" when I said that my father had died, she said "oh yes now I see", as if she'd known all along, as if she was clairvoyant. She then asked if I'd like to ask him to be my spirit guide....I've done Youtube self hypnosis since and it's been immensely successful and helpful. Just like everyone else stated, she blamed everything on me and the whole thing just seemed so illegitimate and foolish. But I was in such a vulnerable and unstable place that I completed the program and I really did believe I was the reason it didn't work. Reading all of these comments gives me so much comfort that it wasn't all my fault and that I was taken advantage of. I really was in such poor mental health at the time, it's a wonder her "treatment" didn't have any more serious consequences, considering how unstable I was. I was on a ledge and the slightest thing could have pushed me over. I hope others read all of these reviews before deciding to be fooled by her. I wouldn't want a vulnerable person to be sucked in, and have more problems added to the ones we're supposed to be getting treatment for.....I also hope she reads these reviews and knows that we're all smarter than that and know it wasn't us in the wrong, it was her. read more

I also was abused by Grace after giving her 800$ for three sessions (I only went to two). As I was baring my profound childhood wounds she passed judgmental comments about me and my mother, she invalidated my emotions and when I said the eye exercises she told me to do to become hypnotized (which didn't work, I spent the whole time thinking I was hungry) gave me headaches, she blamed it on me. I never went to my third session and she still pretended she earned it because of the countless hours spent on my case. She used a decent amount of that time talking about her political views (she thinks that Hillary Clinton wanted to invade Russia) her professional goals and her family history as well. On top of it all, when I gave her a three stars review on Google she responded by displaying details of my personal issues on Google. I paid 200$ to send her a formal notice asking for my money back that she ignored. She is definitely an abusive narcissistic witch. read more

Steer clear of this narcissistic abusive woman. When I didn't do my homework properly, she became abusive toward me and told me off about what a terrible person I am. I found her constantly moving between telling me I am wonderful as is and I am an intolerable human being. She used the things I confided in her about what I perceive as my faults to put me down. I thought my homework was to email her about issues I encountered throughout the week between appointments and tell her how I dealt with them, but she seemed to think I did this on purpose and that I was just complaining and she told me off in an email. I tried to explain but she wouldn't listen and insisted her first impression of my emails was accurate and I'm a liar. After receiving these abusive attacks on my person, I reluctantly went to my third appointment with her which was paid in advance. I was polite and referred to the email exchanges as "a misunderstanding" so that we could get past them peacefully; again she told me off about what a bad person I am, then completed the last appointment. It took a long time for me to recover from this experience; to go to someone and bare all and be treated like scum. I feel sad for anyone who spends as much money as I did just to be abused by a sociopath who believes in chemtrails. But forget your money, I'm writing this so you can save yourself; she's truly one of the most awful people I have ever encountered in my life. read more

I second the other poor review. I also was charged $820 in advance for 3 sessions, except I *thought* at the time that I was being successfully hypnotized (no problems going under). The process works like this: you are put under and you will relive some moments in your life that left you with unresolved feelings that you are to describe to Grace. She will then talk you through the memory or even "reenact" it to give you the closure/resolution that was missing, then move on to the next memory to do the same. In retrospect, there were some red flags during these sessions, for example I felt like Grace was passing judgement and invalidating my feelings about one memory when she said "oh that's not traumatic" and asked me to move to the next one instead of working through it like she did with the others. I contacted Grace to help me work on being more assertive and punctual. So it came as a shock to me when I was 10 minutes late for my last session, she refused to open the door (she works out of her home and her car was in the driveway!) and would not answer her phone. When I finally did reach her (about 30 minutes into my session, after I drove around the corner to be out of her sight) she answered the phone and said it was too late to have the session. She proceeded to scold me about being late - the very thing she was supposed to be helping me with. She would not reschedule without another payment, so basically she scammed me out of my last session. I went ahead and paid for a rescheduled last session out of fear that the hypnotherapy would be rendered ineffective if the program was not completed (this is what she told me). Well the joke was on me... in the end, her treatments had no noticeable effect on me other than leaving me feeling like a pushover who was $1000 poorer. So much for being more assertive! If anyone reading this is considering her treatments to help them with something deeper, please contact a trained professional therapist or counselor at the risk of being exploited by hypnotherapy's "promises". If your goal is to work on self-improvement, I recommend reaching out to real friends and family who care about you and making time to do things that you love. Such activities were far more helpful to me than hypnotherapy, and no the hypnosis did not lead me to this conclusion. I actually had a harder time after Grace's sessions because I had placed too much blind faith in her and the way she treated me left me feeling cheated and unsettled. Quite the opposite of what her own website states: "Be free of unwanted negative emotions". She was supposed to help me be more assertive, yet I never worked up the nerve to confront her (and it's sad but she probably knew this). Given that my feedback was long overdue - I saw Grace back in 2011 - I would say I'm still working on the punctuality thing too ;-) read more

Do not waste your time and money here. I was charged $820 for 3 sessions that she required full payment before even booking. After I told her she did not succeed in hypnotizing me she said that's because I didn't know what hypnotizing meant. Here's what I do know; I followed her military regime to the letter, she had to be in charge of every detail including me not being allowed to cross my ankles and how to sit in the chair with one arm under a blanket and one arm on top... these are just some minor examples. She did not make me feel physically safe at all. I asked to have someone sit in with me to help ease my mind she refused. She even refused to allow me to record my own session. When I told her I did not want to return not only did she refuse to refund me any part of my money, she even refused to pass the unused session to any other client of her own choosing. She wrote a 4 page e-mail accusing me of lying and blaming me for the failure of HER program. Take my advice and save yourself some time and money and go elsewhere! read more

Absolute nightmare. This woman reads negativity into everything, and will blame you if her program doesn't work for you rather than try to help you understand what you could modify to improve your success. I went to Grace for anxiety and chronic insomnia and had started taking sleeping pills a few days before starting the program. During the first session, she told me about their detrimental effects and I stopped taking them immediately. In spite of telling her this on multiple occasions, she repeatedly blamed the failure of her program on the sleeping pills. From the beginning, I had huge issues listening to the audio recording which you are required to run all night for 30 days. There are a wide range of volumes in the recording making it very difficult to sleep to, especially if you're supposed to be able to hear the words. I asked for clarification on the volume many times but rather than helping me to get it right, she would reply with things like "you seem not to accept that it is not intended for you to listen to, but for you to sleep to", "you simply choose not to ... use your CD as taught", "the real problem seems to lie with you wanting to change and manage everything your way", or "It seems there is absolutely nothing about this Program that you want to follow as laid out". Her cannons launched in full force when, 1 week into the program, I asked to move our 3rd session out by 1 week. She absolutely refused - even though the contract she has you sign only asks for 72 hrs notice. Her response was "I am not prepared to add to my workload because you chose not to follow the guidance I provided". Not only did she not provide guidance but she could not justify why moving the date created extra work for her. In her last email she said "I will no longer tolerate being subjected to your blaming, your threats, and your insistence on taking up far more of my time without compensation". This bizarre thing about this is it was a summary of her behaviour not mine. I never blamed her - but she did blame me for the program not working; as for the "threat", you be the judge - I said "If you can't accommodate a later date, then I expect my money back"; and the only reason she expended excess time corresponding with me is because she spent paragraphs blaming the program failure on sleeping pills I wasn't taking, rather than answering my simple question about volume.
