I have been to Gracie's Bar & Grill a few times since it has opened. The first time i went with a group of friends, We had a fantastic time. The music was playing and you could still talk without yelling at each other. Great group of people. The second time I took my family. The kids loves playing music on the jukebox and sitting at the large table. The table are wonderful lots of room if you have a BIG family you don't feel like you are on top of each other. The kids Menu was inexpensive and very large portions. Our waitress was so sweet also. I would tell all my fiends, family and co-worker to go there. It's a GREAT PLACE. read more

Salisbury Beach rolls up the carpet after Labor Day but there are still a few places to hit if you're hungry. Most notable is Gracie's. Relatively new, doesn't matter, the food and the friendly service speak for themselves!! They have daily specials and I dove into a shrimp boat face first! Fresh and properly fried. Hubby and I happened upon Gracie's during low season. We saw a bunch of locals and knew it had to be good! We were not disappointed! I ordered a simple dinner of clam chowder and a side salad. The clam chowder was excellent and obviously homemade! It was full of tons of clam pieces! My dude salad was huge for $2.95! My hubby had the Burnout Burger and said he'd definitely place it in the top 5 burgers he's ever had! As the special of the night, .25 cent wings, we ordered a dozen Cajun wet. EXCELLENT!! We came here from Newburyport and were looking to try a different area - it's a cool location with the bar in the middle and seating in both sides. We got there on a weekday around lunch time and it was pretty slow but by the time we were ready to leave it was getting pretty busy. The music was loud so it was hard to talk but it had a fun feel. It's a shame there are poor reviews on here because I've never had a bad experience here. Food is great, service is great and the owner is amazing. People don't understand with a full restaraunt of people coming in all at once means there will be a little wait for their food due to a small kitchen. But let me tell you, it's well worth the wait. I've never had a bad experience with any sever or bartender. They're all happy and make coming here fun and entertaining. It' like family here with so many regulars having a blast. As for the ones who were complaining about the server and owner over not accepting the id they had with them, anyone has the right to refuse service. It's their judgement call to decide. And I'm sure it was not the way you had actually described it. I believe you were told by the police you were wrong for walking out on your tab and you were told to either be arrested or pay the tab. Even the police officer said that Gracie's handled it correctly. That's why you had to pay your tab. That goes with every restaraunt. And for the ones complaining about the wait on food, it's a shame because everything is made fresh and from scratch. If you order a well done burger it's going to take a bit, as nothing is frozen there which I absolutely love. As for the ones saying bad service, rather than complain online, ask for a manager or owner. I'm sure they can fix any problem, as well as if there's an issue with food. Gracie's is a 10 in my book. Got here at 7 NO ONE KNEW WHAT THE HELL they were doing, because it was shift change. So that made it okay for the 5 of us to sit at a table for 25 minutes before someone came to the table. We went to Gracie's tonight and we always have a good time. And we did tonight, ya the food took long but honestly our server was awesome and the kitchen manager was the one who truly made our experience awful. Jodie was an amazing lady and she tried to do her best to make everything amazing. And she did. The kitchen manager was sitting, drinking and playing pool while there was a rush with the food. I just wish he handled everything differently. I work in the food industry and I know how it is, believe me. He should have been a manager and got back in the kitchen instead of playing pool and drinking. I wasn't going to complain but I soon found out that Jodie got terminated and that is the only reason why I am doing this, she deserves her job at Gracie's. read more

I have been to Gracie's a couple of times with friends and enjoyed the wings and burgers. Went there last night, Wednesday, July 6, around 9 pm with 5 friends for some drinks, wings and burgers and was absolutely disgusted with the server!! She was beyond rude and demeaning. At one point, she walked away from our group, refusing to take our order after we asked a couple of simple questions about the menu. When she finally came back she states..."now that your all settled down" what would you like. Are you kidding me??? We ordered one round of drinks for 6 people...ohh yeah only 5 drinks came after nearly 40 minutes of being ignored, (couldn't even place a food order)...we asked for the check and left. The chicken parm sliders are FANTASTIC. Cheeseburger sliders are pretty good too, as well as the nachos. We've been 5 times and so far this is all we've eaten. Worst meal I have ever gotten. My mom and I ordered the captain's platter that was $28.00 and it was so small. The fish looked like they fried the skin and served it to us. The onion rings were gray and pathetic. People are nice but they mess up the food often because even the table next to us got the wrong order. We (4) went on a night when the place was packed and the only server available was a lovely girl named Marie. She rocked it all!! We did have to wait a bit for some service but once I grabbed her and explained that we needed to drink, eat and get to a show next door, she was ALL over it!! She made sure things moved. Completely Disgusted with how we were treated here!!! My cousin who has served in the Army brought his newly married wife to sailsbury beach we decided to Eat here since I hear good things..... Well we were wrong because his wife is from Ireland the only form of identification she holds with his last name is a Government issued Employee Authorization Card which if you look it up its a valid form of identification. Well the Sever said she has never encountered an ID like this so she needs to talk to the owner. She then returns to tell us that Her ID is not a valid form of identification and the owner said she cannot serve her. I then asked to speak with the owner who arrived completely Disgusted that we had the nerve to ask for her.I asked her why she will not accept her Identification and her Reply was it's expired idk what that is and your going to take me away from my kitchen to deal with THIS!! I don't have time for this if you had a drivers license then I could serve you but if not Im not going to. At this point my cousins wife explained because she recently got married this is all the government could issue her until her Green card arrives and it expires next year. The owner could care less said I am not serving you and goes back inside and which my cousins wife leaves balling her eyes out. I will never return here and I will make sure all my friends and family know how we were treated! Not to mention made me pay for food we didn't even eat but because we ordered it we needed to pay for it!! Rediculous !!!! read more
