If I could give 1/2 stars, I would go for 3.5 stars for this restaurant. It had enough good that I would go back to try other things in the future but I'm not in a rush to do so. I had the tropical grilled salmon. It had a nice fresh pineapple salsa that had a spicy kick to it. Salmon was nicely grilled and mashed potatoes were under seasoned. My dinner was ok but I wouldn't order it again. We did not like the fruit punch margarita. We will have to try something different next time. Our server was very attentive although she was going back and forth between inside and outside customers. This location has a nice outdoor patio with fire pits and heat lamps that we enjoyed. As a date night, I decided on Sylvan St. Grille. The restaurant was easy to get to and had plenty of parking. First impression was a clean and organized place with a nice outdoor seating area. I decided on the Fisherman's Plate!! Well fried and plenty of haddock, shrimp, whole belly clams and scallops. Served with fries AND onion rings! Also ordered the Fruit Punch Margarita to wash it all down. The seafood was under seasoned but the salt and pepper buried in the bucket of utensils and napkins quickly took care of that. The tartar sauce was more like a dill dip, not a hit for me. The coleslaw was also under seasoned and the dressing had no flavor, seemed like minimal effort was made with it. Perhaps my least favorite was the Margarita. The overall flavor was bitter and was almost undrinkable. Overall if you're looking for value, I.e. lots of food for a good price, you've found your spot! read more

I recommend this place unreservedly. It earns high marks on multiple fronts: Great location just off the highway with plenty of parking. An extensive list of quality craft beers including my favorite IPA, Fiddlehead. The prices were quite reasonable for the 22oz pours. As a sports hub, it is hard to imagine a better layout to watch sports. TVs all over the place that can be seen from any table. This includes above the urinals in the men's room. Finally the food. We started with the ultimate nachos which were indeed loaded. I ordered the whole belly clams and they were perfect: not a lot of breading, and a good portion of clams. A group of six (6) had dinner here on Thursday, May 1. We were seated promptly, offered water, and our beverage order was taken quickly. Our server was kind and quick. Everybody quickly decided what they would have; I chose the baby back ribs, a half rack, which was flavorful, tender, and delicious. Quite literally, fall off the bone. I shared with one of my dining partners as the portion was generous, and came with an abundance of French fries, and coleslaw on the side. Last Saturday we celebrated my daughter's wedding at the Sylvan Street Grille and it was an amazing time. In addition to it being an incredible time to celebrate, the staff at Sylvan Street was absolutely incredible and helped take the celebration to the next level. They were friendly, efficient, anticipated all our needs, and they were always present without being intrusive. Today is Thursday and we received another call from one of our guests telling us how great the food was and what a fantastic time they had. Weddings are usually so stressful, but they made this celebration so smooth and seamless. The hall was immaculate, the linens were perfect, and the dance floor was the perfect size. Everyone had such a fantastic time, that our guests did not want to leave so we kept the hall for an extra hour. I can't give enough compliments to the Sylvan Street Team. After the movies I ordered takeout from the Sylvan Street Grille. I ordered the Asian sesame chicken salad and it was delicious. The chicken was good, but the salad itself was amazing. It is served with honey mustard dressing, which I didn't think I would like, but I actually loved it. Along with the usual salad contents, lettuce, field greens, shredded carrots, shredded cabbage, there was also crispy, fried wanton strips and some very thin vermicelli like pasta, which was tossed in sesame oil. On our way home from the beach in Rye, we had the changce to visit Salisbury for the Sylvan Street Grille location. Beautiful day with lots of traffic on 95 and in the beach area (Hampton, Salisbury, Seabrook, Rye). We pulled in to Sylvan and parked immediately. We were seated rather quickly in a nice spot with clear view of three televisions with golf, baseball and horse racing. The restaurant is very clean and well organized with a bar in the middle and seating wrapped around it. There is outside seating available, as well. We decided to not order appetizers so we jumped right on our main entree. We ordered Caesar salad and chicken panini wrap, which came as a sandwich....which is fine. We had one issue with our drinks, which was kind of weird. We each had a water with lemon and a pepsi. When the pepsi came, it was either flat or diet. We sent it back and the waitress came back with a two new drinks. When we both tried the 2nd drink, it tasted like dish soap. We mentioned it again to the waitress who quickly jumped on it and brought us two new (#3) pepsi's. The third one was the trick....it tasted fine. Overall, the food was fine. You can see on my chicken panini, one side of the sandwich had a very small piece of chicken with some onion. I hate when this happens and I think about how the kitchen personnel could send out a sandwich that looks like that?? I gave our visit a 4 star If we go back, I would guess that we would award a 5 star but we can't do it this time with the drink situation and chicken panini sandwich. Great vibe and plenty of parking in this restaurant! PS: Should the waitress take off our drinks or offer free dessert for what we went through with the drinks and chicken? Do not I repeat do not get the pot pie. It was the saltiest thing my wife had ever tasted. So she said I could have it as I love salt lol. Omg it was way too salty for me! Felt awful the next day as well. Also don't get fooled on paying a 20% tip when you order online. Who's getting that tip? The computer? The girl that walks it out 5 feet? It was my wedding day. And it was a tropical storm, and I was married on the beach. Soaking wet and cold. My wedding venue was outside and failed to provide the amenities to keep us warm or dry. We were stranded with nowhere to go or celebrate my big day. We called everyone, and no one could accommodate. My brothers finally thought of Sylvans street grille: without hesitation they said absolutely. 30 of us all soaking wet had an absolutely amazing dinner. It was delicious, warm and came out all on time with out any mistakes. Everyone including the other patrons were so kind and happy for us. Sylvan Street grille truly saved my wedding night. Salisbury location has really really gone downhill the last two times we have eaten there have not been good. Went for a birthday celebration yesterday 4/13/25 and not 1 good meal between 6 of us. I often go to Sylvan with friends, we mostly get drinks and apps, which we love. On Friday night I went with a group of friends and set my keys in the back the booth. Realizing it was a bad idea, I reached back to take them off and knocked them into a crack into the abyss. I currently do not have a spare set of keys .Management , staff, patrons , multiple people came to try and help me. It was well over an hour, and finally, Todd a patron got my keys out. Everyone went so far above and beyond to help us out, by the time we are finishing the drama out it was very busy. We then were finally able to relax, have my favorite extra dirty martini, and order apps to share. They make the best extra dirty martini in town, I think Joey makes it the best, but everyone does a good job.. I stopped into Sylvan's after a long drive from NY and dined solo. Just before 6p there were a lot of people waiting for tables. Like others in the restaurant industry, Sylvan's is under- staffed so many tables were vacant despite the many parties waiting. Not wanting to eat in the bar, I waited about 20 minutes for the first available table as was delighted to eat on their patio. Because this is a broader problem, I am not dinging Sylvan's for the wait. Once seated, my drink and food orders came out within a reasonable time frame, and check was processed in a timely manner. The patio is nice, tables well spaced apart, and a pleasant ambience. I lucked out with the weather. My server was Stacie, who was friendly and attentive. And honest. When she gave me the potato options, she told me that the French fries were brought in frozen while the baked and mashed potatoes were made fresh. I ordered the steak tips with mashed potatoes. I ordered my steak medium because, while I prefer medium rare, in my experience ordering out in general (not just Sylvan's) the steak comes undercooked. In this case, the steak tips came out a perfect medium rare, nice and pink and tasty. The potatoes were creamy and well-seasoned, not too buttery. Although there were still parties waiting for tables, I was not rushed to finish at all. If I'm in town again, I would come back. read more

I've been a customer of Sylvan Street Grille for 40 years. I've always enjoyed the food and menu. Had lunch in Salisbury today and ordered the mustard crusted chicken salad. one of my all time favorites. It is supposed to be served with field greens , instead I got a bowl of romaine lettuce. When I expressed my disappointment that I didn't receive the field greens . . Jane came out and told me I was wrong its served with mixed greens. When I tried to tell her the menu does not say mixed greens. and I had the same salad the day before in the Peabody which was served with field greens. Jane was extremely rude and started raising her voice actually telling at me causing a scene. I don't typically write reviews but if I were the owner of this restaurant I would want to know how my employees are treating my customers. It wasn't an enjoyable experience, as a matter of fact it was quite embarrassing. And maybe someone should explain to Jane the difference between field greens and romaine lettuce. read more

I absolutely love when I get to post a positive review, and Sylvan Street Grille never disappoints. I will be honest and tell you that I have a go to favorite and that is the Mustard Crusted Chicken Salad. It is fantastic. The chicken real and fresh, crunchy, golden crust, and juicy and tender inside. You get an entire breast, not a few pieces. The salad consists of greens, papaya, feta, cashews and a spicy chipotle dressing. And this is a large, dinner sized salad. DELICIOUS. Others in the party ordered the steak tips, so good and plentiful, and a blackened chicken sandwich, also devoured. Then for the ending, SSG makes the absolute BEST Bread Pudding. I am not sure how they do it, as I have made bread pudding many times and theirs surpasses all. The best part is they are not outrageously priced. It was a place I had to get to before moving to Florida, and I hope to make it back at least one more time. Sylvan Street if you read this, please open a place in Navarre Florida. read more

Never heard of this place, but found it on google, and we went! the menu is quite extensive and there were a lot of things that looked good! I got the chicken stir fry and it was delicious and a huge portion! I didnt finish it all. They also gave you bread, which was a nice perk. The restaurant is spacious and airy with plenty of light.
