Examples: a chandelier over the tub was mounted to a plastic box sitting directly on ceiling drywall with the cable unsecured along the attic floor; several items required rework, including a custom vanity with an off-center sink cabinet, unlevel countertops, and visibly slanted shelves; the plumbing work had multiple problems and the plumber and his sister were fired. Ther are many, many other things I could mention. The project took over eight months instead of the four promised, with work gaps of days and sometimes weeks. I met with the PM three times to create a timeline, but they fell behind every time. The only reason he gave was schedule conflicts with other jobs. One positive: Guillermo and Jose were responsive and fully guaranteed their work. They made sure I was satisfied with the end product before ending the project.

We had a couple of issues where things weren't done as we expected and, while I don't think Choice was delighted, they did not hesitate to redo those things. The final cost was almost to the dollar what the original estimate was. This was a concern because a remodelling job done a few years ago by a different contractor, went way beyond the initial estimate - about 50% more.
