I received a confirmation email stating a field tech from the Appleton location would be arriving between the hours of 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday. I received 5 different emails informing me I was on the schedule during the week leading up to the scheduled appointment including one 3 hours before my scheduled appointment on Saturday morning. On the day of the appointment I received a phone call from a different Safelite location(Green Bay) informing me my appt. was being cancelled due to a service tech calling in sick. This happened 1-1/2 hours into my scheduled 5 hour window between noon and 5:00p.m. that Saturday. I was then informed I could just drop my vehicle off on Monday at the Appleton location and return to pick it up when finished, which was not an option. I am a Field Service Tech and this replacement was scheduled on my service vehicle. I had to take PTO and rescheduled an appointment for 4 days later at the Appleton facility. The service I received there was great. The gentleman I interacted with was apologetic about the whole rescheduling of my appt. Had I not had PTO for the week of this appointment I would not have had the ability to reschedule this appointment for quite sometime. I am in the business of field service. This is not how this is supposed to work! The short notice cancellation was very unproffesional! Again this is no reflection of the service I received at the facility in Appleton, that was great.

I went through GEICO which is our auto insurance company, clicked a few buttons on the app to find a covered auto-glass shop, and selected the day and time I wanted to go in. Safelite does an incredible amount of business each year with GEICO- making this experience relatively easy. When you arrive at Safelite you pull into their garage, confirm what you need done, and relax in their waiting area with wifi, coffee, and magazines.
