We had been to 3 other places who did not have the size tire we needed for our Scat Pack Charger. The 3 places we checked even tried to find what we needed at a shop in a neighboring town. When they couldn't they recommended us to go here. The 2 guys at the front desk couldn't care less about helping us. They said they had 2 walk ins and didn't even bother trying to see if they had the tires in stock. It was 1:30pm. We left and went to a shop of similar size. We told him about this shop and he chuckled and said he has taken up to 20 walk ins before. Go figure. I'll leave a positive review for the other shops just for making an effort to help us. Coming from Vegas I could imagine that lack of effort, but a small town... very disappointing. I'd give my business to another shop.

I was referred to Garret Tires and Treads by another local business. I was blown away by the entire staff's willingness to help me as I am from out of state. They indicated they may be able to fix it in one day---maybe 2. As I waited, I am terrible with names but the woman who helped me when I called in went out and brought me lunch. Then---as I tried to figure out what I was going to do if my truck was not finished, I walked out of the waiting room and my truck was done. Talk about an incredible answer to prayer. My small old dog quickly became distressed by the heat (panting, lethargic, vomiting) that I was terrified she wouldn't make it home to Chicago. Thank GOD for Lonny and his team! We were taken in quickly and back on the road with an air conditioned car in less than hour! We could bring the car right in to park in their garage until the fluid defrosted; no waiting and they gave me a ride right back to my hotel. Very kind considering nobody knew how long my car would be taking up space in their shop, slowly defrosting. Took a couple hours to defrost and they had to do a bit of problem solving; they also noticed a headlight was out and replaced that too per my request. Wade was fantastic. He called right away after receiving my roadside assistance request and gave me…read morean accurate ETA, which helped ease the stress of being stuck during a long move. When he arrived, he first asked how I was doing, listened to the issue, and immediately got to work troubleshooting. He quickly diagnosed the problem, found the issue, and had me back on the road in no time. I also asked him to check one of my tire straps that had come loose twice during my trip. He took the time to inspect it, explain what was happening, and show me the correct way to secure it so I could avoid the problem going forward. What really stood out was his attitude. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and somehow managed to make roadside assistance feel less like an emergency and more like getting help from a very competent friend who happened to know everything about trailers. Wade turned a stressful situation into a positive experience, and I left feeling much more confident about the rest of my trip. I hope I don't need roadside assistance again anytime soon, but if I do, I hope they send Wade.
