However, the replacement batteries installed in August 2025 began giving me problems in May 2026, less than one year later. Wheelchair batteries are expensive, and replacement batteries should last much longer than that. I have been trying to get information about whether these replacement batteries are covered under warranty, but so far I have not received much cooperation from the clerical staff. I requested a callback on Friday, June 26, regarding my warranty questions. As of Monday morning, I still had not received a return call and had to follow up myself. Before my insurance pays for another battery that may not last even a year, I believe the warranty issue should be fully investigated. I will update this review once the matter is resolved.

Second, on the day that they arrived at my residence to provide the supplies, they double-parked in front of my residence's driveway, which does not belong to me. When I requested that they move, they simply drove directly across the street to then block my neighbor's driveway instead of simply moving a few yards down to park in an available parking spot. Third, they attempted to enter my home with their shoes on until I requested that they removed them. Fourth, when they finally installed the supplies in my bathroom, they intentionally left all of the supplies' debris and garbage. Fifth, the employees then left my front door wide opened upon leaving. Finally, G & L Medical Equipment & Supplies is the epitome of a lackluster company with unprofessional staff!

They will beat all Major chain prices.I have shopped at CVS, Duane Reade the prescriptions are done within 10 minutes in CVS I have to wait an hour for someone to acknowledge me. The pharmacist made time to speak to me about my prescription and then this nice gentleman who works there assisted me with all my other needs in the OTC aile. If only all pharmacies operated like this!!! I also asked them to call my MD for 2 rx and then called got my medication ready for me and delivered it all within a few hours of me asking. Where else do you get this personal attention and care. Anyone who gives this place a negative review either is lying or confused as to what pharmacy involves or how it works. Just an FYI to Zi W your review makes no sense a pharmacist would not tell you hmo only covers part of a script. Since when does an insurance cover part a script. I have been filling meds since I was 18 either insurance covers it fully or they don't cover it. You probably didn't understand clearly or pay attention. Insurance companies are the worst they have 100 representatives who don't know what there doing one rep tells me they will do a vaca override for me and then I get to the pharmacy and no vaca override was ever put through. So clearly you prob got a rep who didn't know what he was doing as there are tons of employees like that around the world. If you all want horrible CVS and Duane reade service where the people don't give a s#$T about you and treat you like number vs a person then don't go here go to CVS. If you want care, attention, great prices then COME TO GRAMERCY DRUGS. I love love love love this place will not shop nor get my RX any other place. read more

Having sprained my ankle a couple of weeks ago, my doctor prescribed a removable walking boot. He wasn't much help in directing me to where I might find one, so I referred to Yelp and Gramercy Drugs Pharmacy in New York, with its positive reviews, seemed like the place to go. Good thing I did! I showed the guy at the store my prescription which said "removable walking boot". He asked my shoe size and went directly to that section of the store. He told me he was out of my size. I told him I could go a half size smaller or larger; he looked at the inventory and pulled a box with a boot and said this will work. He then asked if my ankle was broken or sprain. When I told him it was sprain, he said you need an aircast and not a boot. He brought an aircast out and helped my put it on. Perfect! Not only was this the right support to stabilize my ankle, he saved me $$ because the boot was double the price of the aircast. Kudos to great customer service! read more

I was very pleased with my recent visit to Gramercy Drugs Pharmacy in NYC. I was looking for an ankle brace and I was referred by my Doctor. First of all, I walked into the store and the friendly man--who'd just shown up with his lunch--welcomed me in and stopped what he was doing to help me. They had the exact brace (air cast) I was looking for and he said it was the last one. Without hesitation he proceeded to put it on my ankle to not only make sure it fit, but also to teach me how to put it on. He also offered to make a copy of my prescription and print a duplicate receipt (without me asking) so that I could take care of the expenses with my insurance. He also didn't charge me tax I think because it was a prescription. I highly recommend Gramercy Drugs Pharmacy for any of your medical supply needs and I'll definitely be back if I need anything myself. read more

If you need medical supplies go to Gramercy Drugs Pharmacy. The prices are great but what really sets Gramercy apart from any other medical supply store is the wonderful staff. They are absolutely the most knowledgeable, thoughtful, friendly and professional individual s you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. We know because before stumbling into this Store in Manhattan, NY, we shopped at medical supply stores throughout the city for my mom (limited mobility). Another pharmacy in the area. I've lived in stuy town for 15 years. Why do they keep opening up more pharmacies? Anyway, went in and place was empty. Tons of supplements and non FDA approved 'meds'. Not a great sign. Pharmacist was not very knowledgeable about med interactions. Not even sure if it was the pharmacist as I've read that most white coats r techs or cashiers. Prices r average to high. I like supporting little pharmacies, but my current pharm knows me personally. read more

"My podiatrist was the one who suggested I go to Gramercy Drugs in Manhattan for my orthotic shoe inserts. They make them according to prescription which really helped my back pain. While I was there I got my annual flu vaccine and picked up the sub lingual B12 that I had been looking for. I will be switching all my prescriptions over to there because they have the best prices for the out of pocket generic drugs I need. I am really glad my doctor sent me to Gramercy." read more

"Gramercy Drugs has a full line of diabetic supplies which is important to me. I looked all over the city for special diabetic socks and was able to find them there. The staff including the pharmacists are extremely helpful. They showed me all the latest diabetic testing equipment and I chose the one that was in my budget and was painless. This is a pretty good pharmacy. The employees are very attentive and nice. The medical supplies they have are much better than what you find at the large chains. Any medication that is not in stock can usually be ordered. Any person who claims that this pharmacy is doing insurance fraud clearly has no idea how a pharmacy works or how medical billing operates. He's warm and friendly and remembers you and works with you if there are any issues. The wait is never long. Instead of clearly explaining what was needed from the beginning, I was sent back and forth between the pharmacy, my doctor, and my insurance. Patients shouldn't have to waste their time making repeated trips just to find out what paperwork is actually required. Communication and customer service need major improvement.
