My wife and I visited the Grand Buffet on 05/20/26 around 8:00 PM using two complimentary buffet passes. Unfortunately, our visit became very embarrassing due to how my wife was treated by staff. After being seated, we waited several minutes before our drink order was taken. During dinner, I briefly left for the gaming floor while my wife stayed behind to finish eating. A few minutes later, my wife called me upset because staff members were accusing her of not paying for her meal. When I returned, there were several employees surrounding my wife in front of the entire dining room. The hostess stated she did not recognize me, and the waiter, who had already served us multiple times, initially failed to remember us as well. My wife attempted to show proof of payment on her phone, but it would not load due to network issues. The waiter had also already removed the receipt from our table. After I reminded the waiter of our drink order and details from our service, he finally remembered us and confirmed we had paid. By that point, however, my wife had already been publicly embarrassed while numerous guests watched the situation unfold. We understand mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled was extremely unprofessional and humiliating. We hope this matter is addressed so future guests are not treated similarly. read more

I think this buffet is great. We would go there at least one evening every time we were staying at Winstar and I couldn't wait to get my variety of shrimp on my plate! They have several discounts you can use, and normally the line is not very long to get in. The staff was always very friendly and they catered to my dad who was in his upper 80s. They made a big deal about his birthday and even brought out a piece of cheesecake with a candle in it for him. And the ice cream man always made sure to give him an extra scoop of the strawberry that he loved. Thursday night crab night.....well be prepared for a long line. We even tried to get there early and still had to wait in line for about an hour. It does seem to move fast and whether you are in the higher card level side or the regular side it's still a wait. The crab can be hit or miss plate to plate, but the service there once you get in and at a table is pretty efficient. I'm going to put a plug here and say that the wait staff works hard and I was quite surprised at how many people don't leave anything for them. Be better folks! They're trying to make a living and the worst seem to be the people who get the crab dinner for free...LOL.... [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would say it's definitely busy but once at a table it really doesn't seem too crowded. I didn't feel Iike I was packed in like a sardine as the dining area is spacious and still in good shape[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I'm not one for wasting stomach space for things other than crab, but I did venture a bit and try a few things. I thought the dumplings were pretty good with a very flavorful dipping sauce. They also have prime rib, meat loaf, chicken fried steak which all turned out to be better than average. I thought a pleasant surprise was the stuffed pasta shell on the far end in the Italian area. For sure there are a few things that don't look great, it's a buffet. But if there's someone in the party that won't eat their value in crab, they can certainly make it up in other areas. Recently were there for the brunch. It was really bad. The biscuits were so dry and hard you had to cut them with a knife. The eggs I assume were powdered, they were dry and crumbly, you couldn't keep them on the fork, and tasteless. Bacon was done but didn't have any flavor. The only chicken was dark meat. I (latina) had an uncomfortable experience at this restaurant that I feel is important to share. My boyfriend's family(white) paid for their meal and went to sit down. My boyfriend and I paid separately right behind them. After paying, my boyfriend went to the restroom while I went to sit with the family. Before entering the dining area, an employee stopped me and asked how many people I was with. I explained that my boyfriend and I had just paid and that our family was already seated. I showed the employee my receipt as proof that I paid, but she still would not allow me to go to the table and instead made me call my boyfriend's mom to come to the front to confirm. She continued looking at me as if she didn't believe me, which was very uncomfortable and embarrassing. What made the situation more confusing is that when my boyfriend came in afterward, he was not stopped or questioned at all. I understand that restaurants need to make sure people have paid before entering, but once a customer shows a receipt, there shouldn't be a need to treat them with suspicion or make them prove themselves further. Located at Winstar Casino, paid a visit here after a $52 winning black jack session. Cost of the Sunday Brunch Buffet? After tax and tip? Around $50. So there are two lines to enter this buffet. Pay first, then a greeter will walk you to your booth and take a beverage order. Asked for coffee and OJ and they give you a plate to fill it up with as much as possible. Insider tip for the Brunch Buffet: go straight to the omelette station. There, a cook will customize your omelette (see pic of mine). My omelette had jalapeños, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, spinach, ham and bacon pieces, and some cheese. It was awesome and huge!!! After that, I was close to full but managed a small slice of brisket, one fried chicken thigh, salad with beets, biscuit and some shrimp. By then, I was too full to eat anymore. There were other stations including Chinese food, a huge dessert station and a pancake and waffle station. But with what I ate, I was already good. Went for their Thursday crab legs special and plan to play some table games. This marketing program is not effective. The lines are so long, a 2+ hour standing in line and not playing. After an hour we gave up. To be effective program. We could have check-in with our phone and text us when the table is ready. Spend an hour each way and hour + standing in line. I was at winstar to try the buffet. They had snow crabs available and my family wanted to take advantage of it. The line to enter the buffet starts very early and you'll be waiting for a bit, but we got in pretty fast. The buffet selection is hugeeee, they have Italian, seafood, dessert, Mexican, American, etc. But of course we all got snow crab. I'm a bit inexperienced at opening them but they tasted so good with that butter. They also have chilled lobster claws, which were pretty good too. I tried some of their other food but I understand why people stay away from it. Their icecream here is the second best thing after their snow crab. That butter pecan flavor was NUTS (get it?), the strawberry flavor was so good as well. Giving the buffet a solid 4* as far as casino buffets go. Just dont go in expecting a top fine dining experience. The turkey, pot roast and mashed potatoes were actually really good. Dessert options were overwhelming......several options of cakes and cobblers, as well as ice cream in large waffle cones. Arrived right before 5pm during week so only paid the $21 lunch rate as compared to $26 for dinner. Worth a try if you like variety read more

My wife and I are not usually Buffet people. We have been here twice now and must say it is better than others we had tried. The line this time had zero wait and all the other high end restaurants had 1 hour waits. The food was good and plenty of options to choose from. We both don't care to mix Chinese with Mexican and Italian so we usually pick one and have a nice dessert. I tried the crème brûlée and loved it. I probably would have had to but was already full when I went for it. My wife had the chocolate chip cookie and also said it was great. I always find the reviews of all the restaurants on this property extremely low. I personally would add 1 1/2 to 2 stars to anything you read. Not sure why so many haters. The management at this buffet must be lacking common sense. How is it so difficult is to listen to customers? They complain over and over and nothing is done. So my last visit I ate my entire meal with never getting my drink. I bring it to the staff's attention and I get excuses. Really. I can't believe they expect tips when the only job they have is bring my drink. Why not just put in self service drink machines. Then the BUS BOYS can just do that. Why can't they trim the brisket. The brisket? Sometimes all I get is a slab of fat, no meat. I bring it to the staffs attention and they tell me sorry nothing we can do would you like another piece. NO I don't need hunks of lard. The fruit is located next to cold shrimp which finds its way in the fruit yuck. The fruit is always old and mushy. I understand they like to have special needs folks working but perhaps they may be better suited to washing dishes or something else. A total waste of money! This was our first time eating here. We came around 8:30pm on a Wednesday night, waited in line about 3 minutes. They definitely had a variety of different cuisines to choose from (Mexican, American, Italian, Chinese) and a variety of desserts. Unfortunately for us, ALOT of the food on display looked like it had been sitting there for many hours untouched. My spouse and I choose the food that looked the freshest to us, and sat down at our table. Sadly, every little thing on my plate was lukewarm, not even playing. My spouse said the pot roast was great, but all of his food was also lukewarm, Urggh... I thought everything on my plate tasted good, but it would've been great if it was hot. The dessert options were good... cheesecake, cakes, pudding, ice cream, cobbler, and more. I had a slice of carrot cake, it was somewhat dry, but the flavors and ingredients were on point. The restaurant was very clean, and our server was great, she was so friendly, helpful and happy. She even made us two to-go cups of lemonade without us even asking. It was a nice touch. Overall, the food was ok to us, they had some good options to choose from. I just don't like eating food that's 2 minutes away from being cold. The problem is the food :-( It really does taste as if someone went to Costco or Sam's and bought all the frozen items, then heated them up, and served them on the buffet. The best tasting item I had was the coffee ice cream. The vanilla ice cream tasted "off" and when I inquired about that, I was told that the vanilla ice cream was sugar-free. That explained the off putting taste. I tried everything on my plate and my husband's plate, so I got to taste a wide variety of items (much wider than my pics indicate). The only other food items that were palatable were the salad, catfish and the crime brûlée's - hey, that would make a great restaurant name! The dinner buffet price is currently $25.00 per person and includes non-alcoholic beverages of choice. I'm just happy we had coupons covering our meals. Visiting winstar and decided to eat here. 58 dollars for two not including tip. There are 5 sections of the buffet - Asian, American, Mexican, seafood, and Italian. There is also a dessert bar. I cleaned up on the Italian section. There is no made to order areas like some buffets but there is a carver if you like turkey or roast beef. Overall the food is average and so is the service. We were seated promptly but had to wait for drinks until we were almost done with our first round. The food isn't anything special and is pretty close to the same as your local buffet chain quality. We would not choose this place again simply because there is probably better options in the casino. However, for a buffet I wouldn't say it's bad.... Just mediocre on everything. read more
