We purchased the Spa Couples Package for my husband's birthday. This package included $200 dining credit among other perks. Our first night there we chose to eat at Panda Express and the cashiers told us that we couldn't charge it back to the room. I called the front desk to ask what restaurants we could use this credit for and she said all on premises. I let her know that Panda Express did not honor this and we had to pay it out of pocket. She said that her manager was going to go down and speak with this about this. I never heard anything back regarding a resolution. The Winstar Spa was amazing and by far the best thing about this casino resort. The staff was professional and the amenities were the best. We don't care much for smoking casinos, but we made the most of it. We frequent Choctaw (Durant) more often since the Sky Tower is a non smoking casino. I did not like the size of the pool for the guests and think that guests should be able to use the other pool for free or at least a lower rate. read more

When my dad was getting up in age and unable to go to Las Vegas any longer, we started making trips in the car to Winstar. It's not Las Vegas, but it is a great substitute! We learned not to show up at check in time because the lines can get a little long. We would go during the week when we had that option because it's way less crowded. Once you get a Winstar card, they send you all kinds of deals to save money and to use for gambling. For some reason, my dad was the only one that would receive a postcard in the mail for a free gift, so we would always get in line and claim that! The crowd is a little bit older and in some ways I really enjoyed that. I love their slot machines and they do offer free soft drinks and coffee while you are gambling. You're not allowed to take drinks onto the casino floor so be sure to have some available in your room. One great benefit for older folks is that they have free wheelchairs available at most of the entrances. You just pick one up on your way in and can use it for your stay, then just leave it at the door when you leave. And if there aren't any available, the staff is usually very helpful in finding one for you. It's really nice not having to load up a wheelchair in a vehicle when you make a trip to Winstar. And if you prefer a scooter, there are several companies that will deliver it right to the hotel. We tried several of the restaurants in the casino and our favorite was the fish and chips. They have quite a variety of food places throughout the casino. They also have a large variety of slot machines, from the newest to the oldest. And their casino is huge and very nicely decorated, especially the newer parts. I'm looking forward to my next trip there! read more

The big screens, lights, sound affects, good seats, and the greatest (my opinion) Texas Band playing all their greatest hits. What more could a fan want. Terrible Experience - Completely Ruined My Stay by Veronica G. I wish I could give it a 0 stars. I actually wanted to extend my stay because I had been enjoying my experience at WinStar Hotel. Earlier that day, the front desk told me to come back in the evening because they were busy and someone would help me then. When I returned, Veronica G. Was there and refused to listen to a single word I said. Every response was simply "NO!" She showed absolutely no professionalism, respect, or willingness to help. Instead of letting me explain that another employee had asked me to come back later, she immediately called security for no legitimate reason. Ironically, the security officers were willing to listen and actually tried to understand what had happened. However, despite hearing my side, Veronica G. refused to reconsider or allow any resolution, and I was ultimately escorted out of the hotel over a simple request to extend my reservation. One employee's rude, hostile, and unprofessional behavior completely ruined what had otherwise been a great stay. I sincerely hope management reviews this incident carefully, because no guest should ever be treated this way. read more

A massive casino on the border of Texas and Oklahoma! Took a road trip with my in laws. Hotel was fully booked so we didn't stay there but we visited for 2 days. It's a very unique "world concept" as it is the biggest casino in the U.S. each section of the casino is designed as a different country or state. There's an "Italy section", an "Asia" section with beautiful "diamond" like dragons hanging down in one of the many table gambling areas. They have so many restaurants from casual ambiance to high end experiences. We had a great time exploring and gambling briefly. We will definitely be returning to explore and experience more of the amenities like the pools, spa, gym etc! Highly, highly recommend if you're in the area. FYI there isn't much else to do in the vicinity but there's plenty to see and do inside the casino itself. read more

Ok, the Casino is great! However...I went to the bar and ordered an old fashioned cocktail and was asked what kind of whiskey I preferred to which I said whatever is good. Well, was I in for a surprise when the bartender said it was$25.00! I almost gasped. I'm not in Las Vegas and the cocktail was served in a tiny PLASTIC cup with two ice cubes. I normally don't have any issues with Winstar and love coming but this time my Winstar experience was not good at all. This was my first time getting a Cabana and had been in the Cabana ALL day and find out it was supposed to had been stocked. I went to the bar to make a complaint and had to wait 45 mins to an hour for a manager to come and once he did he said the only thing he can do is offer me some sodas or an appetizer. The freaking cabana was $107 . What will sodas or an appetizer do after the fact? Also we sat our towels outside the door from bathing and no replacement towels were put back in the room. Another thing, check in was slow. I was the only person in line and there was like about 6 front desk clerks (looked to be in their 20s) just standing and talking and not one of them acknowledged me standing there until the older clerks came from the back. read more

If I were to rate the casino on my winnings, it would be low. Since I am not rating it on my winnings, our experience was great. We always stop at the front to sew if we have any perks or promotions. We found that we had 10.00 free play. The casino is always enjoyable for us with many machines and some of our favorite games like roulette and blackjack. I never imagined I would leave WinStar with such a traumatic experience. What was supposed to be a fun and relaxing visit turned into one of the most upsetting experiences I've ever had. During my stay, I experienced a situation where I did not feel safe, protected, or properly supported after being sexually assaulted on the property. As a woman, safety should never feel optional at a resort and casino of this size. I was overwhelmed, emotional, and vulnerable, and I truly hoped the staff and security team would handle the situation with more care, urgency, and compassion. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and deeply shaken. This experience has affected me emotionally far beyond the night itself. It has made me anxious about traveling and trusting environments that are supposed to provide security for their guests. I believe WinStar has the ability and responsibility to improve how situations involving guest safety and trauma are handled, especially for women who may already feel vulnerable coming forward. I am writing this not out of anger, but out of disappointment and hope that no other guest has to leave feeling the way I did. I truly hope management takes concerns like this seriously, reviews their security and response procedures, and reaches out in an effort to make things right. Accountability, compassion, and genuine care for guest safety would go a long way. I had a wonderful time at this location. It was a little bit of a drive, but the scenery was relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and set up nicely and oh my God the food was absolutely delicious. We went up and spent 1 night at their W hotel. Said check in was 4 we got there at 3 and weree able to get in our room which we appreciated. Room was very clean and had everything we'd read they would have. AC worked great so did the TV. Was nice to be close to the casino floor. We enjoyed the terrace pool, was a weekday so wasn't very crowded. Lots of restaurant choices. Know we'll do this again. The parking lot is big so suggest if you have many bags to take in have someone drop you off at the hotel door before parking the car or use the valet service. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxing, and the wait staff kept things running smoothly. It's a great spot for a fun day trip outside the DFW area, and we'd definitely recommend it. The Matt Rife comedy show is what brought me to Winstar Casino. It is pretty much the only thing off this exit. The casino is HUGE. The world's largest. It has so many slot machines, tables, and sectioned out from smoking to non-smoking, which I appreciated. I like that there were self-serve soda fountains instead of having to wait for a server to come by. There was a wide range of machines available to play. Unfortunately, I did not win anything, but I never really do at casinos. I ate at the Gran Via buffet inside. I made it in just before 5 pm when the dinner service started, so I was able to pay lunch prices and got an additional $4 off for having a Winstar players card. It didn't even come with breakfast. The bed wasn't all that comfortable. The shower was lovely. But then I went to the buffet something I've been looking forward to forever. I live in Austin, where smoking is banned indoors. WinStar is the nastiest place I've set foot into in recent memory. The entire place - even the non-smoking section - reeks of cigarette smoke. Even the hotel stinks of it. They should tear this place down and build a new one, and not allow smoking at all. Winstar has come a long way since its early days as a tent flapping in the breeze, crammed full of slot machines and sweaty gamblers. Now they boast being the world's largest casino, hosting performances by famous names and offering numerous dining options as well as lots and lots more casino games. Like every other casino, the house has an edge on all games (some more than others of course). But unlike every other casino, they require an ante on table games here which guarantees a payment for themselves regardless of who wins. The themed areas like Rome, New York, London, etc. are not only aesthetically pleasing but useful as well. As long as you remember what "city" you need to be in (ex. to meet people or where your car is parked) then you won't get too lost. As always they provide free non-alcoholic drinks at stations throughout the casino. All alcohol must be purchased, but the prices at the bar aren't terribly expensive. After a recent trip to Shreveport I have a new appreciation for this place. Here they have done a much better job with the upkeep of everything from the machines to the tables and chairs and even the bathrooms, resulting in a nicer environment overall. Best of luck! read more
