I mean it's a chinese buffet. Went out of conscience with a bunch of family, but was pretty mid as expected. There was a hibachi station where you could choose meats like thin beef, chicken, and pork, along with veggies, spices, and sauces. It was nice since i wanted to get my protein up without all the oil lol. Now I don't know if the meats are very fresh, but the station was cold so that's good. The hot foods I had were also pretty good and warm for buffet. My favorite was the pan fried dumplings, but again not the best obviously. In regards to the sushi, I didn't even wanna touch the raw nigiri for my own safety; salmon had no visible fat lines, and tuna didn't look appetizing at all, almost grey. I got some pieces of the rolls, unagi, and inari and those were actually better than i expected. The rolls are pretty close to tokyo one in plano, or osaka in addison. The inari was nice and sweet, but the unagi was kind of just getting carried by the sauce lol. Service wasn't the best, got one refill the entire time, and was fasting that day. The place is decently clean and nothing to really complain about there. Overall for a big easy family outing, not bad, but would not eat here again myself read more

We went it as a party of four (with a 3 and 6 year old) and paid $70 for lunch buffet. And the food was awful! Sushi didn't taste right. The cottage cheese was spoiled and almost made me throw up on the table after I take a big bite. The noodles and dumplings lacked good flavor. Everything was pretty nasty. I come here to eat all the seafood I can eat. Clams, shrimp, soft shell crab, crawfish and some baby octopus looking things. It all tasted good to me. My favorites are the shrimp and clams. Very flavorful. I also enjoy their egg drop soup. Friendly service except for The guy working at the Mongolian station. He doesn't talk or smile. Parking lot can get pretty full but there are still a lot of seatings in the restaurant. I believe Saturday night is probably one of their most busiest time of the week so be prepare to wait for a table. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but I have to warn people about this place. They are extremely overpriced compared to other buffets I've been to and the food is not great quality. The Sesame Chicken was soggy and the Sweet and Sour Chicken was dry. When the non-Asian food is more edible than the Asian food, you have messed up somewhere. The only upside was our server was very attentive and polite, and the decor was nice looking. This is what happens when you go somewhere new instead of your usual buffet. my husband and me went to eat there. The donuts were all hard. I asked an employee to get some fresh donuts because the ones on the buffet were all hard. So he said he was going to let them know but they never brought any fresh donuts. Thirty minutes later I told another employee about the donuts and he said the kitchen is closed and I told him I had been waiting for thirty minutes and that it's not right for them to be serving hard donuts. If you are familiar with buffets in this area, especially Chinese buffets, then set your expectations accordingly. But in my mind, this one exceeded all others of the same type. The food quality, freshness and taste were all far above comparable buffets. It wasn't cheap as in, a cheap place to eat, but it could be considered a high value depending on your tastes and how much you eat. The kids loved the large dessert area. Adults liked the variety and again, quality of the food. It isn't in the same category of a normal 5 star sit down restaurant, so remember what kind of restaurant this is. We will never eat here again. Food was so dry we couldn't even choke it down. The lady checking us out peeked in our box of to go food. Apparently we had 7 shrimp in the box which is now considered a mix plate for an up charge, so they weighed the plate at a higher cost due to the shrimp, which is located within all the dishes. Just dreadful. Sushi was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. My son kept wanting to leave as he felt that the food was unsafe to eat. We were really looking forward to the Mongolian grill section but it was just as bad. Greasy and flavorless, with a lack of vegetables, plus the shaved meats were not frozen like at other Mongolian BBQ places, (unappetizing at best) which made us question how fresh it was. my wife has a documented medical condition that restricts her food intake and carries a card from her doctor that says she cannot consume an adult entree. To night she presented the card to the server who took it to the manager who refused to accept the card. She finally requested a menu and ordered from there so she could take the remainder home. My friends are from Africa the continent we were coming to eat for Easter to this establishment we asked the lady at the front desk we would like to all pay separate because we are separate family's when we were done they tried to over charge us for drinks, tips and extra meals. Now I am a educated professional person so I know when someone is doing me wrong the manager was very extremely rude and didn't want to separate the receipts for us now of it was chilis Applebees or another American restaurant they would have understood the assignment, she kept over charging us and giving us higher receipts finally she gave everyone individual receipts and said twice to us " We don't except you black people here". This is exactly why I don't give some of these Chinese restaurants my hard earned money racism should never be accepted under any circumstances no matter how stressful a job can be. You were trying to get over on us and it didn't work it was very highly disrespectful and we will not be eating here. Ever again. The food was not even that good. And I will spread the word since you said "You people" well is Us people that won't eat here and I will spread the word. My son likes buffets so I read up the reviews on this one. I agree completely the establishment is kept very clean. For that reason alone I will come back. The selection is like 4 of 5 to me - most of the standard items are there but the addition of the Mongolian grill is really great. I would rate the taste 2.5. I found most the food fairly bland - i.e. the Mei Fun, fried rice, egg drop soup, spare ribs - all of which I tried. The crab ragoons were very good - slightly sweet, which is the style I personally prefer. The dessert cakes were fairly good. They have a chocolate fountain if you're into that. (I call them the 'fountain of bacteria' myself - not a slight on this establishment, just the chocolate fountains themselves). The ice cream was a letdown unfortunately. Tastes like the mix is watered down. Might just be 'low fat' or something. A lot to 'digest' in this review! But overall if a buffet is desired, King Buffet is a place I would suggest, but I would advise it's a good 'what you'd normally expect from a buffet' place. read more

Alright let's get started. First off you have to understand that this is a buffet... An Asian buffet. Get your expectations aligned with that. Now if that's what you're looking for and you enjoy Asian buffets in general, then I think you will really like this specific one. On Fridays and Saturdays they have crab night where they serve boiled snow crab. It's a bit of a football game to get your hands on it but once you do it is well worth it - very tasty and meaty. The other dishes are very standard for Asian buffets -- they all seem to have the same ingredients from buffet to buffet but at this specific restaurant all the dishes are always fresh. We've not seen a stale dish to date but it's important to know we come here on Fridays and Saturdays when it's packedso the dishes don't have time to get stale before they're eaten. outside of the Chinese food section there is a sushi section which is actually pretty darn good for buffet sushi and a Mongolian section which is good for Mongolian at a buffet but still noticeably worse then at a dedicated Mongolian restaurant. There's a very good variation desserts including a chocolate fountain. Side note that chocolate is very rich. We visited just about every buffet in the north Texas area and this one pretty much tops the list. There might be a better one out there that we haven't gone to but of the common ones that most people will see driving around the city this is the one we'll be coming back to. read more
