Front Desk Staff keeps to themselves. There is a self check in that's very convenient to use. Rudy, the Occupational Therapy Tech was punctal about taking me back to the therapy room. Also, the Restrooms are clean. I believe, I saw Christian Decor and they have a toilet paper dispenser that dispenses just enough toilet paper to wipe. Sydney my Occupational Therapist was professional, enthusiastic and personable. She seemed to really like her job and care about me. She was patient with all my questions. The other staff members are nice and supportive too. I was able to participate in neat little activities that help support my grip with my hand. The other patients were friendly too. I gained my strength back in my hand. Iam able to make a fist now. Overall, I made progress and the Therapy was a success. My grip strength is stronger than my left hand!

I was assigned to Mr. Patrick Kimball, Certified Hand Therapist, who proceeded to make a custom cast that I can remove when I shower. I cannot provide enough superlatives to describe Mr. Kimball's process and end product. He was understanding, efficient, and extremely professional. It took Mr. Kimball less than an hour to create my cast and answer all of my questions. I would highly recommend FWPT and Mr. Kimball for all of your hand needs.

Dr Minor would not prescribe anything for pain instead I got a steroid hip injection that did not help! had to see Lonestar ortho for my back pain to get pain meds. The worst thing I experienced was them filing my insurance incorrectly. I had to call Medicare and BCBS and coordinate benefits myself then after BCBS paid the bill TOA were claiming I still owe them $1035 and would not schedule my surgery! I offered to do a 3 way call with their billing office to verify it's been paid and that they need to contact the local BCBS office. TOA didn't have it posted and until it is TOA will not do my extremely painful hip replacement surgery. It's been 2 weeks that the bill has been paid and not one phone call from them! I decided to go to Lonestar Ortho in Burleson and they scheduled my surgery a week later. Lonestar was going to schedule it July 17th but I stressed to them my pain level and issues with TOA so they scheduled me July 3rd. The only reason I went back to TOA was because I had a great experience with Dr Papaliodis for my shoulder replacement 3 yrs ago. The 2 PTs were both wonderful except it seems they forgot that I have a torn knee also and yet they started me every time on a cycle despite the knee. We got to the point to try Deep tissue laser therapy. They told me it was $50 per treatment. For both sessions I was put in a room with a whole list of prices and there on the list was a package price for 4 laser sessions. When I brought payment after the second session I told the lady I was going to buy the 4 pack. She had no idea what I was talking about. She was going to research and let me know the next time. The list price was NOT honored, manager said that list was supposed to be for another area that they ended up not opening but she still would not honor the price even tho it was posted in 2 different treatmen rooms. I told her I would expect them to honor it and she kept saying it was wrong and never would agree to the package price THAT THEY HAVE POSTED IN TREATMENT ROOMS. It was their mistake and it should have been honored. I cancelled the rest of my PT sessions and left. A few days later I asked my chiropractor about the same therapy and he said he had the same thing in his office. Sure we could do it! His cost? $15 per session compared to Ratner's $50 per session and no package price. So basically they are there to rip people off and have zero integrity when faced with their mistakes. To be generous, perhaps they do not have the expertise to diagnose psoriatic arthritis, but bringing records of my history were ignored. Career-related, have had cortisone injections many times. This residual pain will not go away because it is now nerve damage. Have found good care elsewhere and now seeing a Reumatologist for psoriatic arthritis.. medication should help and my new Orthopedist has prescribed p/t stressing surgery will make this worse and not better. "Don't let anyone suggest surgery." In requesting records, the TxH&K doctor did call back and he is sorry. No suggestion of p/t and I do not take prescription pain killers. For colder days have used a cane or a walker sporatically. Hoping I am not totally dependent on walking aids moving forward. Additional X-rays at my current Orthopedist indicate both knees are the same in terms of moderate arthritis.. clearly nerve damage to my left knee.. Whether their staff has medical training I do not know.
