My car needed to be towed this past weekend and K and K was the first towing company I called because they seemed to have a good rating. When I called them the first time I immediately got someone on the phone (which was a good sign.) I told them exactly where I was and where I needed my car to be towed to, and they gave me a decent quote. I told the dispatcher to give me 5 minutes and I'll call them back. I called them back 8 minutes later, and he picked up again, and I agreed to everything. I even asked them about payment options and if I have to pay before they arrive (so they know I'm serious). They said payment will be collected upon the tow truck's arrival. I said, ok, cool. Mind you, I'm paying out of pocket. Not through my insurance or some middle man company. I also asked them for an Estimated Arrival Time, and they told me it would be about 30-45 minutes. I said, that's totally fine. I'll be right here waiting. Just out of curiosity, I decided to call them back 40 minutes later to get an update on the ETA, and no one picked up. I texted the number, no one replied. I called again, no one picked up. So I left a voicemail. I called again, no one picked up. No one showed up either. I called this company a total of 8 times and sent two text messages and I got totally ignored when I had already agreed to everything and just needed an update on the ETA. If they were no longer able to make it, all they could have done is just call me back and let me know, instead of ghosting me. I couldn't believe a legit business would act like this. Anyway, after getting sick and tired of waiting, I decided to call a few other towing companies in the area. Most of them were disappointing (drivers not available, won't give me a straight quote, etc)... but at least they didn't ignore my calls or leave me hanging. I ended up using Stay Strapped Towing company because he was the only one that kept his word and came through for me. This is what I get for looking for low price auto repair work.Leaving updated review. What I thought was going be a positive experience. Turned out negative. March 3rd at around 6:45am, He replaced a fuel pump module , within an hour . Afterwards I drove car around the block to test out the new pump. March 4th , less than 24 hours , I took a trip to Walmart which was less than 10 miles from my home. The car initially drove okay but then it started to acted up, car shut off while turning and would go into neutral. After parking the car , car would not crank up properly and would shut off. I turned the car off and back on to try and reset it, did not work. I called the mechanic at 1:35pm in a panic , asked him what to do and if he could come back to look at his work, that the car was driving fairly fine and after the pump was installed new issues. I wanted him out o recheck his work, I also smelled something burning.( I had to get the car towed to my home , it would not drive! It would not go into gear ) He agreed that later that day he would come by to check at around 9:30pm, and that he would charge $50 for a diagnostic to see if anything else popped up . He did not come at all, and did not contact me to let me know he was not coming. The next day I had to Call , as he did not contact me back or acknowledge the message , he did not answer , I left a voicemail with concerns. He randomly text me to ask if 5pm would work to check. I replied that 5:30pm would work, he never responded at all or clarified how to remedy the situation. Please be aware of this mechanic and his customer service . It would have been better to say you are unfamiliar with the vehicle before doing unsatisfactory work. I am not left with a disabled vehicle ! Please choose wisely when trying to find a deal!
