This shop is awesome! I needed to get the fault code for my vehicle's check engine light and they disgnosed the code and topped up my car on wiper fluid without my asking! They didn't even charge me for the service. The front desk manager was super nice as well. If I ever have any car issues, I will definitely come back here! The price for the service was $175 and they were finsihed within about 3 hours. The most recent occasion was replacement of a stolen cat converter which involved some negotiation with my insurance company. This type of situation I'm sure is nothing but a headache to any repair shop (insurance inspection is bare bones and specifies the cheapest parts available for minimal labor hours.) I've been going here for the past three years whenever I need anything. I called up to ask if they could do a brake inspection and he said that their oil changes all come with free inspections, and the oil change is a lot cheaper. I'm about to do a cross country trip, so I was happy to take them up on the oil change. The inspection they do during a regular service like this is thorough and fantastic, you can tell they care about cars. I know enough about cars to know that the upsells that they tried to sell were actually reasonable for my car's history. I declined the optional work as it isn't necessary at the moment. I am thankful for their concern about preventative maintenance however, and I've never felt pressured by them to do unnecessary service like I've encountered at places like Firestone. After the change I was happy to chat with Bobby about my trip I'm taking in my Miata and cars in general. I received a call at 9:28am stating my vehicle had been diagnosed. I also received an email copy of the report. I was also informed at that time how much it would cost. I never thought I'd see the day that I would be singing the praises of an auto repair shop, but here we are. I brought my Land Rover in after my check engine light came on (throwing a long list of codes) and failed emissions. I accidentally ended up at Georgetown Auto Service after the Land Rover dealership couldn't get me in for several weeks. I now thank God for that. I am certain that the dealership's inability to get me in saved me several thousand dollars and countless return trips to the dealership to resolve the issue. Georgetown Auto got me in quickly and identified and resolved the problem in 2.5 days (most of the time was spent waiting for parts, which were overnighted). They stayed in contact with me throughout the process and called with prices before doing any additional testing or repairs. Land Rovers are unfortunately well known for their maintenance and unusual repair issues, so Georgetown Auto consulted with a Land Rover engineer to ensure the issue was resolved. It ended up being an electrical issue and a random part that rarely goes bad in most vehicles, but is a unique problem with my year and model. Prior to my appointment, I mistakenly read horror stories about the cost of repairs for Land Rovers experiencing similar problems as mine, but I am extremely happy to report that my total bill with this shop was significantly lower than I expected. You just have at least very unscrupulous mechanic working for you that managed to scratched up my car and hid the truth from me and perhaps you. It's not at all impossible to think that someone could have slipped away and came back with enough paint to cover a 3' x 6' scratch, done under the radar that it left find brush strokes, which at first completely perplexed me, then baffled me and finally really made me feel taken advantage of. read more

We had work done to a BMW a number of times and finally found this shop. They are fantastic. Bobby was so helpful and fast. We had the car towed there and he was so backed up but took us anyway. Told it would be a week or more to even look at the car but he ran the diagnostic test the same day it was dropped off within two days we got the car back. Honest, knowledgeable, and generally nice! Will come back here again! The dealer wanted to charge me $850 for replacing a purge valve. Googled what is a purge valve and saw it was around $100. So decided to find another place. The next person told me $400 plus parts then told me the part was $200. Know that was a lie so googled another place. Georgetown Auto Service (Bobby) told me it max $210 labor and around $100 for the part. The part price was consistent with what I was seeing online so I know he was honest so went in for the repair. Dropped off my car at around 8 am and got the call to say it was ready around 1 pm. Collect around 4 pm......super fast service! Again...will come back for any repairs! I had a pleasant experience at this shop a few weeks ago. It had been raining often and I found out my car was flooding inside, I called them and they said I could come right away. So I had my brakes changed here less than a year ago. It went fine and I was happy. Fast forward to October 2019, I receive an email stating that my car is due for service and that my brakes are in the red danger zone. Then i receive a text message saying the same thing, So I respond to the text and schedule an appt for Saturday. Mind you I have moved about an hour away since my last service, but considering they were good the first time and were Lexus certified, I decided it was worth the trip back. I arrive there at 9am as told. Once i arrive the younger guy, Michael asked how he could help, i told him that I had an appt and that i received an email about my brakes being due for replacement. He finds my info on his computer, then says "we never emailed you." I was taken back by the accusatory tone, but Luckily in this digital age I can pull up an email from my phone, which I did and showed him. He doesn't apologize for basically calling me a liar and says that they charge a $110 inspection fee that will be deducted from the total cost of the repair. I ask him the price of the brakes and he says "you said they told you the price right?" I then told him that i was told $200 and he said "well then that is the price." That snarky comment annoyed the hell out of me but i just agreed and walked across the street to starbucks to read while they replaced my brake pads. I then get a call saying that the brakes are in good condition and that no service is needed. I was surprised but then i ask "that's great but then why did you guys send me an email and text saying i needed my brakes serviced." He responds with "we did not send you an email." Mind you, this is after i already showed him that they did and he agreed. So i walk over and show him the email again, to which he says that it was the old database that is sending these emails......... okay? He then says it was $110 but he would give me a discount for the mistake. I say okay, and when he gives me the "new" discounted total it's $110. At that point I couldn't take any more of his blatant disrespect, so i just pay the man and walk out to avoid any further issues. I am not sure why this guys was acting so ridiculous, but he is a horrible representative for the company, and he cost the shop a customer because I will NEVER come back for service here again. There are far too many mechanics that are closer to my new home that would kindly take my money and at least do it without insulting me and lying. read more

Find another place to take your car if you don't want your time wasted. We had an appointment for 9:30 am for a simple oil change and when we got there they told us there was no mechanic. No mechanic at all was going to be in all day. They guy at the front desk even confirmed that we were slotted for the oil change but that no one had called us because no one realized a mechanic wasn't going to be in. What kind of business is run like this? Their whole operation is car mechanics yet they take appointments, don't have mechanics, and don't bother to call to cancel the appointment. These guys are really unprofessional and unpredictable. Don't waste your time and money here. In response to the company's comment. I would look for a different place to take your car. Sure the front desk guys seem honest and the prices seem good, but their mechanic(s) are careless and should not be trusted with your car. Most of their pristine reviews are from years ago when it seems like they may have had different mechanics. Now the owner is rarely there and their operations very clearly reflect it. Concerning Bobby's comment below: I'm happy to send you the invoice that I have clearly showing you guys performed the work as I retain all service records for all my cars(particularly my Z4). Also, the fact that you don't remember that one of your mechanics backed into my car with another patron's car is evidence enough that you're really dropping the ball on not only managing your mechanics, but on customer service as well. I have lived in the area since 2009 without a vehicle, but in 2020 I got a used car (from another family member). I asked a local friend (whose husband is a mechanic in the area) for a recommendation on where to take my car for service and her husband recommended this place. I have only had to take it in twice so far (once for replacement fluids and brake pads, and once for my check engine light) and both times I was super happy with the service. I never feel "taken for a ride" as far as recommended service work and I never feel over charged. They only do exactly what's needed and don't try to sell me on other repairs or charge me for work that isn't needed.
