Well much to my surprise I get a call from a very nice gentleman the very next morning and he was eager to see me that day but I told him it would take me a couple of days as I needed to arrange transportation. He texted me the address and I made the arrangements for transportation for today. While the area in my opinion may not be the greatest, the staff was fantastic and the wait time was very brief and the CT scan was very quick and I was out of there and on my way home. Mixed bag experience…read more The building only does valet, not something radiology can control, but nonetheless, I wanted to park my own car. Huge parking lot, valet only. Im sorry but I am there because of a car accident and I want to park my own car. Anyway, front desk man. Not super compassionate or friendly, but there wasnt anything wrong about our exchange. He was all business. Thats fine. My technician was wonderful and kind and helpful and talked me through the whole thing. The scanning itself was totally fine. The scan room itself is very very very cold. So if you are allowed to wear clothing when you go in, definitely dress warm. Make sure you don't have any metal in whatever you wear, and definitely wear lots of clothes. The checkout lady left something to be desired as well. Again, not super personal. And I was extra surprised when she handed me a CD of my images. Legitimate CD. Like we were back in 1995. And I asked... Will my doctor be able to look at these? I don't know anyone who owns a CD player. And she smirked and basically with a bunch of attitude was like "of course he will." Of course I arrive at my doctor less than an hour later and hand them the CD, and he laughs and basically says the same thing that I did... What is this, 1995? I don't have a CD reader. This office is looking for the absolute cheapest way to get people their images because they dont care as long as they keep costs down, am I right? I understand about the CD being $.10 because it's a jurassic technology. But would it really be that much harder for them to go buy a bunch of one dollar USB readers to give to patients with our images? It was a completely wasted appointment with my doctor because we were supposed to analyze the results, results we couldn't see because this place gave me my images on Jurassic technology. So now my doctor has to sit around and wait until he can get the images some other way. Which is now delaying my treatment, which is extending the period of time that I am in pain since we can't treat whatever is wrong with me since we cant see the images to see whats wrong. So my opinion is... If you're looking to actually get treatment and to relieve yourself of your pains, I wouldn't go here because no one is going to be able to read the results. Cheapskate place can't even spend one dollar on a USB card.

My 90 year old father needed an MRI and because he has a pacemaker, it's more complicated to get an…read moreappointment (because the facility needs to have an MRI machine that the pacemaker is compatible with). Initially, the imaging facility my dad's doctor suggested told me they would need to have someone get back to me about the pacemaker and that I could expect a call within 24/48 hours. When they didn't call, I called back and had to speak to several people (all of whom seemed capable of answering the question unlike the first call but I was disconnected twice before the third call each time having to start over). After more than hour on the phone, the third person finally told me that they did not have an imaging machine compatible with my dad's pacemaker. This whole process ended up delaying the MRI for my dad for more than 1 week. The day I got Westside Medical Imaging's number, I called and spoke to Dolly. She was polite, informative and responsive. Within an hour she confirmed that they had a compatible machine and they could see my dad 2 days later. She emailed the paperwork to fill out so my dad's time could be minimized. When we got there, the front desk personnel (which included Dolly) were very kind and helpful. They also had arranged to have a technician from the pacemaker company available to put my dad's pacemaker in the MRI mode. The same person was there to set the pacemaker back after my dad was done. Bobby, the imaging tech, was incredibly patient, kind and helpful. He expressed genuine interest in my dad and gently helped him get to the machine. Despite there being 3 separate studies, the whole process was completed in less time than was predicted. I was able to get my dad back to the house earlier than expected. This experience stood in stark contrast to an experience my wife had with a different imaging facility just the day before. I am very grateful to Westside Medical Imaging and would highly recommend them to anyone.

UMIH OF CENTURY CITY:…read more Unfortunately, I have had the need for multiple MRI's, an ultrasound and a mammogram all within the past year alone. Fortunately, I found UMIH of Century City! I realize there are multiple UMIH locations in Los Angeles County to choose from, and I am not here to say that the other UMIH locations are bad. (plus, I've only been to one other UMIH location). What I am here to say is that UMIH Century City is in a class of their own! It was necessary for me to go to them, (instead of the UMIH location closer to my home), because they had the ability to perform an ultrasound and a mammogram ~ in addition to MRI's ~ of which I needed both. My slight annoyance (from having to drive further) and my general anxiety surrounding such things... started to disappear almost instantly when I was genuinely & warmly greeted by the front desk staff, Reina & Leslie. True gems who epitomized the perfect balance between welcoming & professional!! My MRI Tech, Soheila, was a continuation of the warm, kind and professional excellence of the front desk staff, plus she brought it up a notch with her seasoned skills, knowledge and her ability to get clear images by helping me feel as calm & comfortable as possible! One of my MRI's required a dye contrast to be injected into my vein half way through my total time in the machine. I barely felt anything when Soheila did this... a true pro!!! Long story long, I would drive across town in LA traffic, past multiple UMIH locations for UMIH, Century City for the staff alone!! You have choices when it comes to your health, including which MRI & Imaging facility you can ask for. I highly, HIGHLY recommend UMIH of Century City for all your imaging needs!!!!!

From the moment he opened the door to the waiting room, his kindness and professionalism calmed any nerves that I had. He was very communicative and answered all my questions with ease. We even shared a few chuckles. I don't hope to ever need an MRI again, but if I do, I hope he's my tech. The procedure m: The MRI took about 45 mins with a pause for them to add contrast through an IV. The IV was inserted before I was slid into the machine. The machine is loud and rhythmic. They have ear plugs but I brought my own. It's also a chilly process so dress warmly. Don't wear makeup or metal. I recommended this spot for your MRI needs. :)

We came here with my dad after a previous MRI experience that ended like a deleted scene from a disaster movie. He's a big fellow. The last MRI machine swallowed him halfway, panicked, and basically said "nah". They had to call the fire department to extract him like a shipwreck survivor. I wish I were exaggerating. I am not. Enter Dynamic Upright MRI: calm, professional, spotless, and mercifully not shaped like a medieval torture tube. The staff didn't flinch. No sirens. No jaws of life. No tranquilizer darts. Just competence, confidence, and vibes that said, "Relax, we do this all the time." The office is conveniently located off Wilshire Boulevard with actual off-street parking--a rare Los Angeles miracle on par with seeing a unicorn parallel park. From start to finish, the service was top-notch. Friendly, efficient, reassuring, and shockingly drama-free given the circumstances. They treated my dad with dignity, humor, and professionalism--no side-eye, no awkwardness, and absolutely zero zoo referrals. Dr. Goldman was demeaning, extremely rude, didn't even clean my cut after a biopsy that was bleeding a ton after he cut it! Wow, one of the worst bedside manners I have ever witnessed...and on top of that, is too lazy to even bother and tell me the results of the biopsy, just bills for it!

Recently went back to schedule another quick touch-up and was told I'd need to pay a $250 consultation fee (that doesn't apply to the procedure) because too much time had passed and I'm now considered a "new patient." I was also told this was due to "new ownership," which seems to be the go-to excuse. It's disappointing to see loyal, returning clients treated as brand new, especially when I've supported and recommended this place from the start. Policies change, but respect for long-term customers shouldn't.
