I was taken into a small dressing room where I was asked to undress and put on a hospital gown and to wait into some came to get me. A nice named Daniel came to get me and I took me into the MRI room. I was laid down on a sliding table and rested my head on a formed headed rest and then was locked in by the neck piece that covered the front part of my neck that secured to the back the headrest not going to lie that scared me a bit. I was thinking about natural disasters and being stuck in the massive machine as I was being slid down into the MRI machine. The machine was loud so I'm glad I was given the earplugs and asked for the towel to cover my eyes. I just sat there all thought of what shitty year 2017 was... lol I laid with my hands to my side and tried not to move at all, unfortunately the towel slid a bit and I was able to peek that my machine was literally a inch from my face, I quickly shut my eyes again and tried to forget what I just saw. I was doing my mediation breathing exercises to chill from the loud machine noises and before I knew it I was being slid back out into brightness again and was happy to see my MRI tech. I was in the machine for 30 mins according to my tech. He complimented me on how still and chill I was compared to many other patients he deals with. I was given a CD-ROM with the MRI image to give my doctor on the next appointment. I'm tempted to look at it myself on my computer but wouldn't know what the heck I'm looking for! Overall, I had a good experience here.

I don't normally write reviews, but after the experience my family and I had at Medical Imaging of…read moreSouthern California, I felt compelled to share our story. couple of weeks ago, I started experiencing some pain in my groin area. My primary care physician ordered a urine test and an AFP blood test. To my complete shock, the AFP results came back elevated. My doctor called me into his office and explained that the blood work showed signs that could be consistent with cancer. Hearing those words was one of the most frightening moments of my life. I consider myself a healthy person with no significant medical history, so this came completely out of nowhere. My wife and I were devastated. Like any parent, my first thoughts were about my two young children. I couldn't stop thinking, "What if I have cancer? What if I won't be here to watch my kids grow up?" My doctor referred me to a urologist, but the earliest appointment we could get was August 5th. To us, that felt like an eternity. Every day waiting was filled with anxiety, fear, and countless sleepless nights. My wife spent an entire Friday calling every urologist and imaging center she could find. We even decided we would pay out of pocket if necessary because we simply couldn't wait. Most places couldn't fit us in or weren't willing to help. Then she called Medical Imaging of Southern California on Wilshire Boulevard. From the very first phone call, everything changed. After hearing our situation, the staff immediately understood the urgency and compassionately found a way to fit me in that very same day. That simple act of kindness meant more to us than words can express. When I arrived, everyone already knew my situation and treated me with genuine care and empathy. There was no feeling of being "just another patient." They made me feel like a person whose fears truly mattered. I especially want to recognize Carla, the ultrasound technologist. She was absolutely incredible. Throughout the entire examination, she remained calm, professional, gentle, and incredibly compassionate. She understood how scared I was and constantly reassured me that I was in good hands. She explained each step of the process, answered my questions with patience, and treated me with kindness that I'll never forget. Healthcare needs more people like Carla. Once my scans were completed, they didn't make me wait days wondering about the results. They were immediately reviewed by Dr. Jabour, who personally met with me afterward. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Jabour. He took the time to carefully review every image with me, explain exactly what he was seeing, and answer every question my wife and I had. He never rushed us. He spoke with confidence, compassion, and honesty. Instead of simply reading a report, he educated us, reassured us, and made sure we understood everything. His calm demeanor, extensive knowledge, and genuine concern immediately put us at ease. By the time we left his office, the fear that had consumed our family for days had been replaced with hope and tremendous relief. It felt like a thousand-pound weight had been lifted off our shoulders. Medical Imaging of Southern California didn't just perform an ultrasound. They changed our lives. They reminded us what healthcare is supposed to be: compassionate, patient-centered, professional, and truly caring. To Dr. Jabour, Carla, and every member of your amazing staff, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for treating us with dignity, kindness, and compassion during one of the scariest moments of our lives. Thank you for taking our concerns seriously and acting so quickly. Most importantly, thank you for giving my family peace of mind and allowing us to smile again. We will never forget what you did for us, and our family will always be grateful. If I could give Medical Imaging of Southern California more than five stars, I absolutely would. They have earned my highest recommendation without hesitation.

But they did get me in for a last minute exam.

If you've ever wondered what true medical heroism looks like, it's the fine people at Dynamic Upright MRI on Wilshire Boulevard. We came here with my dad after a previous MRI experience that ended like a deleted scene from a disaster movie. He's a big fellow. The last MRI machine swallowed him halfway, panicked, and basically said "nah". They had to call the fire department to extract him like a shipwreck survivor. I wish I were exaggerating. I am not. Enter Dynamic Upright MRI: calm, professional, spotless, and mercifully not shaped like a medieval torture tube. The staff didn't flinch. No sirens. No jaws of life. No tranquilizer darts. Just competence, confidence, and vibes that said, "Relax, we do this all the time." The office is conveniently located off Wilshire Boulevard with actual off-street parking--a rare Los Angeles miracle on par with seeing a unicorn parallel park. From start to finish, the service was top-notch. Friendly, efficient, reassuring, and shockingly drama-free given the circumstances. They treated my dad with dignity, humor, and professionalism--no side-eye, no awkwardness, and absolutely zero zoo referrals. If you want an MRI experience that doesn't end with emergency responders, viral footage, or a call to Animal Control--this is the place. Dynamic Upright MRI didn't just scan my dad. They restored my faith in modern medicine. And they kept us out of the zoo.
