Wow just wow!!!! What a wonderful first time being to the Grand Canyon for the three of us!! Very very memorable for sure!!! Alex and Corry both were absolutely wonderful! Alex we did Antelope canyon, horseshoe bend even some other bonuses. So absolutely wonderful and so worth the tour! Alex was great telling us all kinds of details and tidbits. Was attentive to all of us! Lunch was stupendous with plenty of snacks water and soda if you prefer. We did bring extra 3 waters which we could refill with the cooler of just water they had. Corry we had the following day for the Grand Canyon and several extras as well. He was also very detailed and kept us from crowded areas to make sure we had great views for Grand Canyon! He even had a telescope too attach to his phone to show us rafters and kayakers in the waters of the Colorado. The gift shop they both took is to was absolutely great!! Lunch was spot on yet again. We did bring our water bottles that were insulated to keep water cold. The difference of heat and winds was crazy but tolerable and Corry had van open and ready when we got back! Took a trip to antelope canyon and horseshoe bend with them. Rocky made the trip fun and very informative throughout the whole trip. Learned a lot about AZ Flagstaff the Navajo reservation. He always kept us informed of our itinerary and kept us on schedule without feeling rushed and allowing us to enjoy our journey. We even had a picnic style lunch. Plenty to go around. Our tour guide, Sam, was a wealth of knowledge.... Geology, hiking trails, national parks, river rafting, night sky and the list goes on. Our first stop was Antelope Canyon / Lower Slot Canyon. Once we descended into the canyon, we were in awe and took pictures at every turn. Our Navajo tour guide, Eli, shared the history of the canyon as we walked through the canyon. Highly recommend visiting during low season (January/February) to enjoy Mother Nature creation. Next stop was Horseshoe bend followed by lunch at Glen Canyon Dam. Via "Get Your Guide" on-line, I purchased a tour for my 17 year old niece and I on the "From Flagstaff: Grand Canyon National Park Tour." I have hiked the Grand Canyon myself over the years, but post Covid and entering into the busy summer months, I was not certain I wanted to deal with traffic, parking and the idea of how to I maximize the experience of the Grand Canyon in one day for my niece. I was seeking more of a "show and tell" tour versus a "hiking and athletic" tour. Janelle was the guide for our tour. She drives and teaches at the same time. There were 11 people on our tour. The max for this tour would be 12. Although my niece and I are fit, I did not expect this to be an athletic based tour and it was not. After the 1.5 or so hours drive from Flagstaff, we made several stops along the south rim after entering from the south entrance, including the Village (where we had 45 minutes or so to do as we wished), Market Plaza (where we were provided a lovely little sandwich/pasta salad/fruit lunch served on a real plate with a real fork!...I was expecting something in a box and uneventful and this lunch presentation was a real nice touch!), Grandview Trailhead, Lipan Point and Desert View Watchtower. We then departed out the East entrance to the Grand Canyon and headed to Cameron for a quick stop at the trading post on the Navajo Reservation before heading back to Flagstaff. We were back in Flagstaff around 5pm. With a 8:15am start from Flagstaff, I felt like we were ahead of the touristy crowds by just enough to be able to enjoy the splendor and beauty without the chaos. At each stop, you could walk around, stretch your legs and have 15-30 minutes to explore on your own. My niece and I tried to hustle around and move a lot at each stop, but if that is not your speed, you could go get ice cream, sit or enjoy the views and the gift shops. There were people of all ages and abilities on our tour. Restrooms were pointed out to us and made available often. Janelle was great. An outdoor and Grand Canyon enthusiast, she provided interesting information in a way that for those listening enjoyed and if you don't like the listening part of tours like this, she was chill and OK with that. She interacted with the people on the tour and was friendly, fun and informative. Her personality is a good fit for this tour. She had snacks, drinks and water available at anytime throughout the day. No hiking shoes necessary. Just good practice to have on sunscreen and a hat at the very least. You can leave things on the van when you are at stops, for Janelle locks it up. There is no restroom on the van. From the easy on-line booking to the welcoming spirit of the Grand Canyon Adventures staff, I enjoyed this tour very much and it was a great way to see the Grand Canyon in one day. read more

Fantastic tour! The pickup at our hotel was on time, and our guide Jason was great. He is knowledgeable, personable, and really dove into all sorts of amazing facts about Flagstaff, the Colorado plateau, and the Canyon. He customized the trip based on a super clear understanding of routes into the Canyon and the weather. The trip itself happened to be on a sparkling day and the Canyon was beautiful. Jason made sure we saw the Watchtower and learned about its importance in the area. Lunch and snacks were provided and they were simple but great. And Jason made sure we were on time and kept to our schedule without feeling rushed. Jason also told us other ways we can enjoy the Canyon including hikes, rafting trips, and mule rides. In the end it is a hole in the ground, but the most beautiful,spectacular, peaceful, and amazingly gorgeous views. Worth the whole drive the time and taking a day everything well worth it. Also, when busy season can be up to 2 hours to get through the gate. Buses go just about everywhere so hope on the they go by color run every 15 so you can pick a color and adventure and go. We were on the south side the north was closed due to water. Bring water bottles and hats and sun screen can refill bottles restrooms were around. Was a wonderful day. I just want to say my tour on the 26th was amazing! Our tour guide Darby was certainly a 10 out of 10. Every time we were in the bus driving from one point to another she was talking about some awesome fact, be it about the natives, the area we were driving through, or the grand canyon (and never ramble or repeated herself). For a tour that spent a lot of time driving from one point to another, that's pretty awesome. She knew the places to go and when to go to help keep us in front of the crowd as well. My wife and I took about a 9.5 hour tour with Grand Canyon Adventures from Flagstaff to Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon dam & Antelope Canyon. Ryan was our guide and he was fantastic in every way. Knowledgeable, personable, helpful etc. etc. etc. All aces. The destinations were all amazing and well worth the time and effort. They provided a water bottle with unlimited refills and snacks on the bus. They also provided a sandwich picnic lunch at the dam. The van was comfortable and we had plenty of clean restroom breaks along the way. We departed at 8:00 am and got back at about 5:30 pm, just in time for a great dinner at Josephines, recommended by Ryan. First of all, words and photos cannot begin to describe the grandeur of the Grand Canyon... all 277 miles of it. Drove into Flagstaff on a whim, and booked a tour with GCA for the following day. Our guide was John, and he was incredibly knowledgeable, especially on very esoteric points of geology. I've got some homework to do now after having discussed the strange "missing" billion years of rock in the canyon... the "Great Unconformity." Very, very interesting stuff. read more

Where do I start to express my thoughts about Grand Canyon Adventures...we had such a memorable experience! They picked us up at our Hotel in a comfortable, spotlessly clean van. The trip to the Grand Canyon would not have been the same without our extraordinary guide, Curtis. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the area, the indigenous peoples and of course the Grand Canyon itself. He expressed himself in a way that made us want to take in every word. He took us to 6 different locations pointing about the differences in rock layers and formations. He brought a telescope so we could see everything in great detail. We booked a tour through Viator for a Grand Canyon Day tour from Sedona. The van said Arizona Tour Travel so I'm not sure how it's listed but it's the way to go. It took about 11 hours but it was well worth it. Ed was our driver/tour guide and he was fantastic. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel and they provided lunch and the entrance to the canyons was all included in the price so you don't have to worry with any of that. They took their time getting us up there and we had ample bathroom stops on the way up and back and I was really impressed that on the way back we had already stopped for our bathroom break and were probably 40 minutes from Sedona and one of the travelers had some stomach distress and Ed graciously stopped at the first place he could so that they could take care of their problem and didn't make a fuss so as to embarrass them. He was so kind and solicitous for what could have been a really embarrassing situation. I could not recommend him enough. He was knowledgeable and kept the tour light, fun and educational. We stopped on the way up at the Sunset Crater Volcano Lava Flow and at the Wupatki National Monument and stopped in the Navajo Nation at the Cameron Trading Post to shop and for lunch. We had probably 6 - 8 stops at overlooks inside the Grand Canyon and had the opportunity to see the trifecta of wildlife; elk, mule deer and feral horses! I would highly recommend this tour as you get to sit back and relax and let someone else do the driving. You can literally sleep if you want to. I can't recommend this tour enough. Ultimate best adventure tour group I've been to so far! I booked the adventure including both Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend from Flagstaff. You can book this tour if you're staying in Sedona, but limited dates available. So we decided to drive out to Flagstaff and meet/park at their tour office. If you're staying in a local hotel in Flagstaff they can do pick-ups there also. Our main tour guide and driver was Marcia, and she is definitely one of the best tour guides out there! So knowledgeable about all the area, culture, and whatever else you can think of! You will definitely not get bored while on the bus rides. If you're looking for an educational/informational tour of the area book with Marcia! And if you're worried about bathroom breaks on the long drives and tours; there are pit stops we do make and Marcia will sure accommodate other stops. Our first stop was to Horseshoe Bend and that was absolutely beautiful! The trek out there was fairly short, but lots of sandy hills to get there! But trust me, it's worth it! You get ample to take in the scenery and take pictures if needed. After this part of the tour, we headed over to Glen Canyon Dam for our lunch picnic. We were provided with our choice of sandwiches, pasta salad, and unlimited drinks and snacks/chips. Second stop was to Lower Antelope Canyon. We were connected with a local Navajo tour guide just for trek through Antelope Canyon named Kyrin. This part was to say ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. It was such a surreal experience and completely stunning! Without a doubt, the best place I've actually experienced. Warning there are some pretty steep areas with ladders and staircases and such narrow spaces/walkways, but totally worth it! Tour was definitely worth every penny and if I was ever in the area again, I would book another tour with Grand Canyon Adventures! read more

We visited Sedona on Saturday May 5th and on May 6th we drove to Flagstaff to begin our day with Grand Canyon Adventures for a fun filled day. Our trip was to visit Horseshoe Bend & Antelope Canyon.. I'm not a fan of road trips.. Luckily my husband decided not to tell me it was such a long day in a van. :) Well, to my surprise it was one of the most FABULOUS days ever!! Our tour guide Brad was a blast!! Informative, funny and so accommodating! Restroom breaks, (he knew the best of the best places) so knowledgeable and shared lots of fascinating details. Each visit was more amazing than the previous!! Antelope Canyon should be on everyone's bucket list!! It was such a fantastic experience, made that much better by such a wonderful tour company. All I can say is: holy moly. My family along with three other people went on a tour around Lower Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and parts of the Navajo conservation with tour guide Matt. Matt was an extremely knowledgeable man. I don't think there was anything he did not know about what he was doing. His words came so naturally and everything flowed. The stories he told us, the scenery he pointed out, everything just came at the right time. Even at times where I was falling asleep because of the long drives, his commentary would make me internally regret falling asleep. All of this really does show his level of skill at his work and his dedication into his career. Matt, aside from being extremely smart at his job, was also very helpful doing things he didn't even need to do. He took our camera and helped us take family photos. He helped a lady out who was suffering from a heat stroke. He bought more ice to support the group. He told us how to get around to different places from Flagstaff. There were probably even more things I didn't even notice that he did to help us. For that, I thank him. Aside from the tour guide, the experience was very well worth the price. We drove around in a well-ventilated white minivan. Food was provided for free (they offered bagged snacks such as chips and pretzels) and lunch (aside from the sandwiches) also came with a pasta salad and fruit. During the travels, I never felt hungry (despite the trip almost totaling ten hours). My tourmates were very kind and made the entire trip feel great. It got to the point where I could easily trust every one of them. They even went out of their way to take photos for us. If you need an introduction to the canyons of Arizona, this is the place to go. The commentary is like the topping on a cake. Everything just works in this tour guide. I would recommend buying tickets for the tour. * Just a heads-up: the Lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend tour doesn't have you exploring the Grand Canyon openly. It's more of a drive here, look and walk around (limited exploration), take pictures, and be navigated by a Navajo tour guide. If you want very free open exploration, this is not for you. read more

WOW! I was phenomenally impressed by the service provided from GCA. From the booking to pick up to drop off. Nothing but high praise for GCA. Especially our guide Maggie. She was so professional, patient, knowledgeable, experienced. She came to our hotel, picked up most of our group, made sure we had everything ready to go, the best part about it it's that it was a small group, about ten of us which made the experience much more intimate. Maggie provided snacks, soda, bottle water so need to bring any of that and the lunch was perfect for the occasion. Picnic sandwiches by the side of the canyon, truly amazing. She fed my mind with so much info that I thought I was back in school but me being a outdoor enthusiast and avid history buff, I didn't mind the new knowledge. She took us to the major points of the Canyon, since me and my family did the South rim tour. Speaking of, she was also patient with my elderly mother who has knee problems and was slow with the walking but she took her into consideration and would drop us off as close as she could to the points. I highly recommend this service, you can go to the park on your own and try to figure out the points the canyon has to offer.
