When the info was given to us, she was more worried about money. She held a interac fob in front of us like it was a dog toy. We were given options of surgery for our dog. It was going to cost just about $5000 with only a 50/50 chance of survival. She made it seem like they were the only vets that could do this surgery. Unless we went to the states to get it done. Then she held the interac fob in our faces. Then "Dr Crystal" told us that the other option was to put the dog down with a cost of $500 plus the cost of cremation. Then she continued to hold the interac fob in front of us. She made it seem like it was all about money. And not the health and surgery for our dog. They wouldn't even budge on the cost of surgery. "Dr. Crystal" forced us into putting our dog down. Our family dog. I'll never take or support this veterinarian or pet hospital again. Even after we put the dog down we were asked to see our dog one last time. After about 30 seconds...there was "Dr. Crystal" with her interac fob. Just waiting to get paid. It was disgusting on there attitudes and service. Totally disgusted with "Dr. Crystal". You should be ashamed.

Then when he gets sick (the first and only time so far) and needs to be seen urgently (like same day or the next day) the lady on the phone refused to give him an appointment for 3 weeks because it wasn't an urgent nature. I said "are you kidding me? If shitting blood is t urgent, what is???" Why do they call themselves a "hospital" then? She said that the prebooked surgeries were more important. I was so pissed off!!! Our dog was very sick - and they refused to see him in his time of need. Arrow Lakes can pound sand! . NEVER again would I take an animal to Arrow Lakes Veterinary Hospital. Never again!

We have taken our animals to this vet various times over the last 5 years. We have had no problems…read moreuntil now. My poor dog has a broken tooth that is surely infected. The vet that looked at her and barely opened her mouth to see the tooth. We went there to get some antibiotics/pain medicine and an appointment to take care of the tooth. The vet gave our dog a rabies shot. No antibiotics or medicine. They charged $80 for the rabies shot and the 2 min "free exam". I guess we did not qualify for their free dental exam. I phoned them today to see what happened and to get an appointment for the tooth. I was hoping maybe they could fax a prescription for antibiotics to our pharmacy. They were very rude to me and belittled my girlfriend. They told me that my girlfriend was "stoned" and was being loud. (My girlfriend has RA and other disabilities that require her to take tons of medicines. So if you don't look right, have money, or look sick, they will judge you and treat you like a leper) After they complained about my girlfriend they gave me a quote for $800 for the x-rays and extraction. We will surely never go back here!

Nice large clean rooms, friendly staff, 70 horses to ride and tons of other activities. During our stay we rode horses daily, explored an old cave, swam in the near by lake, fed baby animals including an orphan fawn, archery, trap shooting, nightly camp fires, Fishing in the creek, and helped round up the horses in the morning/evening with Kathy. There was even more to do. Food was served family style and staff was helpful. Hospitality was incredible, we WILL be returning next year. Town of Republic is close and cute..also has an amazing fossil dig site called Stonerose, we spent two days digging for cool fossils. Long drive was well worth it and we had fun driving up highway 21...with the extra bonus of taking the free ferry! Our eight year old cried for thirty minutes after we left, it was hands down the best trip/experience we have had.

I called the emergency number, and lucky for me, Dr. Rust was on-call that evening. I had difficulty getting my dog's bleeding to stop. Dr. Rust gave me instructions to care for my dog until I could get to the clinic. I live approx 1.5 hours away from the clinic but I felt like Dr. Rust was right by my dog's side the entire time. Dr. Rust has the experience to care for animals in critical emergent situations (with successful outcomes) and to manage your pets health overall health (vaccinations, wellness checks)‍‍‍

Never having been here before my first impression was that it was a very tidy, well kept, spacious clinic. We showed up with no appointment but the staff worked us in and we were seen immediately. It turned out that my girl had a serious infection raging inside her and needed hospitalization. After meeting Fallon and hearing her plan of action and going over our options I had no doubt that she would be well cared for and that Miley would have her best chance if she stayed with Fallon, as opposed to us trying to treat her at home. Unfortunately my girl didn't make it through the night but I really can't thank Fallon enough for sacrificing her weekend to care for my baby. We received regular updates on her condition and i truly feel that Fallon did all she could for Miley with the resources available to her. Her care, compassion, and professionalism to Miley, myself, and my husband will forever be appreciated.
