Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, but I don't think I'd stay here again. First of all, I loved the views of the Amalfi Coast this hotel provides, especially from the top floor lookout. Wow! There is also air conditioning available in rooms and the pool was quite large. The service is also good and the breakfast is of good quality too.
The room I had was rather basic. Although spacious, it felt dated. The TV in my room was not working - but I did not need to use it anyways since I was hardly in my room due to my stay here being the result of a business trip. Speaking of the room, my biggest complaint is that this hotel is too much of a maze. When I first got here and off the elevator, it took me a few minutes to find my room. I often took a lot of wrong turns and didn't know where I was. Another complaint I have is their wake up call system. The phone's ring volume is not loud enough to wake a deep sleeper up. Thankfully, I was not in a deep sleep at the time the phone rang, but this makes me think about someone who might have an early flight to catch. Also, the wake up call came 10 minutes late and upon picking up, calm, soothing music played. The music is not a complaint, it was a pleasant wake up vibe, it's the delay that really got on my nerves.
Next time I'm in the area, I'm going to choose a different hotel to stay at because this hotel is not located in a good area of the Amalfi Coast in terms of location. There's nothing wrong with where it's located, it's very safe and quiet - it's just that it's far from the city centre of Sorrento, and there is no way you can walk there from this hotel.
Stay here if you wish, but I'll steer clear. read more
