The pernil was honestly some of the best I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot of pernil because it's one of my favorite foods. It was incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection. Even the skin was delicious and packed with flavor. I'm usually not a fan of vegetables mixed into rice since a lot of restaurants use frozen veggies, and I prefer fresh ones. But the rice was so good that I could have eaten it by itself. It was a thicker long-grain rice, not sticky at all, and it paired perfectly with the pernil. The empanadas were amazing too. Next time I'll have to get there earlier because they sell out pretty fast. I even made sure to save some leftovers for the next day because I was already craving it.
