    Steak Special

Today, a normal day, October 27th, I wanted to visit this place because I'm new to the neighborhood and I truly regret it, I would never return. The entrance took 40 minutes to come out, they didn't have any more tables than us at 7 at night, and my entrance arrived with a burnt and salty steak. My daughter ordered a pasta that didn't have a bad tasting sauce. They really don't know how to cook a steak and the waiter doesn't care or ask you why you left all the food. Something must be wrong, but definitely no, bad food and bad service. I WILL NEVER RETURN.

We went out to dinner with the in-laws and we chose the Sage restaurant. I called ahead and reserved a table for six. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated. There was a large private party, which added to the atmosphere. We requested a couple appetizers and the waiter informed us that they do not serve alcohol. My father-in-law is a wine snob and he requires wine to be served to him when he goes out to dinner. Luckily, Sage allows you to bring your own bottle and they don't even charge a corking fee. In a strange twist of events, we had two bottles of wine sitting in our trunk. So I ran out to the car and brought them in. My father-in-laws frown turned upside down. Since I had eaten earlier, I wasn't really hungry. So I requested creme brule cheesecake for dinner and I picked from everyones' plates. My father-in-law's veal was rich and wonderfully flavorful. The service was fast and very friendly and I'd definitely visit this restaurant again.

Came here for a birthday. We had a party of seven and they were able to accommodate us at a nice long table. The place doesn't look much like it from the outside but it's nice in the inside and more spacious than it appears. Service was good but a little slow. They also didn't pour the wine for us which I don't like. We had the Thai calamari, which was really good. Then we had the burrata appetizer, which was very small and not as creamy as I normally like burrata. I had one of the chicken specials and it was really good then had chocolate lava cake. It was just all right. It wasn't warm. I would go back and give it another try if I was in the area area.

Sage is located on a somewhat busy avenue with a strip mall. Parking is spread out around the building. Not much to look at from the outside, but expansive, yet cozy on the inside. The manager and staff are very friendly & accommodating. BYOB. The menu is a good size with many Italian dish choices. Portions are normal to large. There is also a Daily Special menu. So many choices that sounded delicious and diverse. THE FOOD--Apps Although I really wanted the Pomeray Shrimp ( sauteed in shallots, port wine, and stone ground mustard) , I went with a simple Burrata cheese salad. Burrata being a style of a Mozzarella ball that is creamy as soon as you break into it served with fresh tomatoes and thinly sliced prosciutto over a bed of mixed greens and sprinkled in olive oil. It wasnt the best Burrata I've ever had but all the components of this salad were fresh & very good. Refreshing. THE FOOD--Entrees One of the Specials we had was excellent; a pasta dish named Tuscan Ragu: Beef short ribs and pork shoulder slow cooked in tomato sauce and served over fresh rigatoni pasta. Topped with cool ricotta cheese and shredded aged provolone cheese. SO GOOD! I had the Salmon Griglia, made of white wine sauce with portobello mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil and capers. Another well put together meal. I usually never order farm raised salmon ( we must assume here at $32 and the fact the menu didn't claim it was Wild. Still good although a little salty, but that could be a one time thing. We usually skip dessert but when we found out they had homemade mocha bread pudding with ice cream, we split a serving. Another great choice served with some good old American coffee.

OUTSTANDING!!! If…read moreyou like authentic Italian food and not the sauce heavy oil laden foods most local places make then try this place!!! We grabbed a table on a Saturday night we were immediately impressed by the amazing smells upon entering . I spent my summers in Italy growing up and this place took me back . Our wonderful waitress and over and left some bread and oil while we looked at the menu. We agreed upon the califlower as an app . Hubby had the eggplant parm and I did the pasta with shrimp and broccoli . We also got a side of broccoli rabe, the meals also came with a nice side salad . The portions are a realistic smaller size and delicious. Unbelievably so! Fresh and great quality olive oil is used you can taste the difference. We were going to splurge and get dessert but they only had chocolate cake or ice cream so we declined . It is a byob. We honestly already said we will be going again next week! Please do yourself a favor and visit!

The service was lovely--our waiter was kind, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal. We started with the fried artichoke hearts (a must!), burrata, calamari, mozzarella sticks, and the zucchini and eggplant chips--LORDY, those were insanely good. Every appetizer was better than the last. The main dishes were just as impressive. The chicken parm was crispy and flavorful, the gnocchi was melt-in-your-mouth perfect, and the sole francese was delicate and delicious. We were passing plates around the table because no one could decide which dish was their favorite! It's BYOB, which made it feel even more relaxed and special. Total hidden gem--we'll definitely be back!!!!

The menu isn't massive, but they cover every category with extreme precision and do it really well. Seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, and all the classic appetizers you can think of from stuffed artichokes, zucchini blossoms, and house-made burrata. The ambiance is old-school Italian in the best way: timeless, romantic, and cozy. It works just as well for an intimate date night as it does for a small group dinner. Bonus points for being BYOB. We ordered the veal marsala and the seafood pomodoro. The veal was pounded to perfection and swimming in a ridiculously addictive sauce. The seafood pasta was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh shrimp, clams, and mussels and you can taste the quality and care put in the food. Meals are served with a salad to start, and you can expect to spend around $35 per entrée, which feels more than fair for the quality. We were genuinely impressed and were treated with a lot of attention throughout the meal. The concept of the restaurant being run by two italian twins was honestly so sweet. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic Italian done right without trekking into the city.

Was not disappointed at all, first off 50 bucks for 4 people, where can you go and spend 50 bucks for 4 people? I spent 33 bucks at Wendy's the other day for me and my kid. So 50 bucks for 4 people for 3 courses in awesome! We got the ceasar salad, which was good and they gave us plenty of dressing and didn't skimp on the croutons or cheese. Next was rigatoni with oil and garlic and I gotta say I don't know what they did to the roasted garlic but it was amazing, like I was picking all the little pieces out of the pan it was so good. Then we got the sausage and peppers and if that wasn't enough they threw in meatballs with it as well. There was more than enough food for the 4 of us and we are big eaters. The sauce was so good and that fact that we eating at home I could soak up all the sauce in my bread without fear of being stared at by other patrons. We plan on ordering again and plan on going to dine in as well, the place looked newly remodeled and was quite cute inside. 5 out of 5!

I felt a little like Ray Liotta in "Goodfellas". The service was excellent and our waiter rattled off an extensive list of daily specials and they all sounded wonderful. We settled on burrata and a fried vegetable appetizer. The burrata was good but the fried thing was even better. I wish I could remember what it was because it was so good. I guess that's what I get for writing my reviews 2 months later. It was some kind of vegetable stuffed with cheese, battered and fried. It wasn't too oily and all the flavors and textures went well together. For our entrees we went with linguini in clam sauce and cavatelli, broccoli rabe, & sausage. The linguini was a solid plate of pasta. Linguini, clams, sauce. It tasted exactly how you expect it would and the pasta was cooked well. The cavatelli was much more interesting to me. The different textures and flavors really made it a joy to eat. The pasta was al dente while some of the sausage had some crispy bits to it. And the broccoli rabe kind of made me feeling like I was eating somewhat healthy The ambiance was nice if not a little dated. Not bad though, it was cozy. I'd come back, but not too often. It's pricey.
