Finally....I got to visit Juany's Cafe. In the past, on weekends, they were filled to the gills with long wait times. I appreciated how tables were not close to each other and the service was exemplary. I appreciated how, before anything was served, they served a small cup of fresh cut fruit for the table. I've never seen that in any other cafe. My mug of coffee was HUGE, 16 oz, and it was one of the best "regular" coffees I've ever had. Not only was the mug large, but refills were frequently accommodated throughout the meal. Our entrees were: Breakfast Sandwich (Ham, egg, American Cheese, on a toasted brioche bun) and the Mexican Breakfast Burrito (Scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, avocado, chipotle aioli, black truffle sauce, pepper jack cheese, accompanied with a side salad). Both were VERY GOOD, filling, and perfectly seasoned. I really enjoyed the saltiness of the chorizo (sausage) mixing with the starch of the potatoes. Juany's will be added to my top breakfast options and is recommended.

Good local Latin kitchen. One of the best dishes was the ceviche. The dishes we had were all good yet would have preferred not having by our accompaniment bowl in our main course plate. Just a small detail. The interiors lacked character and it seemed seating was very sparse. Service was ok. Surprised to see our server so casually dressed in sweats. They were nice just not engaged which did not add in elevating the experience and certainly an opportunity. Not a date night spot. All in all, flavorful Latin food with room for improvement.

My clients wanted this spot for lunch. The order was made online. When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked in and was greeted. My food was ready and I left. I ordered the shrimp tacos and it was very good! I loved the sauce and the rice it came with! All in all I had a good experience!

Chicken enchiladas!!! Wow

Been going since they opened and to this day I still get surprised with their brunch menu specials on the weekend. My faviorite ceviche. I've used them for catering my events and even used their location for small Family events.

Complimentary fruit cups. Yes, please!

Cute, quaint restaurant. Food was good but the hospitality was on point. Very accommodating and sweet. We had the breakfast sandwich, French toast, hangover breakfast burrito and the Latin Queen breakfast. Each meal had a big portion. Keep in mind that they will charge an up charge of $2.99 if you split a meal and gratuity for parties over 4. They also provide bottled water versus tap water so you are charged for each bottle of water.

Very good brunch. Came here 2pm on a Saturday. They close at 3 and then reopen for dinner on Saturday, I didn't realize but because we got the breakfasts the ice tea was $2 off which was good. The homemade hibiscus ice tea was amazing. The flavor was so good and it was not too sweet. They put strawberries in it which was a nice touch. And also gave us complimentary fruit cups!! The food was super high quality. The Mexican breakfast dish I got was delicious. The beans were amazing, the chorizo had a great flavor and was not spicy. Loved the grilled cheese and the tortillas they provide. Also had slices of avocado and I got scrambled eggs. My husband got the shrimp tacos which had a spicy sauce on it that he loves. And my friend got the hue is rancheros and also like it. The waitress was super nice. I love that they have outdoor tables. It's a very casual and comfortable environment. One downside is they don't have tap water. So you need to buy a bottle of water for 2.25 or one of the other drinks.

Latin steak and eggs 10/10. Huevos Rancheros 10/10

I've been coming to Juany's for a while, and my family members are there biweekly. Their food is top-notch and never disappoints. The service is always excellent--even if you show up on a random Sunday after 11, they go above and beyond to ensure your meal is hot, fresh, and served with the best hospitality. I'd love to keep this place a secret, but I can't be that selfish! Our food was outstanding, and the coffee was amazing. This is the kind of spot where you'll want to eat your way through the entire menu. Tips make sure you are there early or make a reservation.

Baby shower was a total success because Juany's food, staff and ambiance was amazing!

Juany's came highly recommended by a friend over a year ago, but I was finally able to visit a few months ago, and have been back with friends and family and the latest time being when I didn't even realize what I wanted for breakfast, until I passed right by and circled back around to park... it was the perfect morning to sit out on the patio and enjoy the very filling breakfast tacos... Starting with a bowl of fruit to whet the appetite, and finishing with a hot raspberry tea to refresh the palate. Add a side of beans, and my tummy was satisfied! I also very much appreciate the variety of delicious gluten-free options being clearly marked on the menu. It truly makes for a pleasant ordering and eating experience! My third time at Juany's but not my last by any means!

The positive: The food is always delicious when we eat at Juany's. If you live anywhere around Fair Lawn and haven't been here for a Latin style brunch, you are definitely missing out. The staff are all very nice, especially who I'm guessing is the owner's wife. The portions are decent and come out pretty quickly. I've never had a bad meal here. It's also BYOB, think mimosas or bloody marys. The constructive criticism: the interior has been recently updated and it looks great, however, there are a few things that need to be hung up, frames straightened, etc... it just needs the final finishing touches. Maybe have some music playing too. The add-ons: The unsweetened green tea mojito was delicious. Would I go back: definitely

Do they have gift cards?

Sorry, no idea. Try calling them (551) 224-8030 (early they close after lunch).

What's the wait like on weekends?

Hi Alina! To the best of my recollection Juany's only has 10 to 15 tables. We arrived somewhere between 11AM or 12 on a rainy Sunday. I'm sure the wait varies but we were seated as soon as we walked in. There were about five other tables occupied.

We ask if they have outdoor seating and they tell us they do, then they proceed to seat us in an area with windows and ceiling! And right next to a large and very loud Bridal shower (that would have been nice to know, we would have asked to be seated as far away as humanly possible.) Then we sit for 30 solid minutes without a peep from ANYONE. Then suddenly a confused looking young lady steps up and informs us "no one told her we were here." Guess that's OUR problem? Placed a drink order and another 20 minutes passes when I am informed it is no longer on tap. Drinks finally arrive, the "Craftsman IPA" is flat and "off" tasting. White wine was warm as if it was sitting in the sun. Food was not much better sadly. The Calamari was flavorless and tough - apparently someone forgot the Asian drizzle that was supposed to go on it. It was also that "fake" calamari where every piece is exactly the same size and shape. The "stuffed" meatballs were stuffed - with air! Literally nothing but a hole in the middle. The artichoke and crab dip had a strong fishy taste, it was so bad I feared it was tainted. To their credit they took it off the bill, eventually. And from the moment our drinks arrived earlier,, our server never once checked back on us for another drink, do we need anything, how is everything etc. Hey Craftsman - do better! Maybe some training in the kitchen and out on the floor is in order.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. There's also parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy.

For over 25 years, Benny's Luncheonette has offered an excellent opportunity, and my partner and I came for brunch as first-timers today. No reservations are allowed at this location, so it is first come, first served. Upon entering this cozy old-school diner vibe filled with old memorabilia of phonograph records and wall posters, we were greeted by the staff and able to get a booth along the right side of the restaurant where the aroma of great-smelling food just SMACKED one right in the face. The menu was extensive with good selections for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. We decided on the Grilled Cheese Turkey Bacon sandwich and a side of Home Fries as well as a Florentine Omelette. To my surprise, they had empanadas in chicken or beef, which I tried their beef. It was absolutely delicious, not greasy, as it was baked with a thin crust. Complimentary mini Chocolate Chip muffins started our meal. The rest of our food arrived hot and was tasty, fresh, and well-seasoned. Prices were very affordable, and the portions were generous. The service was amazing and attentive, and our server was Jamie. Overall, this place was one of the best combinations of cost vs. quality and portion ratios, where the customer service just pushed it over the top, which we could recommend.
