I cannot believe all of these terrible reviews that are on yelp. It feels like these people went to a different place, because we loved it. I will say, however, that we shared a suite with friends who are owners, so that may be why our time was so different. In any case, the service was lovely. We had a concierge on our floor who helped us, and we had a beautiful, three bedroom suite with a lovely balcony, living room and kitchen. The check-in process at the airport for getting a ride to the resort was very challenging and should have been handled far better than it was, but the rest of our time was just great . The suite was well equipped so we were able to make our own breakfast and then go out to eat for our other meals. The pool area was crowded but we learned when and how to get the number of seats we needed. The food was tasty and the servers were all very helpful. Room service for dinner turned out to be excellent - food and service, and it was lovely not to have to go out for dinner one night. I guess, traveling with an owner, makes a huge difference, but I have to say our week there was excellent

Pros Beautiful jungle like campus, a Jurassic park vibe Gorgeous rooms with tall ceilings, personal large bathtubs, a cold dipping pool on deck (Grand Luxxe) A side view of the beach from balcony! Friendly staff :) A lovely Gondola Proximity to the beach Nice pools with day beds, cabanas with a beautiful view of the beach! Fast golf cart service to different locations of campus Happy hour at the pools Coming here mid April seems to be the right time, less crowded, the weather milder. It was an easy ride from the airport and it wasn't busy at the sanctuary where you check in. Grand hotels with beautiful sitting areas A large campus with gyms, pools, and restaurants. Dr Jorge was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful Cons Awful check in process--instead of helping to get you to your room, you're trapped and heavily pressured into time share class. You will be seduced with a room upgrade and 10% off your bill. They don't respect No, and don't respect No thank you. They keep pushing, and bring out the manager to push you further after first person was not able to convince you. It's a really crappy way to start your vacation. I understand it's their job, but there must be some middle ground. We had a shorter flight here but I can't imagine how bad it is for the ppl coming on long flights or from other countries. All you want to do is check into your room and rest. The food is expensive and the quality of the food is average (Samba buffet had a good beef stew, but the lasagna was mush, and the shrimp was mush also). Gong restaurant was decent but super expensive. Room service eggs were microwaved and rubbery Music blaring on campus until 12:30 or 1am, if you go to bed at 10-11pm it could keep you awake. If you are sensitive to smell (I'm not so much) there's perfume being pumped into the air at the hotels. It's a nice smell but can get overwhelming after a while. People purchase the scent at the compound/campus store. The water in the room smells like chlorine if you care about that type of thing. When you first get here it may be confusing to get around, and even the staff are not aware of all the different restaurants and amenities (the compound is big with 5 hotels). The most beautiful rooftop pool only is only accessible to residents which is a bummer. You're having to constantly tip which I understand and respect but it gets overwhelming. In conclusion you're either a large resort kind of person (and the annoyances that come with it), or you're not. It feels like you're on a large cruise ship, but land locked. It's a 30 minute cab ride to get into the city. This is probably a fun and adventurous place for kids and families.

I just returned from a week in Paradise. 3/5/25. Everything about this resort is perfection. They have created a world where the guests can be totally relaxed, and cared for. The people who work there make the guests their priority. They anticipate our needs and offer a warm "hola" whenever they pass us on the property. 2 examples - we had been on the beach and were washing the sand off our feet from the fountain set up for that purpose. The minute we finished washing someone was there with a towel to dry our feet. Today, I walked through the lobby wheeling a small case when a concierge came up and said, how can I help you. The room maid saw I had used the small bottle of bubble bath, so the next day she left to more to make sure I had what I needed. The food is delicious, reasonable cost and good variety with wonderful, friendly wait staff. The property has wonderful jungle walking paths that attract birds galore. They also have excellent signage so we don't get lost. It's amazing how having a bracelet that includes our room key and being able to charge everything to our room so we don't need a wallet makes it so easy to walk out of the room and not wonder if we forgot anything. I could go on and on but will close with assuring you'll have an outstanding time here.

On our way to the airport! Fingers crossed !

This place was the most incredible resort I have stayed at!!! Everything was prestige and luxury including the staff and room and all accommodations! The resort is currently complying, and if I'm being honest, EXCEEDING CA covid standards and they are only at 40% capacity. I felt SO SAFE , with all the measures they are taking at this incredible resort! Before you are allowed to enter even the property you are greeted with masked employees who take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer. Everyone kept their distance and their face masks on at all times.

Love this resort! Stayed at a 2 bedroom GRAND LUXXE which was awesome. If you are staying at Grand Luxxe you have access to any of their 27 pools. And your towers are the newest and loveliest. Each floor had a personal concierge and every day our suite gets cleaned twice and bed turned down every night. Best restos are the following: Blue Fish Custom Burger Fresh Co Avoid Costa Arena and La Cantina. Quinto was just okay. Service was great and everyone was super friendly. Can't wait to go back every year!

First off, all the reviews on this entry are for the Grand Luxxe rooms, not the Residence. The Vidanta Residence units are million-dollar-plus permanently owned condos that I don't believe are ever rented out. This Yelp page is really just for the Luxxe rooms. *** SALES PRESENTATIONS *** Let's not kid ourselves: timeshares are fundamentally pyramid-based selling plans. The system needs new buyers constantly to "feed the beast" and keep things running. If new people stop buying, the system collapses. Vidanta is no different than any other timeshare system: you'll be pressured to attend the breakfast that will "only take an hour" but it can easily last longer if you express any interest at all in the product. Your entire day can be consumed if you're not careful. If you have steel willpower and are clear-eyed about the ways they'll try to sway you, by all means attend and take advantage of the discount they'll offer you (typically 10% off food, not including drinks). But it's typically not worth it - you're on vacation, why waste even part of your day with timeshare salespeople? I am of the opinion that the best way to visit a Vidanta resort is to rent from the owners who bought more weeks than they could use and fell for the lie that it was "fast and easy" to have someone else rent out their weeks for them. It's not - every Vidanta timeshare owner I know basically has a part-time job on the side working to rent their weeks via sites such as Red Week. And there's never enough inventory - It's much easier to simply rent from the people who are owners. I am not personally a Vidanta owner; my parents bought in years ago at the Mayan and upgraded to the Luxxe a few years back. I am thus fortunate to visit the Luxxe with my own family as a guest and am not hassled to attend the sales breakfasts. My parents are though, because there's always "just one more" upgrade. The timeshare beast is always hungry and demands to be fed. *** STAFF *** A resort like is great, or not, based on the staff who are assisting you. Each Luxxe floor has a concierge for the guests on that floor. Jhovanny, our concierge on the 7th floor of Luxxe tower one, was absolutely excellent. He speaks and understands English very well, so it was easy to communicate with him. This year, more than ever, I relied upon the floor concierge because it's so easy for other staff members to misunderstand what you're asking (I unfortunately do not speak Spanish). Halfway through our customary two-week stay, I ask for my room bill to check the validity of the charges (there are always a few that are incorrectly assigned to my room). Every previous year, when I ask for my room bill, the staff members on the main floor have often checked me out of my room, thinking I was leaving. This of course creates a logistical nightmare. I am now extremely cautious about simply asking for our stuff. *** SPA & MASSAGES *** Spatium, the spa for Luxxe members, is gorgeous. Very nice facilities, and it's all only a few years old. Very professional, attentive staff. Unfortunately, the complementary massages they offer to owners (which are often passed to renters or family) - one per week of ownership - are not very good massages in my experience. Little to no pressure by poorly-trained staff. *** WiFI *** It's slow, it drops often, and you constantly have to renew your devices on it. Pretty crummy. *** ROOM CLEANING *** The rooms are cleaned daily by a maid, and for the most part this works out well, but on the second-from-last day of our stay, it was 3pm and our rooms still hadn't been cleaned. We contacted our concierge and he arranged for an immediate cleaning (immediate in Mexico being 5-60 minutes). So it's very hit or miss. Sometimes it will be wonderful, sometimes it won't be. *** NOISE *** Luxxe tower one is the noisiest tower I've ever stayed in - they have live music in the lobby every night from 8pm to 10pm (or so) and while I'm sure it's lovely music, it's a little irritating when you're trying to put your kids to bed. A few nights I've been in bed wondering when it will stop. The lobby is open up to the roof of the building, so the sound travels up. When that music stops, they play loud music in the lobby until who knows when - I feel to sleep trying to ignore it every night. Who is in the lobby listening to music at 11pm? I have no idea.

We spent about 2 hours checking in.. Received a room we were NOT promised. To top it off the "plunge pool" is ABSOLUTELY disgusting!!!! I wish I could post a video!! DISGUSTING!

With that being said-- don't stay here if you have a larger party. Food was mid to low tier and the drinks were watered down. Also forgot to mention upon check in we found a poop in our hotel room toilet. And in my mom's room there was a water leak from the ceiling. One of the worst Hard Rocks we have ever stayed at.

Room: 1) There is a leak and all the bath towels are wet…read moredaily, we have to catch the room cleaning person to get new towels daily. The technicians couldn't fix the leak (after 1 hr....I knew he wouldn't bc he looked like he just screwed and unscrewed things all day) so they moved us to another room after 2hrs on a the ground floor and the girl at the reception was so unaware. I'm sure the guy who ran the beach shack for boogie boards would've done a better job of managing guests than the people at the front reception. 2) There is a huge tub in the middle of the room which was completely useless. 3) Bathroom has an unhygienic setting - no vent, glass window / shutter from bathroom to room so people in room can smell your business. Food: we are vegetarian so it was more misses than hits. -Frieda: food was completely flavorless. -Ciao: 1) Caprese: served with HUGE tomatoes and a giant piece of burrata cheese and flavorful balsamic. 2) Bruschetta di Ricotta: same thing as Caprese. 3) Tagliatelle con pesto: no flavor at all, zero salt. 4) Parmigiano Melanzano: too much tomato paste and sugar. The entire dish tastes like sweet sauce. -Zen: Omg this place was a nightmare, the evening we came a kid was crying nonstop so loud the server said I'm sorry I can't do anything. Everything tasted like shit. Soup: white paste with slices of raw red onions and 2 pieces of tofu...wtf is that! Banana Roll Sushi: tasteless with rice that was overcooked and old. Sadly we saw this same item and many others from Zen at the breakfast buffet the next day. That really made it sad to be here. -Marketplace: the food was so limited it was sad. We as vegetarians really survived on Banana Crepes, fruits and omelette station. The Crepe lady made the kids day every day! She was the only gem this place had for food. 1) flu shots and breakfast smoothies are awesome. Drinks are never ending which is nice. Pool near Waterslide was soooo cold; it was uncomfortable to be in the water. The ocean was better. Ocean Rentals: boogie board, Kayaks were amazing. Kids had a blast and the guy who was at the shack was hilarious and so amazing! He got the kids all excited to do stuff and they loved it. This guy also looked like he MC'd the pool dance out which was hilarious and entertaining. Photoshoot: the idiot called us at 9am and told us the sun is in a great spot to take pictures! Sebastian was dumb as hell, but the guy with him who was clearerLY smarter wouldn't take the pictures. Sebastian was completely off putting and looked like he didn't know jack. He wasn't even at the desk (no one was) when we called us the next day at 9am to come look at the pictures! That tells you how professional they are overall. Cafetto: great chocolate ice cream and lattes. I would avoid this resort - the all inclusive package is a boring headache.

Let me frame this honestly from the start. VidantaWorld is an extraordinary place that falls short…read moreof its own ambition in ways that matter, and understanding that gap before you arrive will make your experience significantly better than ours was at the outset. Also known as Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, this is not a hotel. It is closer to a self contained vacation city sprawling across more than 1,000 hectares on Banderas Bay, just north of Puerto Vallarta on Mexico's Pacific coast. The nearest airport is Puerto Vallarta in the state of Jalisco. Think of it as the DisneyWorld of Mexican beach resorts, multiple hotel brands including the Estates, Grand Luxxe, Grand Bliss, Grand Mayan, and Mayan Palace, dozens of pools, beach areas, around 25 restaurants, a golf academy with three Greg Norman designed courses that hosts a PGA TOUR event, spas, entertainment venues, shopping, and a gondola system connecting different areas of the property. They are also building a theme park with roller coasters and a Ferris wheel. The scale is genuinely staggering. Anywhere you turn there is beauty. The landscaping is immaculate, the flowers and palm trees are abundant, and the wildlife surprises you at every turn. Raccoons, iguanas, turtles, and tropical birds appear throughout the property as natural residents of what was clearly built in the middle of a rainforest. That coexistence between luxury construction and natural environment is one of the most distinctive things about Vidanta and worth appreciating every time you notice it. The entertainment options are serious. The Santuario area hosts live music, theme nights, and concerts from names like Maroon 5 and Robbie Williams. There is also a Cirque du Soleil residency called LUDÕ, a water themed dining and performance show that we unfortunately missed because we did not check the schedule carefully enough. Do not make the same mistake. Ask your concierge on day one and book it immediately. For activities, the Par-tee Zone golf simulator and virtual games are genuinely fun, pickleball courts are available with rentable equipment, and adults only pools are one of the better features of the property. Now for the honest assessment that the resort website will not give you: The check in process took four hours. We were promised the room would be ready upon arrival and it was not. When we finally got in, the room did not have the ocean view we had requested since the original reservation. What Vidanta calls ocean view is in many cases partial or obstructed at best. Our Grand Luxxe 3 tower room was spacious and well appointed with two bedrooms, private pool, jacuzzi, and full kitchen, but all three toilets required maintenance calls shortly after arrival. More critically, a storm knocked out the air conditioning for our entire building for 28 hours. Enduring temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit with no climate control in a luxury resort is unacceptable. Several pools, the lazy river, and multiple restaurants were closed during our stay with no proactive communication from the resort. The VidantaWorld app, meant to help navigate the property, runs on inaccurate information. The timeshare presentation we were talked into lasted three hours instead of the promised sixty minutes, and when we declined to purchase without reviewing the contract terms they failed to provide, the interaction turned sour. One practical tip: visit a nearby supermarket on arrival. On site food markets are convenient but expensive. Take a taxi out and return by Uber since rideshares can drop guests but cannot pick them up on property. The employees are the heart of this place, warm, proud, and genuinely committed to your experience. The problem is that the property's size exceeds its staffing capacity even during low season. Four stars earned by the staff, the natural beauty, and the food when it delivered. VidantaWorld is impressive and at times magical, but it needs to close the gap between what it promises and what it consistently delivers. For my next beach vacation I will be looking for something smaller and more intimate.

Those teams remembered our party, our orders, and made the trip incredible. The front desk staff could use some improvement in consistency, responsive, and guest service - aside from a gentleman that worked overnight. He was incredibly responsive. The first room I was in had a ceiling link in the restroom. I fell asleep waiting on them to come so I could point out the issue, as they said they would be sending someone up, resulting in me missing the Michael Jackson themed entertainment When I woke up around 4AM, the leak was so bad that the water was out into the hallway. The gentleman I previously mentioned immediately asked if my belongings had been damaged, checked the list to see the request hadn't even been logged, before sending maintenance right up. It seemed to be resolved but the leak returned later that morning, so I requested a room change when I went down for breakfast. The front desk told me that would be possible but I needed to be out of that room by noon and they would let me know when the new room was ready around 3. I pushed back on not having access to a room for several hours so they let me keep my current space. It was also quite the challenge to get washcloths. They were in my friends' rooms but were never placed in mine so I had to request them each day. One day they even removed the clean/unused ones from the towel shelf when straightening the room. The others didn't have any issues with their rooms, so I'm taking that as a fluke. The activities were so much fun - it's the first time I've done water aerobics and now I'm hooked. Pool bingo and Papi Chulo were also some of my favorite engagements. It did get pretty loud with karaoke and live music at night, but that ended around 11 - so bring noise canceling headphones if you go to bed early. All in all, we had a great time. We can't wait to go back! Side note: the concierge did mess up our dinner reservations one night so we didn't get to eat at one of the restaurants we were looking forward to, so double check your confirmations! And make all of your reservations ASAP because they apparently fill up quickly (but the restaurants have empty tables ).

The evening entertainment was well-choreographed and very entertaining -- even the shows for children that we saw were lovely! I was quite happy with the service level and the activities (especially water aerobics and BINGO) were good too. I appreciated the fact that you didn't have to walk far to get from rooms to restaurants or from the pool to the beach. The resort had enough great features to keep us busy yet relaxed on vacation. When we unexpectedly had to extend our hotel stay due to a situation in the country making travel home temporarily impossible, the resort honoured the price that we paid through our travel agent initially. We had to go back to a regular room (and I definitely found the upgraded room better) but the resort still did their best to take care of us despite the fact that the situation meant that they were running into staffing issues. We still had great food and drinks, the pool and the beach to enjoy while awaiting our safe return home. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here in the future. And I would certainly entertain the idea of going on another all-inclusive vacation like this one, or staying at another resort by this brand.

We voluntarily abandoned our vacation after less than 24 hours…read more We were booked for a five-night stay at the Mayan Palace at Vidanta. We left after less than 24 hours, forfeiting four prepaid nights and paying out of pocket for new flights home because staying there simply wasn't worth it. The grounds are beautiful, but the guest experience was anything but relaxing. From check-in onward, we were repeatedly pressured to attend a timeshare breakfast. We politely declined multiple times, only to have managers continue the sales pitch. The following morning, after we'd already decided to leave the resort, we received two more phone calls trying to get us to attend or explain why we were leaving. Throughout our stay, "no" never seemed to be an acceptable answer. Beyond the constant sales pressure, the resort was frustrating to navigate, our room wasn't ready when promised, we never received the notification we were told to expect, the temporary room charge number they provided didn't work, room service took over an hour and arrived cold, and we repeatedly encountered unnecessary complications for even the simplest things. None of those issues alone made us leave. The final straw was checkout. After explaining that we simply wanted to check out and go to the airport, we were repeatedly pressed to explain why we were leaving. We politely declined several times. We were then told an incident report needed to be completed before our checkout could be processed. I specifically asked whether they were telling us we could not leave without completing the report because that was exactly how the conversation came across. Rather than answering directly, they continued insisting we complete it and explain ourselves. The report contained terms and conditions we did not agree with. When we crossed them out, we were told we weren't allowed to modify the document. We refused to agree to language we didn't accept, crossed out those sections anyway, and ultimately signed it "UNDER DURESS" simply so we could finish checking out and leave. We weren't asking for a refund. We weren't demanding compensation. We simply wanted to leave. This is the first vacation in my life that I've voluntarily abandoned after less than 24 hours and paid out of pocket to fly home early. That fact alone should tell you everything you need to know.

Two girlfriends have a timeshare here and I was invited to come. This experience did not…read moredisappoint! The Mayan Palace is one of the older hotels as they continue to build more luxury accommodations but when you're in Mexico, you spend most of the time outside, pool side or on the beach that I hardly spent time in my room. The room was large with a king size bed, a large living room with two day beds and two trundles, a dining table and chairs and kitchen. It had everything we need! We spent our days by the Beachland pool, happy hour 2 for 1 drinks was between 11-1. There are several great restaurants on property (Sweet Paris, Gong, La Cantina, Tramonto) and since we were there in November we just walked right in with no reservations. I'm sure during peak times it is best to reserve table. The Joy Luck Club offered some great poolside games and water aerobics, the beach is so close to the main pool you can easily take a nice long walk on the beach or swim in the ocean. There's plenty of entertainment live music dancing and shows at the Santaurio. There are two golf courses, La Plaza with a grocery, more food and alcohol, floral, pastries, deli, froyo and more. You can walk via beach to town, maybe 20 minutes to enjoy more local restaurants and shops. The property is massive - I mean really massive and one of the reasons we like the Mayan Palace is that it is close to the plaza, main pool and beach. If you stay at one of the newer places, it can be a long walk. They have a shuttle service but often times you can wait a bit. I say enjoy the scenery and walk the path to your destinations. One day you spent an hour and a half walking the property. There are beautiful views, water views, a tram, mature landscapes and cool lizards and animals to see. What I can say is the staff is extremely helpful, show respect and focused on providing the very best service. The check in process is a little long but I take that with a grain of salt.
