I thought it was pretty good... just enough butter on it (okay, so maybe alot). They have the little seasoning station like other theatres, so you can put the ranch seasoning, etc on your popcorn. (I didn't try... but my Dad likes that stuff.) We went to the 7pm show on Oscar night, and it was pretty bare. Couple that with the snowstorm... and we were only 6 people in the theatre. Nice... Bad : Very high prices for a small town theater, senior discount is only valid during short windows on certain days (call ahead). V. bad : 20 minutes of commercial after commercial until at least 10 minutes past the show's start time. They only had about 8-10 local business' commercials so - guess what - they showed them TWICE! If it was a freebee I wouldn't gripe but when I pay $3.25 MORE for a ticket and $2 more for a large popcorn than at another nearby theater which has less than 1/2 the commercials I expect NO commercials. I won't be going there again.

So we didn't have too many expectations coming in, as long as it had a nice hot tub and room, we would be happy. And that is what we found here. The rooms are updated and modern and very roomy. Beds are very comfortable and offer a good night's sleep. The pool area offers a huge hot tub which made for some good lounging time, albeit you cannot have drinks of any kind in the pool area, which was somewhat of a downer. The casino was not anything to write home about. We had some free play credits to use and the machine basically ate them without functioning correctly, so that was a total bust. Oh well, I don't gamble against the house anyways. Finally, we had dinner in their restaurant. The food was not bad. I enjoyed my seafood platter, it was filling and had decent quality seafood. My wife's BBQ mac and cheese was not great, more mac than meat. All in all, it wasn't terrible and we didn't pay much out of pocket for it. Finally, there is not a lot to do outside of the casino. There is a nice state park just up the road and you have Mille Lacs for fishing excursions, but not much more than that. I have never been to the Hinckley location so I really can't compare between the two. There is at least more to do in Hinckley. Oh well, as stated before, we were just looking for a bed and hot tub and that is what we found.

Concessions are so outrageously priced you get the sense that the owners hate their customers and have lost any sense of value or a square deal. On top of that, the staff is bland, slow as molasses, and sloppy in their presentation. Don't bother with the restaurant attached to the theater. It's terrible.
