Do not recommend. It's been a little over 2 weeks and my gel pedicure is chipping off. A week ago part of my pinky toe nail chipped leaving half of it left and right now the polish on my big toe completely lifted off. Not to mention as I was getting the pedicure, the lady started digging into my big toe to get I guess an ingrown out when I didn't ask her to and it's against state board to be removing them and I told her that really hurts and to stop but she ignored me and kept going. I ask her again, she ignored me again because she was almost finished getting it and didn't apologize. This is just another chop shop. DONT GO! read more

I went in for a basic manicure nothing fancy took less than 15 minutes. It was basic. The lotion was all over in two minutes, literally one pump per arm. I'm thinking my goodness. I need more lotion. I probably won't get a manicure here ever. read more

It was all good and nice and lovely feelings at first. They offer you a complimentary drink and i got a iced green tea which is really nice. But the lady that worked on my nails didnt really care about how i wanted my nails and i told her i want them cut shorter and she told me no. And then i asked to be filed smoother here or here por say.. for me to spend 74 dollars plus giving a tip cause for dealing with how i want my nails to look, is so bad and to get a basic pedicure (that im not too thrilled about) and a gel manicure (that i will have to deal with) is alot if i cant get my nails done how i want them to be.. this is exactly why i cut them myself first before going. And not just that the color i got is reallly a light sparkly green and it started to dry with clumps on my nails. And if i push on the nail i can feel it moving. It will drive me crazy until the next time i go get my nails done again. Ill just have to get through them and go back to my favorite place later then. So it was kind of bummed experience. read more

I came in asking for builder gel (which is listed on their services), and Tom, the technician didn't even know what I was referring to and gave me Gel-X instead. I also showed a reference photo for a soft, delicate design, and what I received looked completely different--thick, uneven, and not the style I asked for at all. I did speak up during the appointment, but after already being there for 2 hours, I felt rushed and the result still didn't improve. When I reached out about fixing it, I was told they could redo it at a discounted price instead of correcting it for free, even though the service didn't match what I originally asked for. Overall, the quality, communication, and service did not reflect what's advertised. I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for accurate or detailed work. read more

I used to love this place. I had only gotten pedicures here, since I am a nurse and normally can not have acrylics. However, I finally decided to get my first set after 7 years and didn't know much about nails since it has been so long. I asked for French, but was not really offered the difference between pink and white powder, ombré, etc, and I didn't know that white tips alone won't turn up as pink as the pink powder did. (Now I know) Two days later my nails separated and food was getting stuck so far under the nails I had to use a tooth pick just to get it out, ridiculous. When I went back to have it fixed, I was told my nails "don't even look that bad" and questioned over and over again in front of other customers over what the problem was and what I wanted her to do about it. So humiliating, and I've never experienced this ever in a nail salon if I had an issue. I was so upset I just ended up leaving and was refunded my money. At first she didn't even want to refund the tip I left, but I told her I was dispute it so she did. Very unprofessional and hostile, was embarrassing in front of other customers. I even offered to pay to fix whatever the issue was, but I feel like this owner made me look like I was "cheap and looking for a free handout in front of her other customers!" There are a lot of nail salons in this area who are very nice and willing to fix or adjust mistakes made. Don't go here the owner is hostile, and fake. Plus I have felt targeted by my "diamond ring size and my bag" with comments being made about "how nice it is nearly every visit"--money hungry staff. read more

I must say that I regretted using this place to get my nails done...used it once before for manicure and pedicure, did not have any issues, unfortunately was not the same on my second time, worst of it all the lady who must be the manager or owner was so aggressively rude, right away she was defensive and said didn't care if I write a bad review..,in fact she encouraged me to do it...so this says a lot about her integrity to honor her clients as we are the ones to sustain her business going, I got this service on a Thursday and by Sunday all my nails were peeling off, they are close Monday and Tuesday so no way I could come back to have them correct the problem. Paid $80 for a French manicure, she was loud and did even consider to offer some money back or redo my nails give or take as a courtesy...she lacked customer service. Have been going here ever 2-3 weeks for a couple months with my friend for our nail appointments, even brought her daughter for her birthday with us and they accommodated her amazingly. I got my nails done and realized when I got home that they were very thick and uneven, I was very polite and called to see if I could get them fixed. When I got to the salon the lady (not sure her name) asked me what was wrong, I showed her my nails and said there was too much gel and they were chunky and uneven. Before I could finish, she got a nasty look on her face and told me no? they are not chunky, and told me it's because I got chrome powder. I told her it didn't turn out how I wanted, and she sighed and said "So what do you want? All new gel?". As someone who works in the beauty services industry, if someone is unsatisfied with the work you've done, it's not your job to tell them they are wrong, it's your job to make sure they are satisfied. When we moved into the peoria neighborhood last year we became to far from our favorite nail salon :( But luckily we found this gem just 5 mins from our house! We were shocked when entering this store for the first time.. it's so fancy, clean, and beautifully quiet. I have been going to Grand nails religiously for almost a year and have never been disappointed. The staff knows me by name and are all so sweet and polite. I've had only one problem with a gel set and instantly I was called in and given a new set for 50% off. Designs have never been a problem or much extra. Their dip powder lasts FOREVER. And if you have some scratchy feet..? Noooo problem! They will put all their elbow grease into your feet to make sure you're smooth and lookin cute! My mom and sister get their eyebrows done here and love the service and price as well. I recommend this place to everyone and anyone. Update- I came in during peak hours with no appointment. Needed immediate service for a just agreed to coffee date. They remembered me from my other visit, manager has great energy. Was initially told could do eyebrows but toenails would require a later appointment. After the brows by Lynn (who did a great, quick, relatively painless job!) I told the manager why I needed the toenails now. She initially offered to do a spot fix, then figured out how to get me taken care of right away with a full on pedicure. That's service!! Definitely recommend. Original review- They got me in right away which was nice. Apparently slow bc everyone is at the golf tournaments.
