I asked for ombré white tip. This review is to help others who wish to get the ombré white tip. There are a lot of videos online on getting ombré look with gel and it takes sponges and things like that to get that look well. Today I found out that they can only achieve that look with the powder and not the gel. Even though they said it's not possible just googling you will see many people can get the look with gel. I know this is what I asked them for but it is their job to let me know if what I'm asking for is going to turn out good or not. Plus they need to be honest if they can actually do what I'm asking for and not just wing it. I like Tom he is very talented but today I just walked in and he was fully booked so he couldn't get me in at first or fix the problem afterwards. If you want it done right you have to book an appointment with Tom otherwise you don't really know what you are going to end up other people there. Update I came back and Tom was able to fix them. **** went back and they fixed them for free! They were really nice about it and apologized. Will be going back! Very nice staff but really disappointed with how they turned out. I have bubbles, uneven THICK nails, and fuzz on one nail. Really sad I spent $40+ on a fill and color. read more

So my sister told me about this place and how amazing they are at nails. I have long natural Nails so I was a little nervous about going somewhere new. I am visiting from New York so I usually only go to one place . I made an appointment with Tom because that's who she sees when she goes . I should him a picture of what I was yes which was ombré with a more neutral shade of pink. Tom was so amazing he took about two hours making sure my nails were perfect . Yesterday me and my mom came in for pedicures! And let me just say this....it was TERRIBLE. This was our first time trying out this spot and let's just say this will be our last. They rushed through everything, even the polish was horrible! It looked like a 5 years old just did my toes! Got the polish all over my cuticle! Totally do not recommend this place to anyone! read more

I came here on Monday of this week. Tonight is Thursday just to give a timeline. I got my nails done Monday. I have pretty grown on acrylic nails so I asked for a refill. I do like how my cuticles were done well and I enjoyed the shape of my nails and color. I originally wasn't going to review this place because I did genuinely like how my nails looked. But when I came Monday. The appointment felt very rushed. Though being quick can sometimes be nice i felt awkward and scolded when I didn't move my hands quick enough for her. But i felt like i was annoying her by being there. So i came in tonight to get it fixed. I've never had them break this soon. I did walk in so i had to wait about 30 minutes. Which I didn't mind waiting I told them. But again, she was very rushed and quick to moving around my hands. Like it was my fault they chipped so soon. As soon as she was done she got up and said all done and walked away. No sorry or have a good night. Very cold shoulder. A nail salon is supposed to feel relaxing not extra stress. I'm surprised they didn't charge me. Maybe because I looked so sad. I love how my nails looked. But how I felt like I was annoying her by just being there. I doubt I'll come back. read more

Came as a walk in today; had some time before I got my lashes filled next door and thought I would see if they had time for a quick brow wax. I was seen immediately, which was awesome! The wax was fast and my brows look fantastic! And to top things off, it was only $10! That's a steal. Definitely recommend...looks like they were doing a good business of mani-pedis when I was there too...full, but clean and everyone was masked up! read more

The staff here is so incredibly friendly! They're so good at nails, and always find time to fit me in since I usually am always a walk in client. I'm so indecisive & they always assist me in helpful suggestions on what colors would look nice. They're definitely skilled too cause they're fast and yet my nails always look so pretty. I have been here since my first review and each time they mix up my appointments and double book Tom says they failed to write it in book again. It is inconsiderate as if my drive and my time is not of value. Other people have yelled and fused about it as well but today I refuse to give energy to that and will just find a place that values my loyalty. read more

I went here after seeing the reviews. I guess what I can say is don't go unless you get Tom that everyone was raving about. I had an appointment so it's not like I walked in unexpected and they knew I was there for dipped nails. Three people were sitting there not doing anything and I got the person who came to the desk. One gentleman was doing nails already and I am assuming that is Tom. The young man that did my nails turned out to be terrible. My dipped nails are breaking away from my nails causing my nail underneath to break on several nails. I have had dipped nails for a couple of years and have never had a problem. Looking around the salon I noticed nail jars with the caps not screwed on including the ones my person was using. There was a temporary banner on the outside saying T Nails and the employees licenses were tacked up on the wall not in frames like most places do. This makes me think that this is a new salon or new ownership. I will not be back. read more

I got my nails done on Tuesday and by Wednesday I had one nail chip by Thursday I had 2 nails chipped. Not only that, but the people working there were very rude. I felt like she rushed through my nails. It was also pretty pricy. Unfortunately, I went out of town so I will be getting my nails fixed somewhere else. I actually came here after looking at the pic of nail design work. There are so many salons now that don't bother with making your nails special. This review is not about the design as the technician did a wonderful job. The first thing I noticed was the overwhelming chemical smell that permeated the salon. It will take your breath away. How these technicians work here, day after day, without proper ventilation is beyond me. I asked for tips and gel nails. During the shaping she asked if I would like to put on the little fan, which I did, because the smell was so strong. Technician kept coughing saying her throat was dry, but, had to be the constant inhalation of chemicals. The technician cut off what natural nail I had and glued on the tips! Never had that done before. Then she starts getting the stuff out to put on acrylic nails! I said I wanted gel nails, but, she said had to have acrylics to "hold the tip on"! I have had tips before without having acrylic put on top! At this point, I was already committed because the tips were on, so, I let her put on acrylic and then she used gel polish to finish. It's been years since I have had acrylic nails as I started going for gel and dip powder because acrylics are so hard on my nails. Not sure why the technician could not just use gel on top with tips. So, because of the noxious chemical smell and getting acrylics when all I wanted was gel, I won't return. Update: had to soak off thumb nail as the edge was so sore I could hardly touch it. The right edge of my thumbnail is now paper thin and she filed too far in on the side that my skin is trying to curl up over the nail! It is so painful! read more

Listen, I came in at 5:00 on a Thursday & asked for a gel manicure. Tom said it would be about 5 minutes. It took 55 minutes and still no one has come to do my nails. I just feel like I was lied to. I have things to do. I won't be back, truthfully. I came here from yelp & left disappointed. Update: I wrote this review & Tom asked me to leave. Quality service. I have been searching the Peoria/Glendale/Phoenix area looking for a nail salon and technicians that do quality work that lasts more than a week or 2 and can do an acrylic fill back for 2 solid years!!! I used this app to message and make an appointment for Friday night. I was very clear with what I needed done. I get there and explain myself again. She listened somewhat but was going quick and not paying attention to the details. She did the opposite of what I asked and the end result was because she hadn't heard me from the beginning. A couple time she said "trust me" as she saw me looking at them and not happy about the result. A handful of tips aren't glued flush against my nail. This is annoying as I can see and feel them. Not to mention the possibility of getting an infection underneath. After 2 days every finger on my left hand is lifting around my cuticles. My right hand has a few, but not as bad as the left. I got my nails done for a retreat I went to yesterday (Saturday), my birthday (next Saturday, 4/16) and Easter Sunday. Now I am stuck spending $ I don't have (already gave this place $50) to get these redone by someone else. I will never go back to this place. And I suggest you don't go here is you're looking for an acrylic set done. read more

Where do I begin... she knicked my cuticles and held the drill down too long it and burned my nail, I flinched as every other person would as it is an instinctual reaction to pain. The first time this happen she said ok I'll drill really slow because you're sensitive and I said no, you burnt me it's not being sensitive" Then she knicks my cuticle and I went to check if it was bleeding and she had this look on her face she looked at her coworker as if I had just spat in her face. Then again she gets my cuticle and I jerk my hand out of reaction and I And she says verbatim "you are kind of baby" and I looked at her and said "excuse me?!?!" And she didn't say much after that. When I had picked my color she went and got a different color and said this one's prettier let's do this one. And I'm like uhhh ehh and she said ok you pick and I said I'll keep the dark one I picked out. At some point she got hot and put the fan in her face and being silly she put the fan in my face and then I smiled but then she pulled her shirt collar outward and put the fan angled down so the handheld fan was by her chin facing down. And then while I had my hands with acetone foils on all my fingers and with how fast she did it.. she grabbed my shirt in the chest area and put the fan to my chin to have air blown on my boobs. And I kinda froze up and was really quiet and I didn't say much after that. She kept trying to push a manicure on me I had to tell her no over and over and over that I only want a GELL manicure and as the session went on she told me I'm too sensitive and I shouldn't get GELL. And I said why? She said because I'm too sensitive and I look at her and say no. I like GELL. After another time she burned my nail with the drill she rolls her eyes and said do you want her to finish? (Le Ann) and I said you know what yes. I want her to finish. She was so so so damn rude. Absolutely Crossed boundaries. Tried to make me feel like I was doing something wrong. She also asked me if I'd been there before and if one of her coworkers had done my nails and I said yes everyone in this room (3 other people) has done my nails before I've been here forever. Not once have I been treated like that. She literally was calling me names while expecting me to pay her? Like It's her job, not mine. So if you wanna be borderline assaulted, talked down to, told that your color is ugly, and be treated like you're the biggest inconvenience on plant earth, you'd like it here. Linda is the worst nail tech I have ever encountered in my fucking life. Oh! She also told me to stop watching as I was looking at her do my nails. I was watching a YouTube video and I would glance back-and-forth, but she literally said stop watching her do my nails. I encourage you to go to other nail salons. Or if you do stay here. Do not give Linda your money!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Tracy and her brother Hyde. I go to Hyde every time and every time I am there they make you feel right at home. Hyde always takes his time and remembers which nails are tender and gets the job done while keeping me pain free! They both do incredible work and ensure that the product they use is the very best. I tend to sometimes feel if I speak up at other nail salons if I want something filed different or immediately am not a fan of the color they get super frustrated. Here they don't care about anything but your happiness and have no problem fixing something! Tracy is fantastic! I was recently introduced to her by multiple friends who get their nails done by her and it has been one incredible experience after another! Her artwork and talent is unparalleled. She is completely capable of recreating pictures you show her and she listens to exactly what you want and makes it happen! The customer service experience she provides is excellent. The nail salon is always clean and sanitary including her station and tools. Came with my five-year-old daughter to get our nails done for a special occasion and Reba did a great job making my little one feel taken care of and comfortable. Where do I begin... she knicked my cuticles and held the drill down too long it and burned my nail, I flinched as every other person would as it is an instinctual reaction to pain. The first time this happen she said ok I'll drill really slow because you're sensitive and I said no, you burnt me it's not being sensitive" Then she knicks my cuticle and I went to check if it was bleeding and she had this look on her face she looked at her coworker as if I had just spat in her face. Then again she gets my cuticle and I jerk my hand out of reaction and I And she says verbatim "you are kind of baby" and I looked at her and said "excuse me?!?!" And she didn't say much after that. When I had picked my color she went and got a different color and said this one's prettier let's do this one. And I'm like uhhh ehh and she said ok you pick and I said I'll keep the dark one I picked out. At some point she got hot and put the fan in her face and being silly she put the fan in my face and then I smiled but then she pulled her shirt collar outward and put the fan angled down so the handheld fan was by her chin facing down. And then while I had my hands with acetone foils on all my fingers and with how fast she did it.. she grabbed my shirt in the chest area and put the fan to my chin to have air blown on my boobs. And I kinda froze up and was really quiet and I didn't say much after that. She kept trying to push a manicure on me I had to tell her no over and over and over that I only want a GELL manicure and as the session went on she told me I'm too sensitive and I shouldn't get GELL. And I said why? She said because I'm too sensitive and I look at her and say no. I like GELL. After another time she burned my nail with the drill she rolls her eyes and said do you want her to finish? (Le Ann) and I said you know what yes. I want her to finish. She was so so so damn rude. Absolutely Crossed boundaries. Tried to make me feel like I was doing something wrong. She also asked me if I'd been there before and if one of her coworkers had done my nails and I said yes everyone in this room (3 other people) has done my nails before I've been here forever. Not once have I been treated like that. She literally was calling me names while expecting me to pay her? Like It's her job, not mine. So if you wanna be borderline assaulted, talked down to, told that your color is ugly, and be treated like you're the biggest inconvenience on plant earth, you'd like it here. Linda is the worst nail tech I have ever encountered in my fucking life. Oh! She also told me to stop watching as I was looking at her do my nails. I was watching a YouTube video and I would glance back-and-forth, but she literally said stop watching her do my nails. I encourage you to go to other nail salons. Or if you do stay here. Do not give Linda your money!!!

Throughout my entire appointment, I could hear the staff speaking Vietnamese and talking badly about customers. Unfortunately for them, I also speak Vietnamese, so I understood exactly what they were saying -- and they were talking about me the entire time. On top of that, my nails were done crooked and uneven. When I politely asked them to fix them, instead of addressing the issue professionally, I was scolded and spoken to disrespectfully in Vietnamese, in front of me, assuming I wouldn't understand. I genuinely don't understand how a customer is expected to spend their hard-earned money somewhere and then be insulted and treated disrespectfully by the people providing the service. The poor workmanship was disappointing enough, but the disrespectful behavior was completely unacceptable. I will never return to Grand Nails Lounge, and I would strongly recommend others think twice before spending their money here.

I needed to get my nails (I got the TAP hybrid full set and a silver pedicure) done last minute for…read morea wedding I was attending and this was the closest salon to me. I called and made an appointment so I could get my services done. The salon is cute and clean with a pleasant vibe upon arrival. I was greeted and sat fairly quickly which was nice. The pedicure was enjoyable but she cut too much on my cuticles on my big toes (you'll see the scabs on my cuticles in the photo) which was pretty painful but it wasn't a lot nor severe. I loved the shape and the color so overall it didn't dampen my experience too much. After my pedicure was finished I thought I would be sat immediately for my nails but when I asked the woman who serviced my pedicure she told her colleagues something and then told me Id be sat in a moment and to just wait and relax in the chair. They sat down two other women before they finally sat me down (I waited a total of around 35 minutes after my pedi) which I found very unprofessional. The woman that I was sat with for my nails was in front of me and throughout my pedicure service I had watched her complete a full set with intricate design and jewels. Really the nails were quite lovely and so as you can imagine when I was sat with her, I was excited to have her complete my very basic set. I wanted short/medium almond shape with a French tip. As soon as she put the tips on I knew it was going to be an awful experience. When she asked me the length I had her adjust it a couple times to get to my preferred length and she was rude from then on and her customer service and quality of work drastically declined as she continued.. She pre shaped my nails using nail clippers to get a "rough draft" of the almond shape and asked me if I liked them, I asked her is this just the initial shape and will the shape look cleaner (more even) when we get closer to putting on the TAP gel. She yelled at me HUH and after I repeated myself she looked at me like she didn't understand and then said yeah very curt. After that, every time she had me check anything on my nails she would rudely throw my hand at me and if I would ask her to change something she would rudely and loudly yell at me HUH. I wish I would've just had her remove the tips in the beginning the first time she was rude and paid for my pedicure and left. But because I didn't do that I paid $140 ($150 after tip bc yes I tipped and mainly it was for the pedi - that woman was lovely and she shouldn't suffer bc of her rude ass colleague) to be treated very poorly, yelled at, and left with very poor quality nails that are uneven and misshapen and on my right thumb literally missing the left side of the tip because she filed it down so much. Hindsight is 20/20 and if I could go back I would've left or just gotten the gel X where the shape is already done and all they need to do is adhere it and put the design. I've added photos of my nails, both hands and my feet so you could see for yourself the quality of that woman's work. They're kinda like smoky mirrors. From afar you don't or won't see the problem but if you zoom in or really look at them you'll see how uneven not only the shape is but also the French tip design. Now are they atrocious? No. I've had worse nail shape and design wise. Is it worth the price paid for them? H3ll no. If you do try this place, I do NOT recommend the nail tech who handled my TAP gel service. I didn't get her name but she was the one who sat right behind the front desk. There's 2 tech tables on the left hand side when you walk in. Hers was the one on the right. If you're in a pinch like I was it's an eh spot. Given how I was treated and the quality of my nails AND the price. I wouldn't recommend it. I'd rather spend the same amount or more money at a salon I'm treated respectfully and kindly at and my nails are even and done beautifully without me requesting them to be fixed.
