The X-Golf Simulator are one of my favorite things to do. I play them weekly up in Grand Rapids…read more This location is horrible. Service is bad. Food is frozen pizzas. But the worst part is the condition of this place. The mats are falling apart. The screens are ripped up. This location looks like it was rode hard and put away wet. This is easily the worst location I have EVER played at and I have 50 X-Golf rounds.

I love X Golf Kalamazoo!! The staff are amazing and knowledgeable. The simulators are pretty…read moreaccurate and easy to use. The food is perfect for snacks and a quick bite. They also have rotating beers on tap, plentiful canned and bottled drinks, and liquor. They also have NA beers for those who take it easy. It's not a restaurant, so expect that food will come out as it's ordered, not all together. The bar is centrally located for an easy walk up to order drinks. Staff does it all- teaching, troubleshooting, lessons, making food, and serving drinks, so keep that in mind. They offer leagues all year round and they are so much fun and a great way to meet fellow golfers. I would say prices are competitive with outdoor golfing and it's great for groups. Play options include stroke play, scramble, best ball, and tournaments. Larger groups should expect that they won't finish 18 especially if everyone is playing their own ball. If you don't understand what this place is about, the staff are helpful and will answer any questions about how reservations work. I love this place and will always recommend .

GLV resort encompasses six different golf courses as well as the Villas (a place you can stay)…read more Unlike some of the earlier reviews, I see the courses as pretty high quality, well-cared for, and fun to play. I recently played five of the courses as part of an annual extended weekend with a group of guys. We never had much wait time and course were in great shape. Stoatin Brae and Bedford Valley feel like the higher quality courses, but the Stonehedge courses and Gull Lake East were also challenging but fun. Service on SB was weak for a top course (no water stations, no beverage cart) and food service at all but GLE is minimal. Otherwise, all the staff were friendly and provided great service. We also stayed in two of the Villas units. As others have said, these accommodations seem designed for groups who don't care too much about luxury or the small niceties that might make a place special. Inside the soaps, towels, sheets, furniture and decor were along the lines of a Red Roof Inn. The buildings/rooms are dated and show it. Ours was one of the recently "redone" ones but still had mold issues in the bathroom, a thick layer of dust on top of the fridge, and other signs of being poorly cared for. There was a kitchen that was woefully under equipped -- no serving bowls, no paper towel, no dish soap, not dish brush, no oven mitts, and the list goes on. There is a small microwave, coffee maker and good over and fridge. The "resort" has no real amenities for guests, other than some non-course putting greens around the units. As said in another review, no lake access, no lake view. In the end, our group fit their target audience. We put up with the accommodations because they are what is available and provide easy access to the enjoyable golf that itself is in a location that makes it easy for our group to meet up each year.

I would give zero stars if I could. I took my 12yo there for a round of 18. We had some of there…read morestaff tee off after us. This is not a review for the golf course, but rather their service…read more I got a flat tire just as I was passing the golf course and pulled to change it. Unfortunately, my spare tire was flat. However, the club manager (or whoever he was... not sure if his title) took me back to the golf cart area and filled it up with air. He did not seem annoyed by it in the slightest, and without the help, I would have had to get a tow or figure out something else. I was very appreciative of the help.

Used to love this course. Then they started catering to "members"…read more When you arrive, no matter what your tee time is, the very rude guy that works there will tell you that you need to hurry because you will have a freight train behind you.... They never catch us. So not true. Usually we arrive early but one time a few weeks ago we were 2 mins late which was not our fault and he proceeded to berate us. He was acting a fool, yelling, throwing keys at us as he is meeting us half way to the parking lot. Telling ys, there is a reason for tee times and the whole freight train comment again. When I try to tell him that they never catch us, he begins to laugh, and being very snarky. He was like ok, well whatever. Never shuts up all the way to the bar for drinks. My husband ordered a bloody mary and the whole new more elevated rude attitude comes about. He was even cussing at us. Mind you, at this point we were still frequent flyers there. However, not any longer. We actually walked away, with no refund and no playing that day. We should have known better as 2 weeks prior we got a bad attitude out of him and we were early that day. The whole freight train comment that day also. His poor attitude should not be tolerated in a customer service based industry. But apparently that is the new norm there. And totally acceptable by the owner. The course is sub par at best and the grounds keepers are usually in the way. So not worth what you pay to play anyways. The guy really needs to reevaluate how he speaks to and treats people. One day it may be the wrong person he speaks to that way. Then it could end a lot differently then people just walking away
