The food was (well at least what I ordered) terrible. The place was very nice inside, however it was way too loud. Not loud because of the amount of people, that I can live with, but when you throw in the noise from the people along with the music blaring out of the speakers overhead, it tends to make for a terrible experience. We started with the natchos. Very good. Lots of toppings. We had the brisket dinner. The mac n cheese was very good. The brisket was so tender and had a huge smoke ring. The only complaint is that I prefer my brisket a little leaner. I did have to cut off a fair amount of fat but what was left was so tender I cut it with a fork. It's a trade-off. She was great with my nephew, and accommodating to all of our wants and needs. She was knowledgeable of the menu and made sure we were enjoying every part of the meal; from the Bloody Marys, the chopped salad (we had as an appetizer), and our sandwiches. I took my wife here for her birthday; her choice. Overall this was probably the worst dining experience we've had in years, obviously going back prior to covid. The wait was 40 minutes for a table and as much for slow table service as anything else. Our drink order didn't get filled and when we were able to finally flag down our waitress, she said sometimes her station doesn't print drink orders, which it apparently did not. On to our meal orders and I was given an option for side dishes w/ the Ribeye. What I did not know was that it was an additional $4.00 for a 4 oz dish of dried pasta and cheese. So now I have a $36.00 entree. And then comes the kitchen staff 15-20 minutes later informing my wife that they are out of mashed potatoes but she can have any of the other sides for no additional charge. Not 3 minutes later someone else comes to inform me of the same. Although it was nice of them not to charge us any additional $ for the substitutions we ended w/ rather expensive entrees with french fries on the side. A dinner for 2 with 1 drink each and tip was above $100.00. On two previous visits here the have respectively been out of Salmon and Ribeye, both times at quite an early time of the day. I live 5-6 blocks from this establishment but I will not be back. It seemed like a good concept when they opened but they have quickly proven to be unable to maintain any kind of quality all the while their prices have continued upwards. Save your time and your money; go somewhere else to eat. Choices here are too numerous to tolerate this level of apathy. read more

We went to grand River brewery last night which was Saturday at 5:30. The hostess told us about 20 minutes which was accurate. Once seeded we ordered our drinks right away. They were out of the hard cider and a couple of beers but a manager came over and promptly offered other options it was very busy but the staff was excellent they kept us updated on our orders & offered a free appetizer and a drink for the long wait. The bourbon and hot cider was delicious. We will definitely be back! our small town brewery. We had the chronic fried, Mac n cheese and the beef brisket sandwich. All were delicious. read more

Even though, we waited for 1 1/2 hours, it was worth it. Huge portions, quality food and pleasant staff. The Mac n' Cheese was some of the best I ever had, cheesy, rich and seasoned. The chronic fries were filled with bacon, garlic, Parmesan and a balsamic reduction to die for. The atmosphere was up beat, loved the decor, brick walls, 15-16 ft ceiling, the clock in the front window was a classic. We will be back. This is a must do when in Marshall, Mi. Eat and enjoy. I want to give this 4.5 stars but I'm Yelp illiterate. This restaurant is full of staff that just wants to get you what you need when you need it, it is a fun atmosphere, and they have wine, beer, cocktails and amazing food! The Schnitzel is tender and so tasty, and the ribeye was melt in your mouth delicious! We also had the fries with the balsamic on them (I can't remember the name) but they are delicious! I don't usually write reviews on how good meals are at local restaurants because frankly most of them don't deserve a good review. My husband and I just got back from the Valentine special here and I can't believe how good it was. I mean the appetizer, the entrée and the dessert and even the wine were awesome. The crab cakes had actual crab in them and not stuffing. My husband had the steak and it melted in your mouth and the seasoning was perfect. I had the salmon and it was also superb and the brussel sprouts were really good. The truffle dessert was beyond description. Not often we have a meal that we can actually describe in these terms locally. Nice to have a place that knows how to cook. read more
