We can't wait to come back soon to see the cafe and bar he has planned to put in, as well as to come hear the live music!!

Each room is decorated with an outdoor theme (very lodge-like). We had the "Bear Room" (with the cutest decorative pillows and comforter). It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bonus was the balcony with a great view! Each room has a microwave, mini-fridge, hairdryer, and shower essentials. I would recommend calling direct for packages and special offers before checking online travel sites. We secured a very reasonable rate for the Corvette Car Show weekend. The Gateway Inn has a hot tub, sauna, a nice lounge (another of my "patio places to go" collection) as well as a Keurig alongside a vending machine at the front lobby. Plenty of parking for passenger vehicles and trailers alike!

This hotel has lots of parking, a coffee shop, bar, restaurant, hot tub, friendly staff, clean rooms and a comfortable "lodge" feel. Rooms have a small fridge and microwave oven. Very accommodating. It's not an upscale luxurious hotel with chandeliers and snooty Patton's. It's ehat you expect for an upgraded "lodge" hotel. Log furnitures. Taxidermy on 2nd floor. Vending machines on ground floor. It may not be in "town", but has everything one might need for the evening! (Town in 10 min walk away)

Friendly staff...when we had to check out a day early we got a room credit for the next stay instead of the hotel keeping our money. We stayed one night with our window open and blinds open just to get a little air in the burning up room. Our room was at the top of the stairwell where everyone going up or down could see into our room, but if we would have closed the shades or window it would have been too hot even on top of the cover where we stayed. We could only stay one night even though I had booked four. The owner refused to reimburse any of my money. He actually said if I checked out by 10am and someone else booked it he would give some of my money back, but when I checked out before 10am they didn't even list the room on the sites. I am guessing they probably found a way to rent it and also take my over $1000 for three more nights. I feel like the owner is a con man! The room is truly ugly. ex: old green tile shower from the 60's... The view is beautiful, the staff is sweet and the location on the boardwalk is great, but in July it needs AC! It never advertised that it did not have AC like other places ex: YMCA hotel. Please do not fall into the same trap I did. It cost me over $1000 on my every five year anniversary with my wife to find out.

The bathrooms and showers (in the front) are so clean and well appointed. It shows they care. They even had granite countertops!! The roads are dirt/gravel but they are also well cared for, little dust, easy to walk and no major potholes. We loved seeing the horses every day and they were very happy to see us when we had carrots and apples to share. The WRR is close to the lake and town. Also a good location for exploring Granby, Fraser, Winter Park and more. The people that work there are all great. Pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. We will be back.

It's also a 5 minute drive to Grand Lake and horseback riding. The town is definitely on "mountain time" meaning they start shutting down when it gets slow, or just before nightfall. THE RANCH: The ranch in general does have a lot to offer and it appeared that it's mostly used for weddings. They have a basketball court, volleyball court, kids play area, petting area with various farm animals, indoor pool, workout area, kitchen area, gazebo, fishing stream, 2 bridges, yard games, s'mores fire pit, BBQ grills, and a ton of places for photo ops! There were also several cabins throughout the ranch of various sizes that could hold families of 4-5 in each cabin. I think there were close to 15 different cabins to stay in. PROS: We really liked being on the ranch and got to spend some great quality family time doing family events on the ranch. We fished, rode horses, played BB, cornhole, and a few other yard games. We also saw a large Moose and her baby grazing about 100m from our cabin. It's really common to see Moose in the area, but it was a special treat to see her with her baby. We also saw humming birds and tiny chipmunks around all cabins each day. CONS: For 2 days we became overwhelmed by mosquito's. It got so bad that they called in a local company to fog the area with repellent to help kill them. The fogging did help and significantly reduced the number of mosquito's in the area. The rooms, bedding, beds, bathrooms, and cabins in general are nothing to brag about. They are old, and in need of big updating. I tried not to let this cloud my judgement about the ranch as a whole because we were there to enjoy the outdoors but it would have been nice to come back to a nice room and shower at the end of the day. If their main focus is a wedding venue, I was expecting to be in a much nicer cabin, especially considering they cater to people on one of their most memorable days. The cell phone coverage in the area is very hit and miss. Overall, the family and I enjoyed our time here and made some great memories!!

I reserved a river view condo and it was amazing. We spent a lot of time on our deck overlooking the river. Spectacular view! Our condo had one queen bed, two twin beds in the loft, and two bathrooms. We commented over and over how there was not one speck of dust ANYWHERE! Not even on the decorative items above the kitchen cabinets. The place was immaculate! Our fireplace was great early each morning but we only needed it for a few minutes before the sun came out strong and we were on our way out the door to tour the town's boardwalk and enjoy a pontoon ride. We were out enjoying the fabulous weather and scenery for most of our trip but the time spent at the lodge was so relaxing and enjoyable. The rates were great too. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer and try out the restaurant. Definitely will try on my next stay.
