Driving thru Quincy and noticed this bakery reviewed on Yelp. And, yes, it deserves the 5 stars! We stopped in, purchased a brownie and a bear claw pastry. My friend and I attest to their deliciousness. The quality of the baked goods is really world class quality, right on the Main Street of this little town. read more

Correct address IS 446 Main St Quincy Ca. But as of 7-24-2020 the location Yelp sent me to was wrong. See picture. Blue dot is correct location and red Yelp dot is WRONG. This is a serious bakery. She takes orders and bakes wedding cakes. It's 12:23 pm and she said she was fully stocked when she opened but she sells out quickly. The only lunch food today, now, on a Friday is homemade little pizza which looks more like a very good focaccia bread. So really not a lunch stop. We bought a cheesecake. The owner is very talented not only with the appearance of her cakes, but with the flavors as well. I wanted a dye-free cake for my daughter's first birthday and she made it happen. She used a decorative confetti to add color. All our guests raved about the cake. Even one of our friends said it was the same as their wedding cake! Rich and scrumptious. Not to mention a personal smash cake for my daughter which she devoured. Another one she made happen for us was very last minute but she still made it happen-a German chocolate cake for my husband's 45th birthday. Only had a week's notice. Just delicious!! read more

We love Grandma Janes Place. We stop whenever we come through Quincy, which has been a lot over the last several years. The owner, her daughter and their employee are super friendly and helpful. We ordered a key lime pie last minute last summer and they were able to accommodate and it was absolutely delicious. The muffins, pastries and cookies are wonderful as well. It's refreshing when a business appreciates their customers and treat them likewise. read more

So here's the deal.....I fell in love with this place the minute I walked in for the first time. To understand why, you'll have to go back about 20 years ago when my wife and her mother co-owned an almost identical shop in Paradise California called "Purrfect Perk!" Yeah, they had a cat thing going on (but that's another story). Grandma Jane's reminds me of that place and time so much. From the moment you walk through the door, it just feels right. From the art and decor on the walls (some of which you can purchase) to the scents that greet you as you approach the counter, and the items on the menu, everything about Grandma Jane's feels like home. These days, a place like that is a rare commodity for any community that is lucky enough to have one. And it goes without saying that the baked goods, breakfast items, and everything else on the menu is great! The staff helpful and friendly too! Thanks for the great experience. Grandma Jane's made the mini pies for our wedding at a venue down the road (Kinship Ranch) and they were AMAAAAZING! So delicious - we got lemon, pecan, apple, and cherry and our guests loved them. Kim was also super easy to work with to determine order quantity and flavors. We got married at Twenty Mile House in May, and we had a great experience working with Kim. Not only did she craft gorgeous and delicious desserts for our wedding itself, but we also worked with her to arrange a spread of mini pastries for a brunch we held the next morning. Everyone who had a dessert or a pastry raved about it. She even accommodated my veganism in making our cutting cake! She was flexible and made great suggestions when we were brainstorming. Beautiful shop, clean and inviting. The coffee was smooth, hot and delicious. The pastries will blow your mind! I love lemon but very rarely get awesome lemon pastries that are not all sugar.
